- As i've done this job in real life I thought it would be a good idea to show you how to do it realistically, as it is not an easy job to do.
I used to love watching the umbilical videos you did whilst at Henry's. I remember the JD 6190r on the pump but that was a long time ago now

We have a different way of going about it in the Netherlands. For Contractors with umbilical systems there's 2 guys. One on the pump (and container if the slurry comes with lorry's) and one guy in the field. The guy in the field can control the rpm's of the pump tractor. So that he can close the applicater and turn a regular headland without the pipe bursting of the sudden high pressure. We usually lay the pipe straight down the middle of the field and then go into the end corner. We then start in the middle of the field next to the pipe. And work our way out to the edge of the field. Then we do the headlands on that side of the pipe. After that we drive around the pipe cause we preferably don't want to cross it because that means a twist. This way you can apply the slurry very precise and apply on 100% of the field.
Always wondered when I see umbilical guys spreading around here they do it on the diagonal..Now I know!👍
Hello George cracking video I understand what u mean about u can’t unwind with the applicator on I don’t understand why u can’t do it but it is a good edition to the game look forward to the next video keep up the good work 👍👍

@@saundersfarms347 no I can’t and it can be annoying cause it’s takes longer taking it off and then unreeling I thinks it’s something they could look at as an update 👍👍
I always seem to run into the problem of the hose clipping under the ground then thinking it’s run out of pipe and pops off. I’ll try going slower next time and see if that helps. Nice video!

Great video. I don't think you have a mod conflict causing you not to be able to unreel with the spreader on the rear. I think the issue is you need the reel selected not the spreader. I had the same problems you had and watching your vid made me try that

Works grand on Xbox. Don't know why you can't unreal with applicator left on, I can 👍
Could be a mod conflict, since I'm on pc. As soon as the applicator is on I can't do anything with the reeler.
Can always rely on giants to mess it all up lol
