Oh my god... that’s exactly how I felt at the beginning and I was 37 when I got pregnant and I felt like I was 14 again. It took me til week 15 I think to tell my mum. But trust me there’s a reason the pregnancy lasts so long, it gives you time to get used to it and prepare. Huge congratulations you’ll absolutely love having a littlun. Xxxx
Never usually interested in pregnancy videos but I've been watching you for years and as ever you were honest and frank and I so appreciate that you did the video this way. We're bombarded with this idea that pregnancy at a certain age and in a long term relationship is always a good thing and something to be super happy about instantly, it totally isn't always this way and I'm glad you documented all your thoughts. And I'm glad you're feeling more on a level now. Get it girl!

Honestly the tradition of not telling people till you're 12 weeks is bullshit. Good on you for telling people!!!
My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 12 weeks and we hadn't told today anyone.
I had to call my mum and tell her I was in the hospital about to have an operation and that I had been pregnant but had lost the baby. It was one of the worst days of my life. I now have 2 healthy little babes!

Mary, I can't tell you how much I am glad to hear this good news. I have never commented here before because my English is not good .....as if listening to my thoughts up below a year ago. my son is 7 months old and i can tell you that all emotions are worth it. I am very happy for you both, you will be amazing parents. make my day even happier as if my sister is pregnant (i don't have a sister) please upload more videos i really want to how will it change over the months. for ultrasounds you need a full bladder because it sort of “pushes” your womb up and makes the image clearer! But the pushing down can make it a bit uncomfortable 😂 x

Thank you for this, I've been watching other 1st trimester videos and just not able to connect with them because everyone seems so excited and I am... not there yet. Also had major anxiety telling my mom/sister and felt in a odd way, ashamed? Hoping this all passes and I can start to get excited! Thank you for your honestly !

Huuuuge congratulations! 💕 I’m 35 weeks pregnant and still had a wobble the other day like “I’m not ready for this!” (Ours was third round of IVF so my rational side was like “errrm you BETTER be ready!”) Wishing you a super happy and healthy pregnancy. 💕 xx
Congratulations!!! The best news!! I’m a student sonographer so I can tell you why you needed to have a full bladder for the scan- a full bladder gives the sound waves something to go through (fluid/urine) so that you can see the uterus whilst also pushing the uterus to a position so that it can be scanned more fully. So if you didn’t have any urine in your bladder, which is in front of the uterus, the waves wouldn’t have anything to go through and you’d get no picture because the sound waves can’t travel through air.

Congratulations!!! 💕 Such an exciting (scary) time. Lol. I’m 27 and I’m just a few days from 12 weeks. I still haven’t told my dad. 😂 I’m a college graduate, travelled the world, in a committed relationship and I still feel like a teenager who has no idea what I’m doing. I feel like I’m gonna keep it to myself a little longer. But yay! September babies!🍂

I'm pregnant with my 3rd and completely agree with you that at first although I was so happy I was thinking "sh*t! We are outnumbered! How are we gonna cope?" It only took me about 24 hours to wrap my head around and now excited! But thank you for sharing your honest thoughts because all women feel like that at some point theres no point in hiding it. I had miscarriage between my 1st and my 2nd child and because the first one went well we thought oh we are sorted let's tell everyone unfortunately we found out just before our 12 week scan. It did help having people support and share my grief however it was getting to the point of oh we forgot to tell them etc and got too much to keep repeating however completely agree share the news with the people you know will share in the joy and god forbid through the grief.. on a brighter note though congratulations and soon will be 2nd trimester and that's the best one so enjoy x

First, I am happy for you, I've been a fan of your UA-cam from the beginning. Secondly, the advice that others will want to give you are all from the heart - take what feels right for you. Here comes the advice from one viewer who is a mom, everything you are going through is normal. Pregnancy brain, being tired, being emotional, food - yes, food - no; it's all normal. It's okay to share the ups and the downs with us, that's what you are about - real life, real feelings - the real deal and we appreciate you just as you are. So hang in there, enjoy this time and all the things it brings good and not as good...you're a mom!!! I'm so so so happy for you!!

I’m so happy for you and Hainsley Bear!!! I’m also super happy as I’m expecting my first child too! I’m 16wks and due mid August. Like I’ve said before, I know it sounds weird but it’s like you’re my friend and to have my friend going through this too which I find comforting. I had a really hard time in my first trimester, my sickness was unreal and my mood was the lowest I’ve ever felt, thankfully I’ve hit my turning point now and like you feeling very very lucky! Congrats Mary. I’m due at the start of September with baby number 2 so I feel your pain. I totally agree with the tell people if you want to sentiment. I always told my friends early on. I think you’re not too far from where I am so I would love to recommend Kingston hospital for the birth. My first was born there and although we’ve moved we are going back for number 2. Lovely midwives there x

But embrace it And eat whatever you wanna well want get a friend to get the Nando’s after the first tri you should start feeling better and wanna start eating things mine was orange flavoured things and vingery things

Honestly I think this just shows that you dont ever feel ready for a baby, no matter what age you are, and it's ok to feel like that because in reality your just scared about the change, or being a bad mum etc. But everyone has that fear and I think its reassuring to know that most people will feel like that. Omg I’m about to turn 39 and I’m 12+4. I’m experiencing the same as you except no family support. Tired, no appetite, just wanted fast food and fruit. Also terrified. I should say I have a great husband tho so overall very lucky.

I lost my appetite until about week 35. It was bizarre as there was nothing I craved at all throughout the pregnancy. I did have aversions and reflux too throughout.
Healthy little boy born a month ago 😊 and the positive (without trying at all- definitely was not intentional) was that I lost all the weight I put on as it was so minimal.
