FOOD PLAN FOR REDUCING:
Breakfast:
1 Protein
1 Grain
1 Fruit
Lunch:
1 Protein
1 Vegetable
1 Fat
Dinner:
1 Protein
1 Vegetable
1 Grain
1 Fat
Protein:
4 oz. meat/poultry/fish
2 eggs
2 oz. hard cheese
4 oz. cottage cheese (plain)
8 oz. yogurt (plain, no added sugar)
2 oz. nuts/seeds/nut butters (no sugar)
6 oz. beans (legumes)
4 oz. hummus (check ingredients for sugar)
2 veggie burgers (check ingredients for sugar/flour)
1/2 pkg. tofu
Grain:
4 oz. cooked rice, potato, quinoa (or any cooked whole grain)
4 oz. corn or peas
4 oz. winter squashes
2 oz. oatmeal or oat bran (weighed dry, before preparing with water)
3 rice cakes
Fruit:
1 piece of fruit (apple, orange, banana, peach, etc.)
6 oz. loose or diced fruit (berries, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, fruit salad, etc.)
2 oz. dried fruit (raisins, dates, apricots, etc.) (check ingredients for added sugar)
Vegetables:
16 oz. cooked or raw or a combination of both
including summers squashes
including avocado and olives (used sparingly)
Fat:
1 Tablespoon oil (olive oil, canola oil, safflower oil, vegetable oil, coconut oil, etc.) (any oil)
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine (no sugar in ingredients)
Condiments (with meals):
free to use mustard, vinegar, spices, lemon/lime, cinnamon, pam spray, herbs, soy sauce, fat free broth or stock (unless you find yourself abusing any of these foods)
(check ALL ingredients for added sugar)
Avoid:
flour
alcohol
sugar, artificial sweeteners, all sweeteners

You’re 💯 right regarding diet. In October last year I went cold turkey - no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no booze. 💯 vegan and feeling phenomenal not to mention light! I lost 52 pounds and am at my normal weight now! You have to make the decision for your health and that’s that. No turning back.

Lulu, I love the messages you convey on your channel. I too, am a long time sugar addict, now in remission for 20 months. Once day at a time. I follow the same food plan as you and I’m so grateful I’m out of the food and into healthful eating and living. All because I gave up sugar and white flour!! I’ve learned I used sugar and carbs to manage chronic anxiety as underneath ALL of it is compulsive negative thinking. Now, I’m so grateful to be free from the compulsions that use to rule me!! Keep sharing your daily positive messages. There are so many ppl struggling.

Your comment is so on point for me. Thank you. Am sure sugar and flour lead the brain to the chronic anxiety and negative thinking. When I eat clean, I am less fearful of “whatever”. As soon as sugar and flour are eaten, I am more destructive in my thoughts to myself, and no one else. They are such addictive substances. Thank you for your awakening comment - it hit a chord. Continued good health to you both physically and mentally.

You get the huge reward of all the benifits that come with healthy eating. I’m in the process of regaining my health at 63. I used to be so physically fit. 17 yrs of martial arts, light weights & eating right down the drain & a huge weight gain after I stopped. Insulin resistance, fatty liver and tired all the time. So happy I found your delightful videos, I have to tell you this was a giant boost for me. Thank you & thanks for posting your regular diet, love it!

Lulu I woke up today and received my bloodwork results from yesterday, I was so disapointed with myself I couldn't believe I let things get worse. I knew I haven't been feeling well this past couple weeks, But then here is this video !!!! I cried and smiled and began to feel like I want to start doing this right now !!! Have been without sugar for 11 months now. No to low carbs and dairy. I feel like a million bucks. No sugar is deffinately the way to go. Have lost so much weight. What a difference in energy. Feel like a kid again and I’ll be 70 in July. Right on the same page with ya.

Lulu, just watched this today. Been struggling with sugar/carb addiction since childhood. Used it to comfort from an abusive childhood. You have inspired me more than I could ever express…you are living my dream life. I’m 53 now, and unfortunately cannot do my long dreamt about “van life” as my husband suffers from Parkinson’s, BUT I can make the change to get my body healthy for me and to take care of him. I’m 5’6, 190lbs, and that’s the LAST time I will ever say that last number. You truly are an inspiration, please never stop posting your authentic, sincere, positive videos. There are so many people who need them! God bless you, and May God be with you and keep you safe on all your future travels!

Gosh, Amy, I am with you. I am caring for my husband of 56 years who is in the final stages of his terrible battle with PD. Like you, I had no weight issues but, I seem to have lost my way, caregiving. I don't know who I am anymore! I have such a tight schedule, every 3 hours of just giving him bed care, never mind meals, meds, toiletries and meds. I am exhausted.
I just wrote to LuLu, today because, by shopping, prepping and eating in front of me, she is going to make me rethink what I have been doing to get buy and, make a change.

I threw my pudding away when I watched this. I didn't eat it at all. Please be a little patient with us who tend to weaken easier. I have eaten anything and everything my whole 66 years. I'm not bragging at all but I have always stayed slim even eating all this. I was and still am very energetic but I would like to lose 5 pounds. I realize what you said. It's really about nourishing this vessel God gave us to live in. Thank you for your advice. You have a really cute shape. You're aging well Lulu. Thank you for trying to help others to eat better.
