The gravity generator is a trademark symbol of Origins ships. You should add that behind glass in the Engineering decks. (Or if possible, make it visible for passengers, almost like an attraction)
Suggestions: 1. Reverse the bridge height, from high to low (like the MISC Starfarer line) 2. Add a Captain Seat 3. Call it Origin 1200 IS (Interstellar Shuttle)
I imagine this is what the Beluga would look like in Elite Dangerous. 100% would buy in SC. She'd give the Genesis a run for her money. And almost 1000 SCU? Hell yeah.
It looks like you are keeping the standard seating on the top where there could be a beautiful entertainment level with great views out of a top glass roof like the 890 has. If those standard business class seats get the top level at least give them the nice glass roof view. So much roof blocking what could be an amazing view out the top of the ship. The renders are looking better and better though. Still not a huge fan of the bulbous whale shape, would like to see some 890/400 type countours on the hull. Great work though, keep it up.
I'd love to see a 700 series in the Origin line-up. I like your take on a more passenger oriented version to compete with the Starliner one day. Crew quarters might need to be individual. Engineering could be more panels and maybe a few engine related items... Origin seems to hide all its engine components. Great job as always!
She is beautiful. A labor of love, i can see it. Reminds me of THE Ferry I would want to take to get to my next place of business/project or vacation spot. Would be cool if you could park your p-72 somewhere and use it while on the trip, only to return home in as much style. Wonderful!
Absolutely love the idea of a business class ship, especially with the additional focus on engineering crew, , and Origin are definitely the ones to do it! Would have loved for this to be modular in a way where you could essentially turn it into a flying office building for exploration and engineering. Desperately want this
Being an ex-frequent traveller and had the opportunity to travel on business class many times I would of suggested more private travel accomodation for the High End VIP passengers. Those who would not like to be recognised for whatever reasons should have private rooms which could also double as escape pods or even small shuttles in case of any unforseen incidents. Even in airlines today you have the option of private rooms on the larger carrier jets.
What? How come there’s all that lovely open space and they’ve put cargo in it! They could have fitted in a few more jacuzzis and pot plants in there! Seriously though fantastic concept video - amazing work you’ve put into it.
As a big Origin fan but no expert by any means😂 I really like your design! A ship I wound buy for my organisation. But if I look at the exterior of the ship it doesn't say Origin to me. Most if not all origin ships have a same "shape". The bow (nose) is narrow and the stern (tail) is wide. Almost like a triangle😜. I hope my comment makes sense😅. Keep up the good work💪💪
It’s definitely Origin with a bit of Banu exterior shape language. “Nice place, lots of space”. Origin and Banu have beautiful ships with mass wasted space for visual effect. Since Banu are so big, they create bigger spaces and passageways likely accessible by small vehicles like Nox and PTV so you may actually get some use of them.
I really like this very original content! Keep it up. I have some ship concepts in my head but I lack the talent with available programs to bring them to life.
I like many aspects. Loving the name. It's street name will probably be "Triple 7i" Few suggestions. The balcony in the storage could but more utilitarian. The back of the house doesn't need to be as pretty. If I told you some ideas for a Origin 300 type may I be named on the design team?
I like that there are no weapons (that i can see) on the ship, makes sense. However, there should still be a security team with their own office with a camera and security system
What a great take, kudos! I feel you were particularly sucessfull with the exterior design language, this 'whale' design is very 'Origin'! On the interior i suppose many assets carry on some 'MISC' language from your previous projects. This can be seen especially on the cargo hold, engineering and somewhat in the passegeways, elevators and even somewhat on the bridge. But then, those smooth lines and minimalist feel are hard to get right i'd suppose. You got me thinking...some general thoughts: - i feel the main lobby is a bit too spread out? Perhaps it could be solved with a more axial, longitudinal foyer with stairs at the center leading up and access at the sides to the escape barges. Btw, i feel there should be a medical facility here somewhere close to where you put the elevator. With more stairs along the axis you need less elevators at the back. - i would be curious to see some experimentation with a glass ceiling? I would love to see a version with the party deck moved up above the passenger deck. The front lounge could give way for some first class seats and a exclusive piano bar up above? :P ....that last one would definetly require some carefull tweaking of the exterior, but one can only dream!, lol
I love the fact that the ship dont have weapons. I keep saying they should have civilian grade ship with cargo hang racks where there would be hard points.
In a game with open PvP, this is unfeasible. In the literal sense. People go full murder hobo on lightly armed ships. What do you think will happen in completely unharmed one? They'd be NPC target practice, and nothing more.
@@MonteKristof the idea is if we had civilian ship without hard points there would provoke more hires for security transport, hence another provoke for co-op with pvp in mind. Right now you dont really have a need for anyone to be with you. Theres a small hint of it due to the ship rebalancing, but its still not needed in most situations.
@@AdjudicatorBrbal Do you really think that? Let me see you defend your Caterpillar against a Vanguard, and tell me how it went. Because this is an open PvP game, every ship without exception need to have guns, even if it's only for psychological solace (as realistically, there's not much any cargo ship can do against a military ship). But I am vehemently against any unharmed ship. People already need escort as it stands now. Make "backspacing" impossible, and you'll see the need for escort raise drastically.
@@MonteKristof dude youre arguing a pointless opinion. Paragraph after paragraph for just a selfish perception and what you believe. I made my point make sense and you still try to debate. Okay fine youre right and have the last word. I wont read no more of your responses. But please by all means have the last thumb dance. 😆😆😆😆
@@AdjudicatorBrbal But your point do not make sense. I am speaking not in a sense of "lore", as your point would make it work, but as a real life fact : because SC is an open PvP game, and we muct include player mentality , both murder hobos, and PvE that would rather backspace than do anything else, and KNOWING that escort duty would seldom be requested even if that was the only option, realistically, having no weapon on a ship would render this ship only a NPC asset, as no one in their right mind would pilot it, as there are other options, with guns. It is completely silly to believe that a ship without weapon make sense in a universe of open PvP and little consequances for said PvP.
Honestly i was just talking to someone yesterday, making jokes about Origin making a heavy fighter the 500i series which includes a couple of different versions, 500i gunship/dropship with 4 sz 3 gimbaled weapons for the pilot and 2 sz 4 manned turrets, 18 sz 3 missiles, and a cargo bay big enough to fit a ursa rover or bigger. then there is the 550i gunship/bomber with 4 sz 4 gimbaled weapons for the pilot, 3 sz 4 manned turrets, 18 sz 3 missiles, 12 sz 5 missiles and 4 sz 9 torps(or just drop the torps and add a couple more sz 5 missiles), the cargo bay can only fit nothing bigger than 1-2 rovers(due to the missile/torp section), and is a slower ship than the 500i. both the 500i series is faster than the 600i but not by much. I dont know how to design or draw otherwise i would've had a concept drawn out already.
The front is the one thing that kind of threw me off, not sure if this was a design choice to not go to close to CIG Origin ships. All in all this was well thought out, and seems like a dream for the future. I still don't think CIG is ready to fiddle with so many details you add to your designs, for they are basically a new gameplay loop that has to be designed.
Welcome aboard the Boeing 777 Galactic Space Whale... The Best luxury travelling ship in the galaxy... or better say... The best money machine whale for pirates ! 😱
I like the concept but I have an issue with a lot of origin ships. They only have holo controls. If they ever go out, you're pretty much screwed. They have no backups
My thought also. Even for a Spacecraft, more space requires a bigger ship which means more mass, which means more inertia, which means bigger engines and more fuel required to accelerate and decelerate. This means that the ship that packs more clients into a smaller space will be more profitable. More space equals more comfort and it's more regal but only a small set of wealthy clients will pay the premium for it.
How would I design this is that due to its luxury brand and the 400i and 890J looks like a todays luxury yacht I would go that route but with a catamaran or trimaran type. It will be wider but will not looked bloated but sleek and streamlined.
Yes! Fan-made ships would be awesome and add so much to the game! They could easily set up a "green light" program on Spectrum for the community to approve ships in order to prevent flying sex organs and other offensive shapes. Too bad CIG won't allow it :-(

Yes, the whole idea behind it is - no weapons - if travelling in dodgy area - hire escort

If its bigger than the bigger ship put in a masive hager bey for many small ships
Add a conference room and a full size theater with speakers and the ability to stream movies online on the theater screen.
or watch YT with friends! :)
