I watched a few reactions over a year ago when I first started struggling with coming back to my childhood faith. Been having a tough time couldn't sleep I sat tonight ...subscribed and watched video after video... .. so glad I found this channel again. God is first in my life now and music is closely behind only my family .

What’s unique about Christian worship music is that the people singing back are not singing with or to the artist, it’s direct worship to God! I miss worshipping in unity and can’t wait to go back to it. It’s where I feel Jesus the most!

It's a direct reference to Matthew 14:28-29. And it mentions the Holy Spirit about 1000 times. Sure it may be a bit repetitive, but it's a wonderful song asking for the Spirit to lead us into greater faith. You don't have to like the song, but if that's your only objection, take heart!

Isn't it amazing how the Holy Spirit can move in you so strongly that it's not just another song. "There I find you in the mystery" refers to the earlier line "you call me out upon the waters" which means that when the person is walking on the water they find Jesus there, even though they dont fully understand how or why.
"Keeping eyes above the waves" refers to when Peter took his eyes off Jesus, and began to look at his circumstances he couldn't walk on the water anymore, and began to drown.

Actually using the word "Mystery" isn't too uncommon in the Bible. Paul's letters specifically mention the whole story and character of God as a "Mystery" a few separate times.
It's a really good word for it, too. Christians aren't just called to be good people. We're called to fully lean onto God. For our finances, our minds, our futures. Then the Christian will be able to slowly see where God wants to lead them through life, and then God reveals his character to that Christian more and more. God's movement is very tangible and always good, but also super mysterious. It's flipping awesome.

As a 22-year-old Christian I can confirm this. Once the Spirit is in, we’re deep diving into this ocean - we see the world in a different view, living the life with a different purpose, knowing that trusting God has always been the way. Explored many religions and world philosophies, but somehow I just cant turn my back against God. He fills something inside that cannot be filled by the world.

@Francisco Rodriguez-Sanchez there is a difference between receiving the holy spirit and feeling his presence. In this video you can tell that his spirit is responding to the holy spirit's presence that is being welcomed by the words of the song. In worship we invite the presence of the Lord to come and visit with us so we can pour our affection on him and so he can move in our hearts. Its a tangible presence, and even if you are not a believer, your spirit will still respond.
When you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, you are correct in saying that you must first receive Jesus christ as lord and savior. Once you have been cleansed and made whole by him, he wants his spirit to come and dwell within you so that he can have a closer connection with you and so that you can operate in power and authority in the spirit world. Having the Holy inside of you creates a direct link between you and God and he becomes your conscience and leads you. The main sign that you have received the baptism of the holy spirit is that you begin to speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues is a gift from God that allows you to communicate directly to him and is a powerful tool to recieve information as well as to build up your spiritual authority.

In the new testament Jesus speaks to his disciples about how after he died and rose again that he would give them the gift of the holy spirit. Even john the Baptist said that he only baptized with water, but he was preparing the way for jesus who would baptize with fire. After jesus ascended to heaven, after his death, his followers were gathered together worshiping God and praying together when they all began to speak in tongues and flames of fire appeared over their heads. This was the first baptism of the holy spirit. After that point, all the followers of Jesus were given the power to lay hands on the sick and see them healed, and even cast out evil spirits.
Basically its not mandatory, but if you want to be closer to God and want him to use you in a mighty way, it is something you should be seeking. I pray in tongues every day because the lord shows me things and shows me how i should pray in English as well.
Personally, it happened to me when i was 5 years old. My little brother and i were playing church one night and i wanted to be the worship leader, we put on a tape that had worship songs on it and the presence of the Holy Spirit actually showed up. I felt such a love and adoration for Jesus and i felt his love and i started to cry because he loved me so much, next thing I knew i was praising him in another language. I went and told my parents what happened with tears in my eyes and asked if we could please pray for my brother so he could get it too! Lol. About a week before this happened i had a dream that jesus came to me and told me i would speak in tongues.

Let me tell you I haven’t cried over music in a while but I miss going to church camps and worshiping. Worship was my favorite part because there is nothing better then hearing the crowd sing together, it’s so moving and so full of love.

I use to do sound at my old church and I loved feeling the Holy Spirit when everyone was praising the Lord! I remember doing it one night for an event and really felt God's presence. That night 6 middle schoolers decided to walk with God.
