Mine does the same thing and it reads discs fine. It’s entirely a vibration issue when the console is set vertically. Set horizontally it doesn’t make those kinds of noises. I ended up opening my system and placing rubber pads along the back of the disc drive that would also press against the back cover of the console, producing pressure between the two. It’s not a perfect fix and there are still some sounds, but playback and installation of discs is a bit quieter. I will probably attempt a better solution down the line.
The xbox one s and one x also share the same dvd drive as the series x and yes the'yre married to the xbox which all you need to do is desolder 2 wires from the motor of the dvd drive and put your board from the dvd drive into another dvd drive then it will work as long as youre using the board that came from the xbox that you're fixing, hope this helps you out a little :)
Dude mine recently has been making this random loud spin up winding sound it happens when I turn on the Xbox and only last for 2 to 3 secs don’t understand what has changed I never use disc games only digital any thoughts?

Mines trys reading the game n just stops won t download nothing

No need to fix it! Just a simple fix is to put something under the console or put it on its side when downloading things and it should stop the noise

Nobody uses discs. You'll be fine. Throw it back on Ebay!
