My plane is a Sesna 340A. Yes I’m old school but it’s a cruiser that I can get in and go back home on and pay less in the long run than a1400.00 ticket. They are a twin engine with around 400hp and maintaining this beast is higher than a single engine but well worth it.
So it seems like a lot of people ignored the fact that the last aircraft is going to be used as a military trainer. But even if you do ignore that all of these aircraft have bubble canopy’s, highly maneuverable, and two seats with one behind the other. Not to mention some of these aircraft have flight controls that resemble an f16 layout with throttle on the left and flight stick on the right. There’s also the other ones that have a flight stick in between your legs like an f15. It shouldn’t be that incredibly hard for any one to tell that these resemble fighter jets.
hahaha yeah does are both rare old and very unlikely to work fully they are rare which also means that they are expensive like at least half a million I would guess and there inst like a market for military jets so good luck with that
@@joule9255 they are far from rare, mig 21 is one of the most produced modern fighter jets. It might be tricky to acquire but if you know ppl shouldn't be much of a problem. No. Tarragon airplane is being sold as "experimental", but development/design is related with some very minor parts. This is comlpete plane anyway with simply continuous improvement for submodels.
Someone is definitely going to call you on saying fighter JET instead of just fighter/military aircraft. I enjoy your content though, not many people going really in depth with lists like this on the regular for LSA's on UA-cam. Keep it up!
I love your videos, but you have one habit that unfortunately sets off my OCD. You keep saying "knots per hour". Knots are nautical miles per hour. It's already 'per hour'. So in my head you keep saying "nautical miles per hour per hour". Just say knots, that's how the word is used.
Chatsu8o So can't be knots per year then? A knot is a measure of distance only. You can record the knot against what ever time scale you choose. Time scales are not implied just commonly inferred.
Not to be blut but... No. Knots are specifically defined to be 1 nautical mile PER HOUR. See here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knot_(unit) If you change that, you're changing the very definition of what a knot is. Edit: and it most definitely IS NOT a measure of distance. The "nautical mile" is the measure of distance within a knot. But the knot ties the distance and the time together to form a unit of speed.
Yeh, quite right. I confused nautical mile with knot for a moment. Though never let it be said I don't own up to my mistakes even such that they are a rarity through my hand to behold. :)
Before doing aerobatics in an aircraft, make sure the engine can do negative g’s. Most engines are not rated for negative g’s and the engine will quit or cause damage when inverted. The RV-8 is only rated when you get the correct engine with inverted systems for fuel and oil. The turbo prop also may or may not be rated for negative g’s also.
Cacon 123 what about the beechcraft t6 or the pilatus pc9? They are military trainers and light attack aircraft and i think these ultralights look quite similar to them
Ryan M. You need to pay attention more. Military is going to prop planes as trainers. He’s much more knowledgeable than given credit for. One military trainer is the A-29 Super Tucano. Resembles the Diamond.
Alaskan Shawn you can by f5, f4 phantom along with want other fighter-bombers. you can buy the tornado the Harrier jump jet. there's one f18 and one f16 that made it to market.the f16 might have crASHED so yes. you can actually buy military aircraft you might not actually think is available. not to mention the prop and turbo prob which include almost all of them. but go ahead and says this video has relevance to the title and story
I suggest you upgrade your intellect Ed Crew. There has been widespread use of the term "knots per hour" going back over four hundred years by some very eminent voyagers. Admiral George Anson used the term in his book Anson's Voyage Round the World (1748), Captain James Cook used the expression in his book Voyages, (1790), Charles Darwin, used the term in his book The Voyage of the Beagle, (1839), and these are the top echelon of nautical people of their times.
@@cucumberman1234567 I have to say that is a very good comment :) Rarely have I seen two people that were both so right :) As a conclusion I want to add that obviously the unit "knot" means "nautical mile per hour" which is a bit unprecise. But at the same time you have to admit, that "knot" in its original utilization wasn't a distance either. I mean a knot was just a thingy in a line you threw into the water. So even back then they called it knot but instead should have called it "distance between two knots" which obviously seemed a bit too complicated I guess. But today a "knot" in relation to the SI system is well defined and the usage here was wrong.
64wing yes, I believe he has a private ticket. I’m sure he’s using the term to those who don’t understand what “Knots” are as he typically gives MPH as an example which is rarely used in aviation.

My plane is a Sesna 340A. Yes I’m old school but it’s a cruiser that I can get in and go back home on and pay less in the long run than a1400.00 ticket. They are a twin engine with around 400hp and maintaining this beast is higher than a single engine but well worth it.
Military? I don't think so...these are experimental planes, exept for the speed, nothing new...but they are beautiful , of course!
They look like glorified radio controlled toys. Not a patch on flying sub 200ft in a valley approaching supersonic!
The only thing remotely military about it is the fuselage looks a lot like a Tucano. with the swept canopy
Alright, i will buy a retired 747.
I like the Diamond......gonna get me one those puppies!...thanks for the tip!
Great video! I love the Blackshape Prime and the Diamond Dart!
Also that diamond dart looks like a super tucano a Close Air Support aircraft
Just buy an exUSSR fighter jet, like MiG 21
Better than that, buy a Let 39.
Aka "The Flying Coffin"
@Солнцевская Братва you're right. I'm a doofus
hahaha yeah does are both rare old and very unlikely to work fully they are rare which also means that they are expensive like at least half a million I would guess and there inst like a market for military jets so good luck with that
@@joule9255 they are far from rare, mig 21 is one of the most produced modern fighter jets. It might be tricky to acquire but if you know ppl shouldn't be much of a problem. Probably would cost upwards of 1 mil plus the maintenance, repairs and fuel would make that one million seem like a very cheap price. But its the real deal not some commercial toy.
Keep it up!
that was my very first thought as well. and if i had not read this, it would likely have been me O.o
Lorcan Kelleher ...this was mostly useless. ....wait...then jumps to a plane in development and really quoting prices? ...pretender.
You need to get an education. This report has too many false claims and statements to list. Complete BS, and like a fool, you eat it up!
yak 52, aerobatic and that great radial sound.
See here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knot_(unit)
If you change that, you're changing the very definition of what a knot is.
That Diamond plane at the end is a ringer for an Embraer Super Tucano or a Pilatus PC-21
I’d rather have a jet provost for 45-59k bargain ! !
Before doing aerobatics in an aircraft, make sure the engine can do negative g’s. Most engines are not rated for negative g’s and the engine will quit or cause damage when inverted. The RV-8 is only rated when you get the correct engine with inverted systems for fuel and oil. The turbo prop also may or may not be rated for negative g’s also.
funny you sad jets muliple times but you didnt show a single jet in the entire video all planes here are prop powered no jets mate
What about the turbo prop?
@@britishbalaclava still no Jet powered
theclockmaker turbo props use turbine jet engines which makes them jet powered.
@@nono9370 no
I think the last one could definitely be used as a military trainer
NONE OF THESE ARE 'MILITARY' STYLE
I think he means 1940 dog fighting aeroplane style xD
Cacon 123 "fighter jet" but no "jet" engine 🤔
I think they do. They look like primary trainer aircraft like the T-6 Texan, T-27, and T-35.
These all resemble the Brazilian Tucano which is a military pilot trainer ,,, hence military style ...
Cacon 123 what about the beechcraft t6 or the pilatus pc9? They are military trainers and light attack aircraft and i think these ultralights look quite similar to them
Knots is already an indication of speed as in nautical miles per hour equals knots. Just thought I’d mention it.
#1 "It does look like a fighter jet" Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm what about no ?
Some of these look like the trainers used by the military to simulate early ww2 light fighters. But mostly look like modern aerobatic planes.
Checkout the Pilatus PC-21 Turboprop 425mph Jet-Like Swiss Trainer. The lines of this Shark are a Spot-On Match!
Yeah, training planes, look cool and must be cool to handle
_ VesBraun The problem with that is that those aren't fighter jets. They do not utilize jet engines.
What about the A-10, not usual jet engines but still, I think, a fighter jet.
F1 and Harmon Rockets! RV lines with clipped wings and I/O 540’s! Vertical performance!
Need to brush up on your military aviation knowledge
Ryan M. You need to pay attention more. Military is going to prop planes as trainers. He’s much more knowledgeable than given credit for. One military trainer is the A-29 Super Tucano. Resembles the Diamond.
Alaskan Shawn you can by f5, f4 phantom along with want other fighter-bombers. you can buy the tornado the Harrier jump jet. there's one f18 and one f16 that made it to market.the f16 might have crASHED so yes. you can actually buy military aircraft you might not actually think is available. not to mention the prop and turbo prob which include almost all of them. but go ahead and says this video has relevance to the title and story
militaries around the world though are starting to go to prop trainers
@@shawnmccrary5526 A-29 isn't a trainer. T-6, T-34, Grob, sure, but not an A-29. Military has ALWAYS used prop trainers for UPT and IFT.
It would be cool for someone to make a tail dragger version
Knots per hour? Go look up the definition of "knot." And "military style"? C'mon now...
it's all about acceleration my dude
Your comments reflect on you, not on me. Go look up "knots per hour."
I suggest you upgrade your intellect Ed Crew. There has been widespread use of the term "knots per hour" going back over four hundred years by some very eminent voyagers. Admiral George Anson used the term in his book Anson's Voyage Round the World (1748), Captain James Cook used the expression in his book Voyages, (1790), Charles Darwin, used the term in his book The Voyage of the Beagle, (1839), and these are the top echelon of nautical people of their times.
the term was "knots an hour"
@@cucumberman1234567 I have to say that is a very good comment :) Rarely have I seen two people that were both so right :)
As a conclusion I want to add that obviously the unit "knot" means "nautical mile per hour" which is a bit unprecise.
In conclusion: concerning advanced ultralight/lsa aircrafts... Europe rules...
"Military style"? Hmm... someone needs to work on their basic aviation knowledge.
Mike; How about getting back to more videos like this ?
"Knots per hour," huh?...and you have a private ticket? 🧐
Probably not.
64wing yes, I believe he has a private ticket. I’m sure he’s using the term to those who don’t understand what “Knots” are as he typically gives MPH as an example which is rarely used in aviation.
if given the option of a parachute, when u decide to use both u will only have the option of landing in one of them but not both?
You should visit Kennedy Space Center & take a ride in a F104 star fighter.
Ah the flying coffin - lovely job!
The F104 is one of the sexiest fighter jets imo.
No, the USAF C-119 was the Flying Coffin (actually Boxcar). Worked on one with the P&W 4360 engines - that's 3,500hp each. Plus, made one Free Fall jump from one over Hondo, Texas. We flew out of Kelly AFB, Tx. without the clam shell door on. Was a fun jump.

I love the RV8
i could buy a phenom 100 for the last one, and it would go twice the speed, have more range, be more powerful, more space, more comfort AND it’s a twin engine jet...
You can easily spend a lot more money each year on operating costs, though.
Thanks for information
