@TeddyGreyOS I would like to recommend the song "Her" it is a rapline song with an old school feel, especially the be bap beat. Also I would like to suggest the song "We On" I think this one is something you might like as well. And if you want to change things up and try one that may or may not be your style, but is still a good song, I was thinking of "AM I Wrong". Just some different suggestions. I always seem to miss the patreon pulls, but of I am remembering correctly I don't think you have done any of those songs. If it were me I would start with "Her"
Because you are open to many genres and appear to love instruments and diverse sounds. Can I suggest the band Rush song Tom Sawyer paired with Neil Peart Ultimate Drum Solo Rush live from Frankfurt.
yes and they cried while they wrote it. i think after they wrote it after almost breaking off so it must have been hard to shake up those memories again
@ruthnunez6927 Outro: Tear" (also as "Tear") is a song by RM, Suga and J-Hope (also known as the rap-line) of BTS. It was released on May 18, 2018 They all wrote their own verses
13:12 - The Big Three (YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and SM Entertainment) had a stranglehold on the scene, and with BTS trying to create their own lane between idol pop and hip hop they got hate and pressure from all sides on the climb. The Rap Line had gotten some intense backlash from the underground hip hop scene for "dressing like girls", etc, and were called fake, posers, all kinds of horrible stuff. At the time of this album they had finally started seeing commercial success though they were still fighting for respect and prestige. Big Hit hadn't had the resources of the Big Three so they seriously struggled on the climb, and each member had their own traumas they were carrying forward with them. When we get to the MV for Fake Love off of this same album you'll get to see representations of those individual hells.
You absolutely nailed it, man- what a pleasure to watch! This is legitimately one of the rap lines' very best, the deepest cut and extremely vulnerable. The love the group has for each other can't be quantified, especially after surviving that dark time together. Tear (crying), tear (torn/to rip apart), and fear being used interchangeably is awesome! Also, just a side note that while RM is the leader, he is not the eldest- age order is Jin, Suga, j-hope, then RM (called hyung line) and then Jimin, V, and Jungkook (maknae line). Thanks for this reaction, was epic 💜
I agree with him nailing it! From what I've seen so far from his reactions, he seems like an intelligent person who cares deeply about what's being said by artists and what's being portrayed by them. I think his genuine interest of the artists message and his personal insights add so much more value and depth to these popular reaction videos!
9:27 - Exactly, at this time the group had been through hell together, struggled, grown, and were seeing some results (Love Yourself: Tear was their third studio album, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and was the second highest selling album in SK in 2018.) Suga put it like this: "The lyrics for “Tear” were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together."
I"m not absolutely sure how they decide who's rap goes first or second etc... but they usually all individually write there own rap lyrics, which you will probably eventually be able to tell who it is rapping just by how the lyrics are, they all have their own unique type of writing, you know kinda like a finger print
This song is a song that Suga first started to create. He did the melody and than each of the rapline members wrote their verses, but they wrote them for themselves and the other members. But yes it has to do with the word tear, specifically, and its many meanings RM- tear as into cry suga- tear, as in to tear it apart, or rip jhope-fear as in the fear of a uncertain future without the group being together, and the fear of just not being together anymore, etc... Yes, this is a song that was written when they were considering disbanding. We learned through their book documentary that came out last year called "Beyond the Story" , as well as when the members have spoken about this themselves, that they were working so hard at this time with like no time off, and it seemed to just become too much you know. At the time I think one had mentioned having like no days off. This was all while finishing a big world tour, preparing for the end of the year shows and award ceremonies, not to mention they were really writing history in the western market and were supposed to attend the Billboard Awards, etc..., and I think they were uncertain and possibly fearful because of how high they had reached, and how quick it happened, all the pressure that comes with that, not to mention being like the first to ever do it. And I think they may have been even doing more shows for something else even after they had finished the previous world tour. They were dealing with burn out, some really badly, but it seems that they were all just too exhausted. There was like no stop in sight but they never really got a break to heal and recharge, etc... honestly I can't even imagine what that must have been like for all of them, and it makes me feel horrible to know that they had to endure that. Even though Suga mentioned understanding more about why they were being guided to keep pushing so hard at that time, from like a career standpoint. At least I think these are eome of the things I read and remember learning. Don't know of you really look at the comments on youtube for the patreon posts, so I will just post it in both places. Thanks for the great reaction to an absolutely incredible song!💜
7:01 - Your intuitive grasp of the emotions behind the words is dead on as usual. This was written at a dark and trying time for them when they were considering dissolving the band.
17:00 - Yes! This is at the point in their climb where there was no one they could turn to and ask for help. No one was doing what they were accomplishing. From being outsiders from everyone to now succeeding, in a highly hierarchical culture, to whom do you turn to admit your fears and face your demons? Creative burnout happens to everyone, and each member was fighting that battle on their own as they didn't want to let the others down. So it was being balanced on the razor's edge and somehow learning to dance upon it.
I don't know which explanation video you plan on watching for Spring Day but I want to suggest the one by Italian ARMY, it's a bit longer but packed with information and really helps you understand not just the MV but also what happened with Sewol. Just keep in mind that it's a difficult watch, especially for a parent. One thing about BTS is that they make you sit down and learn stuff. It's both massively appealing but also a barrier for some. Yes, you can just enjoy the music, but in order to REALLY understand what they're about you kinda have to do all kinds of homework😂
The live performance of this at Wembley Stadium is a must watch, the raw emotion delivered from them makes it more special. BTS went through really tough times in the early days, but they worked hard and never gave up in what they believed in, they got to a point where they discussed disbanding, but kept fighting for Army and Army loved them more for it. Even though I'm a multi kpop group stan, BTS will always hold a special place in my heart xxx❤
I love how you analyze lyrics. You’re probably the first reactor to catch on they are talking about themselves/the group potential/eventual breakup rather than a more generic “romantic couple” breakup. The song was written at a time when the members found themselves so overwhelmed by their meteoric international success and physically/mentally exhausted by the even more demanding schedule it entailed that they discussed disbanding. Thankfully they worked through it and decided to stay together and renew their contract as a group.
You are LITERALLY the only reactor in 4 years who picked up the fact that this was about the members (this was indeed 2017-2018 when they were thinking of disbanding). I'm hella impressed NGL fam 💜.
Teddy, despite everything, your deep dive into the songs always amazes me. However, this time, your analysis on Suga's part....gave me actual tears. It's really very hard for all 7 of them at that time (their MAMA 2018 speech broke my heart every time I revisit.). I thank every god that they went through it and became happier, bigger and more successful than ever, and that I got the chance to know them, appreciate them and yea become ARMY in 2023. I'm looking forward to more of your BTS reactions.
I think you would also like their song called "Hip Hop Phile(Lover)." It's with all the members and it explains why they love hip hop so I think you should definitely check that one out. 😊
definitely check this out live if anything in ur own time since i can only imagine u have a busy schedule, but u wont be disappointed bc wow the emotions are so raw and palpable it leaves u speechless
This song is a favorite among the Rap Line songs. As many have said, it was created at a time when the band was considering disbanding. Suga wrote it, and it has been said that the other members cried when they heard it. The first verse (RM's lines) to me are about the emotional effect of parting. The Tear that runs down from crying too much. How the emotional pain will effect you and last forever. How you feel betrayed because it was always stated that it would be forever, but at the same time they are now speaking about it ending. The dream of 'going the distance' going all the way to the end to forever, was all just a dream. Then Sugas verse. To me was the physical pain of the reality of this happening. The betrayal, the hurt, the heart break. How it will tear him up inside. He put everything he had into it. Thinking this was forever that they were going to make it no matter what, how much he trusted and believed in that, and here they are talking about the end. The break. People you knew, who you trusted are giving up. "This is the real you, this is the real me." The truth has come out. You all are giving up. We said it was forever. I thought we were all in this together. And the truth that maybe they aren't is destroying him on the inside. The shattering of the illusion. The shards of glass. Then you come to J-Hope's verse. Fear. The fear that this it going to happen again. Can I ever trust you again? Is this going to be a continual cycle that gets repeated over and over again? A "treminal" illness that no matter what we do. Is the end inevitable? Can I even stop it? The cycle will be repeated again. This discussion will be brought up again, there is going to be an end, and if it doesn't end now, am I now and forever going to live in perpetual fear of the end date. Now that the end has been talked about it has become a reality, and there is no taking it back. When they started there was no end in sight, no one was thinking about it, but now that it's been put out there, that is where it will always remain. That is my take on the song in the best way I can describe it in a single comment.
This was such a deep (and incredibly on point) review of the song, it's always a pleasure listening to you "dissecting" BTS song and slowly bringing out different interpretation of the lyrics and the music. 💜
Just found you as I was scrolling and I'm glad I found you. You were spot on with this song! Thank you for this reaction and making me a fan of your insightful reactions!
I had forgotten why I like your reactions, dear Teddy. What I love the most is the poetic way you infer the meaning of their songs! You nailed it again! They were talking about themselves. In 2018 the pressure was so strong that they thought about disbanding. So Suga made his verses and presented them to his brothers. They all cried, and, thank God, they decided to stay together because of Army. I love the way they use to transform their struggles in deep songs that serve as therapy, not just for them, but also for us. Thanks for your reaction!!
Your breakdown and thought processes are absolutely brilliant!!! Thank you so much for this reaction!! I'm sure by now you already know that this is Suga's work and each member wrote their own lines and RM is the leader but he's bang in the middle. He has 3 older members and 3 younger☺️😊
Don't know why this just came across my feed but am glad you did this song reaction. I knew you'd like it! Great reaction! If you haven't watched the live version you should. They're energy and emotion is top notch.
This was a song they did because they thought about disbanding. They resolved their issues and became one of the strongest, if not the strongest, K Pop groups.
For a really long time, ARMY had no idea that this was directed towards the group members, although there was always speculation as it was known since 2018 MAMA awards that they had considered disbanding earlier that year (and perhaps the year prior) and through the process of making the Love Yourself Tear album (of which this song is on). But Suga confirmed the context of the song a few years later and it truly SHOOK us. It was just a monumental punch to the gut, you know? This is one of the many reasons I adore them - they're not fake, they're real human beings going through real human emotions. Even though they're very private issues and they didn't have to, it was their choice to share with us their story.
I agree with the comments. You nailed it beautifully. Yes this song was made during a difficult time in their life and was going to be their goodbye song. When they won an award for this album, they all broke down on stage. It was a very emotional time for us armys and BTS.
In many ways you got it right...but in terms of timeline and struggles I would say this was already into when they were blowing up so it wasn't that they weren't doing well, but in many ways they were doing too well and struggling with burnout (also mind you it was 5 years in their nonstop career in 2018) and overwhelm. But they have always done well to channel their struggles into their art so if you want to hear what they "did" about it when they were actually still struggling and wondering if they were going to make it I would recommend checking out tracks like Tomorrow (2014 Skool Luv Affair), or the album that to them was literally a 'make it or break it' moment, The Most Beautiful Moment in LIfe Pt.1 (2015)...and the entire series actually (Pt. 1, Pt. 2 & Young Forever)
You need to see the live performance of this that they did at Wembly. I’ll try to drop the link. They rap this with so much pain and despair, and anger that comes across a bit in the studio version but is magnified by 100 in their live performance. It’s probably in my top 3 BTS live performances. ua-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/v-deo.htmlsi=7nUIL8TCD65PtGUj
Teddy as always on point. I was torn when I heard it for first time, with all the emotions, i didnt even translate the song at that tume. I just wanted to listen it on repeat. This is masterpice moving me with each line over and over again.
Love it like always 😍😂 your Reaction ist absolutely Authentic. And I can totally relate to it😅 I recommend you Ddaeng by Rm,Jhope and Suga because their individual raps in that song are just mind blowing
Greetings from the Netherlands. Thank you for your honest reaction. If you don’t like it you say it 👍. The live version of this song is amazing. You probably watched this on patrion. Hope to see more reactions on youtube.
when they presented it the the rest of the group they cried throughout the lyrics. There is a video of them winning an award and expressing they were thinking about breaking up, they wept while speaking. It was the stress of working, writing, traveling, and creating all the other things they do I think it is about 10 different productions, from animation to variety, to concerts, and they were spent. They all lived together in the same home, which changed from 1 bedroom to all having their own room in a mansion as they grew to success. They know each other so well, and they are brother. Then they had to deal with all the haters in Korea. In Korea, a fan only has one idol, and in some strange mindset of what sounds ridiculous to me to betray your K-pop idol Band is a big sin. The hate and fights between fans is a ridiculous thing. Here in the West, we can like anyone we want and still have a favorite. BTS is changing all this, always leading the way for other musicians in K-pop. They are making new pathways. They really bind and chain themselves up narrowly hating on ARMY and BTS because they are loved by the world, something that has never happened to any Kpop band until BTS opened the door to MORE!
Thank you for reacting to this track. You were able to grasp the meaning behind it and from what I was made to understand, it's more about their feelings when they thought of disbanding due to the struggles they experienced before they became globally popular.
When I first started listening to bts I wanted to start with their old music to see how much they have grown to the big artist they are now. their lyrics, concept and understanding of music made me want to listen to them more and more and I’m also glad you a rapper/artist understand their pov of what they went through and immediately know what their music is about
A couple songs I think you'll love from BTS: Louder than bombs, Fake Love, Run BTS (the song), Burning up/Fire, Ddaeng (Rapline song), Mic Drop Anything from Agust D or his solo BTS songs, especially The Last, First Love, Polar Night J-Hope's live performance of More and Arson Jungkook's My Time (Live performance too) And any live performance actually (especially Outro Tear, Idol, Mic Drop), their MAMA shows, award shows, concerts (especially recommend Cyphers, Ugh, Mic Drop and run bts live from Busan before they went to the military), dance practices (Idol, Boy with Luv, Airplane pt.2 ...)
I just came back from a month in Seoul. I was there 5 years ago and then they were all over the place. Now they seemed to have disappeared. In advertisements it was mainly New Jeans and Stray kids. When talking to Koreans the majority claimed not to know BTS or not to care for their music at all. (I did come across some armies). The main question I got was: can you explain why foreigners care about BTS so much? Korea has so much more to offer, why BTS? I would have expected a lot more pride in them and gratefulness for what BTS did. I recognize this in BTS’s songs, they are surrounded by ‘haters’.
Suga is actually older than RM. From oldest to youngest it's Jin (December 4, 1992), Suga (March 9, 1993), J-Hope (February 18, 1994), RM (September 12, 1994), Jimin (October 13, 1995), V (December 30, 1995), and Jungkook (September 1, 1997).
You’re the first person to say “family “ as most people think it’s about an intimate relationship. Obviously listening to this song it can be related any type of relationship. I’m sure many have already told you when this was written and why. So when you said “family “ I thought you nailed it so quickly. As always I enjoyed your reaction.
I’ve always loved this song, but I have a new appreciation for it now after you delved into the meaning and symbolism. I think that this really shows what a lot of people say about the rapline; RM is the mind, JHope is the heart, and Suga is the soul. RM talking about his thoughts of parting, how “the words I couldn’t let out,” then maybe the “I don’t want to listen to that” also meaning that he doesn’t want to think about it. JHope on his feelings of parting; that “I thought we dreamed the same dream, but now that dream truly became a dream, my heart breaks.” He has the “incurable disease of parting” and just wants the pain to leave. I feel like that’s a hearts’ disease, the pain of leaving, of continuing without. Heartbreak. While RM said that a tear unknowingly came to his eye, JHope said, “I should not have shed tears.” He’s talking a lot about his feelings, which are often associated with the heart. The heart is tied closely to the soul, but I feel like you can hear it in Suga’s rap, like his entire soul is being pushed into this. “Tears are a luxury,” “this is the real you, and this is the real me.” He talks about his heart, but he is showing the real him. He’s always been talked about being a tsundere, a hard exterior with a soft inside. Him basically saying in this song that his heart is glass; it’s filled with passion but also fragile, so if his friends destroy it, to destroy it completely so there is only numbness, no feeling. His music is his life; not just his heart, but his soul. He’s baring his soul when he shows his group “this is the real me.” I also think it’s interesting that when people talk about mind, body, and soul, it’s literally in that order. If this doesn’t make sense or I’m just imagining these things, please let me know that I can delete the post. I really may just be looking too much into it and being delusional.
wow, you actually got it, most reactors would automatically think of romantic relationship but BTS had always disguised their songs as superficial when if you actually took time to dissect their discography, they've always tied their songs to the actual things that happened in their life & their journey.
J-Hope's part is straight up FIRE! And i love the autotune in Suga's part. I remember very well when this album came out and i listened to it in complete darkness in my room, this song left me speechless
BAEPSAE is one of BTS most scathing social criticisms. DKDKTV BAEPSAE EXPLAINED is the only way a non korean will understand the references. All hiding behind a catchy tune and absolutely hilarious choreo. That only makes sense if you know the meanings. A funny pelvic thrust I'd a FO. To the older generation that blames the inability of the younger generation to try harder.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad u liked this one Teddy. I was hoping u would. =0] When i 1st heard this song it was a live version. I felt their pain and anger so much. Gosh. I cried when i learned what the song was about. Their first 2-3 albums are about Dreams & Hopes. So the dream in this song has layers. Suga is older than RM. JHope is also older than RM. RM went 1st maybe because he is the leader. Or it could be he took part in the lyrics later. Ur right though Suga did write this one for them. They all cried together hearing this song. This song talks about them breaking up. It is a heartbreak song. When Suga was rapping did u see he was acting like he kept getting punched in the live. The acting, dang. Dior BTS is everything. Suga is so swaggy. RM so cute and Hobi 0.0. Jimin bias, Suga wrecker and OT7. But after this song Army were dead!!! Such a powerful song. It is intense. It is passionate. It is truth spoken out loud and thank god never fulfilled. So much feels. Love it. The stage mix is fine too hope u check it out as well as their other stages of this song. Suga is the main producer in BTS. RM is the 2nd producer though is produces less for the group these days. BTS won an award in 2018 and Jin takes the cat out of the bag and talks about them disbanding. That it almost happened but thank god they all talked and that move was averted. I cried watching that speech, sigh. Hugs. -2019 Army NY USA💜 Suga said: "the lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together". Also RM is saying "Tear" as in crying and Suga as in ripping something apart. Imajin All The Purple said on 2/25/23 They actually hid a third meaning of tear in the song: Suga says T.E.A.R. which is a coping mechanism for loss: T - To accept the reality of the loss E - Experience the pain of the loss A - Adjust to the new environment without the lost person R - Reinvest in the new reality They are lyrical kings indeed! 💜 andreza said on 2/25/23 I REALLY recommend you guys to watch their speech at the 2018 MAMA Award Show when they won Artist Of The Year. They talked about their disbanding in their speech (Jin made it clear). It's very emotional and I think it's good for you guys understand Outro: Tear better. 💜💜💜 HERE'S THE LINK: ua-cam.com/video/vVs710bHkNA/v-deo.html @imajinallthepurple said on 8/29/23 Love Yourself: Tear is the middle album of the LY album series. The order goes: Her, Tear and Answer (plus the japanese album Face Yourself). 💜
This was written when they realized they were becoming Uber famous, they were scared not sure they wanted the level of fame that they saw coming , BTS had just performed their first American awards show the end of 2017 and the amount of Army went and were loud and proud kinda sook them. BTS didn’t know a group from Korea would blow up so high and they didn’t have anyone to talk to or peers that knew how to navigate the skyrocketing demand of BTS even their company BIGHIT was struggling to keep up and learn how to deal with the demand. Some of the members were unsure that this is what they wanted , they took time off to reflect and regroup to decide if they were going forward or disbanding. Army only learned of the meaning of this song after Jin’s Mama award speech 2018 where he said they had discussed disbanding that year. We were all shocked and in disbelief Army was in mourning at what could have been… 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I don’t think idol really defines them as a group. It was more of a song that show cased the Korean culture. They wore traditional Korean attire, but it was a bit too repetitive for my liking. Coming from a 5+ year ARMY. Spring day is a beautiful song. It’s about missing someone and hoping to see them again in the future. When the Seoul ferry incident happened, a lot of people became dependent on this song because of the message. It still remains a very popular song in Korea.. this past December it even surpassed Mariah Carreys “all I want for Christmas is you ” on iTunes. Because all members of BTS are in the army now. And all of their fans miss them dearly, wishing to see them all again in the future.
We cant help but enjoy the ferocity of them flow but pay attention to the lyrics as well, it'll give a whole new vibe and you won't be guessing and assuming what could the song mean or its message... BTS are known for their lyricism aside from their hardcore performances. You wont regret checking out the lyrics, trust me. Enjoy! 🫰
you are very perceptive in regards to the lyrics 😉 I think you would enjoy the live perfomance, that sentiment with which they sing it is very much present in the live perfomance.
I have never been into Rap. But after falling down the BTS rabbithole, that changed, and this song/rap is one of my absolute favorite from them. The lyric and flow. And seeing their passion while perforning this live gives me goosebumps. Special J-Hopes performance.
Oh yes another golden reaction by teddy for one of my fave BTS rap line songs ❤ i actually prefer watching u without army help cos u always have the best interpretations and predictions ! And then Army comments are just confirming yes u r right! Haha. Maybe the one that will be really difficult tho is spring day cos of how specific the back story is altgough the song can also be enjoyed just by its general sense of loss which is relatable for all.
Their climb to the top was gradual but steady and they really worked hard for it. Ironically this song was made at the point of their career where they realized that have made it. However, fame and success have taken a toll on their lives to the point that they nearly disbanded. When Suga shared this song with the members, they broke down and decided they are sticking together.
Which one should I do next? 👀

@ruthnunez6927 Outro: Tear" (also as "Tear") is a song by RM, Suga and J-Hope (also known as the rap-line) of BTS. It was released on May 18, 2018 They all wrote their own verses
All 3 rappers have credits for writing this...along with dockskim and one more person .

This song is a song that Suga first started to create. He did the melody and than each of the rapline members wrote their verses, but they wrote them for themselves and the other members.
But yes it has to do with the word tear, specifically, and its many meanings
RM- tear as into cry
suga- tear, as in to tear it apart, or rip
jhope-fear as in the fear of a uncertain future without the group being together, and the fear of just not being together anymore, etc...
Great reaction. I love this song. You have to see the live wembley performance. I love how this team has faced adversity head on and overcome so much.
This is my second most favorite of all BTS songs. So symbolic for me. I always tear up hearing this.
Learning with you.
I think you would also like their song called "Hip Hop Phile(Lover)." It's with all the members and it explains why they love hip hop so I think you should definitely check that one out. 😊
Hope you’ve found this one on Patreon by now!
definitely check this out live if anything in ur own time since i can only imagine u have a busy schedule, but u wont be disappointed bc wow the emotions are so raw and palpable it leaves u speechless
I did a reaction to it on Patreon because unfortunately UA-cam blocked it 😭
@@TeddyGreyOS about to be quickest 3 euro spent for me
This song is a favorite among the Rap Line songs.
The song Louder than bombs Suga has a bit that you would really like it's with all the boys all their voices in that song are amazing
Composition and production wise, I love the combo of sweeping and then frantic orchestral movements and rapping. It’s gorgeous!
i love their live performance on this song. You can see their real emotions flowing alla through
I'm so sorry you didn't watch the live performance of this because it absolutely bangs.
He did them on Patreon!
@@Gen7486 thanks. I was unaware of that, I appreciate it.
The live version at Wembley is amazing. All 3 dressed in DIOR. Fire.
Are you sure you weren't an army in your previous life?😭 you were spot on! Love this reaction👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜💜
Hi dear. 69yo ARMY here. Teddy Grey's reacting to BTS again! Teddy Grey's reacting to BTS again! Okay....I'm calm now, but....Teddy Grey's reacting to BTS again!
I knew you'd love this ❤🎉
Your breakdown and thought processes are absolutely brilliant!!!
Absolutely love the range of different music you vibe to! Love BTS but love to watch all your other videos too!
Thanks Teddy 🙏
That Suga voice, he does it in interlude shadow, that track is so effing brilliant. 💜
I’ll be doing that one very soon! 🍿👀
@@TeddyGreyOShave you watched Tear live?
The live performance is absolutely incredible
My dude, you nailed it and I love your reaction to one of the rap line's songs that makes me cry even without understanding the lyrics at first
You need to see the live performance of this that they did at Wembly.
I cry every time I watch it. It hits so hard, the raw emotions and vocals are just so beautiful.
Nailed it sir. They almost broke up at this point and this was written then about that. SO, SO emotional and you could HEAR it!
Teddy as always on point. I was torn when I heard it for first time, with all the emotions, i didnt even translate the song at that tume. I just wanted to listen it on repeat. This is masterpice moving me with each line over and over again.
The live concert video from Wembley of this is wonderful and bittersweet.
So insightful, Teddy! This is one of my very favorites. Enjoyed your reaction, as usual. 💜
Love your interpretation. You’re pretty much on the spot. Thank you for reacting to BTS 💜
I’m sure someone already mentioned to watch their live performance.. it was fire!!
You need to react to their live performance of Tear. Every emotions you have will come out......i garantee you that.
When you were talking about sand and the hourglass it reminded me of the MV for Film Out
Двэкки-Changbin🤘🖤
The live performance at Wembley is insane would love to see your reaction to that 💜
when they presented it the the rest of the group they cried throughout the lyrics.
Now the live performance please
Thank you for reacting to this track. You were able to grasp the meaning behind it and from what I was made to understand, it's more about their feelings when they thought of disbanding due to the struggles they experienced before they became globally popular.
When I first started listening to bts I wanted to start with their old music to see how much they have grown to the big artist they are now. their lyrics, concept and understanding of music made me want to listen to them more and more and I’m also glad you a rapper/artist understand their pov of what they went through and immediately know what their music is about
La versión en vivo es una locura espero la veas, mucha energía y emoción en ella. 💜💜💜💜
A couple songs I think you'll love from BTS:
Louder than bombs,
Fake Love,
Run BTS (the song),
Burning up/Fire,
Ddaeng (Rapline song),
Mic Drop
Anything from Agust D or his solo BTS songs, especially The Last, First Love, Polar Night
J-Hope's live performance of More and Arson
Jungkook's My Time (Live performance too)
And any live performance actually (especially Outro Tear, Idol, Mic Drop), their MAMA shows, award shows, concerts (especially recommend Cyphers, Ugh, Mic Drop and run bts live from Busan before they went to the military), dance practices (Idol, Boy with Luv, Airplane pt.2 ...)
Funny cause I was there in March and I have friends living there, but I had a completely different experience
Suga is actually older than RM. From oldest to youngest it's Jin (December 4, 1992), Suga (March 9, 1993), J-Hope (February 18, 1994), RM (September 12, 1994), Jimin (October 13, 1995), V (December 30, 1995), and Jungkook (September 1, 1997).
Perfect, just perfect reaction! You nailed it! 💜
He’s baring his soul when he shows his group “this is the real me.”
I also think it’s interesting that when people talk about mind, body, and soul, it’s literally in that order.
You are very astute with your analytical skills!
You got it! At that time they were contemplating breaking up as a group.
You need to listen to suga dday album or his other albums and suga and rm strange lyric video too you will like it
Please watch also the live performance 💜
One of my favorite songs thank you teddy❤
J-Hope's part is straight up FIRE! And i love the autotune in Suga's part. I remember very well when this album came out and i listened to it in complete darkness in my room, this song left me speechless
BAEPSAE is one of BTS most scathing social criticisms. DKDKTV BAEPSAE EXPLAINED is the only way a non korean will understand the references. All hiding behind a catchy tune and absolutely hilarious choreo. That only makes sense if you know the meanings. A funny pelvic thrust I'd a FO. To the older generation that blames the inability of the younger generation to try harder.
Thank you for reacting to this. I always enjoy your breakdown of the lyrics
Hugs. -2019 Army NY USA💜
Suga said: "the lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together".
Also RM is saying "Tear" as in crying and Suga as in ripping something apart.
Imajin All The Purple said on 2/25/23
They actually hid a third meaning of tear in the song: Suga says T.E.A.R. which is a coping mechanism for loss:
T - To accept the reality of the loss
E - Experience the pain of the loss
A - Adjust to the new environment without the lost person
R - Reinvest in the new reality
They are lyrical kings indeed! 💜

I REALLY recommend you guys to watch their speech at the 2018 MAMA Award Show when they won Artist Of The Year. They talked about their disbanding in their speech (Jin made it clear). It's very emotional and I think it's good for you guys understand Outro: Tear better. 💜💜💜

This live is another level
Every time i listen tear and let go i get teary eye😢 tnx men for tge reaction 💜💜💜
you gotta see this live at Wembly it's incredible
My emoji would be 𐤀 because of what Suga said on Suchwita and at the BTS group dinner where they revealed the text Rap line sent to two members.
You absolutely decipher suga rap lyrics. Good job that was so deep man❤❤❤
We cant help but enjoy the ferocity of them flow but pay attention to the lyrics as well, it'll give a whole new vibe and you won't be guessing and assuming what could the song mean or its message... BTS are known for their lyricism aside from their hardcore performances. You wont regret checking out the lyrics, trust me. Enjoy! 🫰
I think you need to watch a live version of this to really get even more of the passion and feelings!
I ACTUALLY need you to watch the live version immediately because omfg. J-hope's part....so, SO intense.
i realize you have. but im poor so i can't see it. rip.
There is a beautiful LIVE on this song, you can feel the raw emotions on it, it was an intense time for them 💜
you are very perceptive in regards to the lyrics 😉 I think you would enjoy the live perfomance, that sentiment with which they sing it is very much present in the live perfomance.
If you watch the live performance of it, you’ll see the pain on their faces. Well done!
Watching you get it on absolute point at 17 minutes made me want to cry
check out the live version of this
will u do the live version reaction? its soo good live
Teddy you seem like a really cool human
27 minutos pra uma música?? Cara dava pra vc vê também a performance .
Man you have to react to live performance of Tears , It is a masterpiece fr
Teddy please u should listen to 1- blue and gray 2- mic drop
Me encantan tus análisis!!!
