- A complete Descent: Freespace 2 Soundtrack, with voice-over mashups from the audio files of the main FS2 campaign. Warning: it is filled with major spoilers. Most battle and briefing tracks, as well the voice-overs, are correlated with the campaign missions.
Images are in-game screenshots either taken by me or by the incredible HLP community. They are also loosely correlated with the campaign story as you go along the soundtrack. You will find most shots in HLP forum threads like this one:

The screenshots under the music "Credits" showcase the creativity of the HLP community, with spinoff campaigns, new ships, TCs, new gameplay and stories. I highly recommend everyone to take a look at them.
Descent: Freespace 2 is a game developed by Volition and distributed by Interplay, released in 1999. You can buy the game in Good Old Games if you are interested. The soundtrack was created by Dan Wentz.

Adding the dialog snippets in as ad-libs works so well. It's been two decades since I touched FS2, but hearing this I can still recall all the set-pieces and moments perfectly.
Man... Takes me back to one of the highlights of my childhood. Thank you so much.

Excellent work! Nice touch of the voiceover's from the campaign itself. Just noticed the bonus of soundtrack code/name(s) on far lower right. One of the best game's i've ever played growing up! :)
I didn't want to delete this video, but I have a much better and complete one done a year ago, it's called the exact same thing but it has a (3) afterwards.

Thanks! I'm working on a better version with many more FS2 main campaign pictures so it gets less boring to watch :)
You can open the VP files with a little program the HLP community made a good while ago, called VP viewer. Google it up.
You'll have to slightly mod your Freespace game. For directions, go to the HLP forum, use the search box for "nicer nebulae", and you'll find a thread by devi1sdoz3n who got these things started. AFAIK, it is being worked by the SCP coders for the next mediavps version, but that can take a (good) while.
