Thanks mate you are a very good teacher! If anyone is missing any $2 coins, they were all in my machine!! Retrieved from the black rubber drain pipe and also wedged in the pump where it joins the grey drain pipe. I’m donating it all to you because you just saved me a very expensive service call. Best “How to” clip I’ve ever watched. Thanks again!
Thank you for such an informative and easy to follow video. After no blockages were found, we bought a replacement drain pump and installed it, all by following your video. Our machine is good as new, and we feel accomplished!
Brilliant guide thank you my issue was exactly the same, a $2 coin caught in the drain hose. Once I saw your video I was able to feel it at full extension of my hand in there. I could barely touch it and wasn't able to remove it so I watched your guide on what was required to get to the pipe. I considered the job, then cut a 4 inch square hole in the side of my machine and had the job done in 10 minutes and the ability to fix it in future if it happens again with no effort ;) Bosch should really have had a maintenance port at that part of the machine anyway, down the track I might 3D print a cover for the hole I made. For anyone considering the same job, decent tin snips made short work of the machines sheet metal.
thank you so much - one thing that happened with me was the filter was really, really hard to remove because lint was jamming it. Persevere; I used pliers to get more leverage. You're an absolute legend.
mate thanks for this video, probably the most detailed one out there. My drain pump is not spinning when doing a cycle (like you show around min2) but I can move it manually (with a screwdriver or something) so I know its not locked or stuck. Is my only option to get a new pump? I've dis-assembled the whole thing to check if the cable was loose or something but everything was correctly connected. thanks cheers from Australia
Very helpful video. Drum is not rotating and LOCK WITH ROUND CIRCLES symbol blinking on display. Please explane the probe and its remedy. (FROM INDIA) thanks.
now this was 3 weeks ago… but you should be able to unlock it by holding in the start button for 3-5 seconds. For me I had to ”start” a program for it to work.
You know that my Bosch has NO spin setting anymore. Only rinse/spin. I find that soooo bad when I really just need to spin something. Bosch, bring back the normal spin only. It activates the pump anyway if very wet and ..not everything needs a rinse.🤦
Thanks for the video. The design of this machine is so poor. How you need to tear all the damn thing apart just because something get stuck in there. A simple filter should do the work. I hate Bosch for this miserable design
When I open the cap , all the water come out, the cross is spinning well too, I blow to the tube and could feel the air as well… But the washing machine is still not draining water…. 😫😫😫
I had once a blockage in front of impeller/cross that spins. The hole on the left side, the inlet. (He shows the outlet, after the impeller) A hint that something was blocking waste water inlet to pump was: When the drum was 'full' with water unable to drain, that the water could not drain well, actually not gush out as usual of this little black emergency drain tube. That meant the water never made it to the pump even because it was blocked BEFORE the inlet to the impeller. I dismantled the whole thing.....disconnected the inlet tube and wow, there was a washable mouth mask....how that can get into the tube just is miracle in itself.
Another idea as it has just happened. If it's not a coin right there at impeller outlet, check the outlet of your waste water drain pipe. The thing he blew into connects into...and a blockage can be right there. My pipe is fixed into the syphon drain. It had a twig!! stuck there from pipe end into syphon (which is smaller diameter inlet and has a sharp corner) and paper tissue and hair got stuck around it and voila, blockage It was so satisfying to remove easily and no washing machine dismantling this time. I don't mind dismantling, but have a dryer on top and that's always huge to lift down and up . There are a lot of options where the blockage can sit. Go through it methodically. You will find the issue, pre propeller, post propeller. Good luck!!

Blowing up the tube, genius! Thank you. I’d watched the Bosch video and tried their instructions but it didn’t fix till I tried your tip.
Glad it worked for you

so helpful, thank you
Fantastic, thanks.
You absolute legend. A fox necklace was stuck in my black pipe haha.
Thx a lot, I found one stone blocked🎉
I am not able to open the knob in the circular door

Same for me. Could you share your solution? Thanks!
Thank you a lot 🙂🙂 it worked
In our case it is often a lolly pop stick stuck in the drain pump, semi- regularly 🤦♀️ such a pain to get to it.
I feel your frustration those lollipop sticks. Better than coins though
You know that my Bosch has NO spin setting anymore.
Only rinse/spin.
I find that soooo bad when I really just need to spin something.
Bosch, bring back the normal spin only. It activates the pump anyway if very wet and ..not everything needs a rinse.🤦
To SPIN without Rinse... Select "Rinse/Spin" mode, then press the "Rinse Plus" button to toggle off the Rinse step. Then you are left with just Spin

Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 we were able to fix the error thanks to you. Cheers mate.
