Went on a two week 10 000 km trip on my vstrom 250 SX It easily maintained speed limits and we'll over when required I gave this bike a very big handful for 10000 km from Adelaide to Cairns and back As well as in between trips and couldn't break it The chain was replaced standard with high quality one Standard chain is no good This bike is much better than people realise the motor is very good
I wanna get one for my daily commute. (100km in and out mix highway and city roads) only highway part is make me think. 110km speed limit on highway and have to cruise 20km in and out. It can handle or not. :/
Congratulations on the VStrom 250! Sorry to hear about the stuff around. Personally I think the 'Champion Yellow' is great. Looking forward to more content on this one and the CB125F. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers from Adelaide, a fellow CB125F owner
thanks. i must admit i was lured just by price alone...lol it was far too late to really go for a run today and i was lucky to get this clip together in such a short time frame. at least if any-one wants to view a ride clip on it good chance they will know what i'm saying...or maybe not...lol now the cb125f i think is a very good bike for a very good price. i'm pretty impressed with it. good value and runs well or i'd moved it on. the weather is bad in this area and i have not been on any bikes lately apart from todays quick pickup i plan to do a good run tomorrow on sealed and dirt and see if i lost out just on colour and picked up value. funny how i wanted the orange colour too. considering the fact that i've done full bare metal re-spray on at least 6 cars and painted those yellow....lol all the best!
its actually starting to grow on me...lol you know its like buying a new car in a way. you order what you want and get some-thing different. but in the end i think its the ride review most want to hear-not my colour complaint....lol all the best!
the very first suzuki i bought was in 73 and a blue 750 gt . cost me $1450 rideaway and on terms too. no cash buying then...lol wasn't a bad bike plus looked cool with the radiator up front. ran pretty good and i actually did a few good trips on it.
Congratulation for your new bike!!! The colour is not bad at all, it's a classic V-Strom yellow, I've just received mine last week too, and guess what colour? yes orange!!! No box, no decal rims in the wheels and no crush bar yet, no lower seat!!! We are in the same boat M8, enjoy your baby V-Strom and ride safe!
all good there i am use to it now. only reason i was buying the orange version -i have a yellow car and yellow honda grom so i thought change of colour would be nice to have all the best!
I ordered a yellow one also. Not delivered to Toowoomba yet. Maybe later this week. I I think most businesses are broken after the global lockdowns. Getting good service or what you ordered is a thing of the past. I’m looking forward to getting mine. Good value.
my thoughts -any-one who looks or buys one of these bikes and complains -doesn't really know bikes or good value. theres nothing that competes with it for the price its just a good allround bargain buy. im gonna try my add on wind deflector today and see how that goes on a run but in reality i ride totally naked bikes so who know i may run it without the screen. all the best with your new purchase. ive bought heaps of new bikes lately-this unit is a real nice treat or so i think...lol
A adventure bike for $6,500 wow, they will certainly sell like crazy on price alone. Looking forward to your review on how it performs on and off the road …
too late today to do anything but tomorrow i plan to go out and give it a run and check it out more thoroughly. i've got a pretty good idea now but tomorrow will be more hard core....lol charging the cameras as today struggled with gopro battery power. didn't like the cold weather or so it appeared. all the best!
This bike is selling for $ 4800 in RSA. Is Australia being hand fisted on all products? Electronics and Vehicles just seem more expensive for no reason.
@@johanbouwer5737 $4800 US dollars? If you look at the conversion rate we pay the same. Electronics are cheaper than many other countries as we don't pay import taxes. We get shafted on food and electricity here big time, but vehicles and electronics are fine (but expensive vehicles are subject to luxury tax, which this Suzuki certainly is not)
I think that yellow in the Vstrom trim looks fantastic, classic Suzuki. I also think this is going to be a home run for Suzuki if it ever makes it to USA. 300L Rally and Royal Enfields are too saggy to be ridden fast. This bike with Shinko 805's or TKC 80's would be a blast on dirt roads.
bike does run well as ive put up 3 or 4 clips on it. didnt go too good in the clay type mud and i dropped it...lol on open road runs very easy at 60 mph/100 kph and pulls hills good too
The real bonus is that Hazard yellow paint - rescue services could spot it 5km in the air 😁 Joking aside, its a pretty sharp looking ride! I look forward to the upcoming vids!
yeah and where i plan to take it that colour may just come in handy...lol i am going to try it out later today. -3 overnight and big frost on the ground and i'm staying under cover till its safer. out side..lol
That bike looks AWESOME 👌. That actually is a cool looking yellow. Doesn't look like that high viz traffic vest type at all. No doubt someone else would have pounced on that bike had you not taken it. You also had a Yamaha XT250 as well to compare it to 😉. Looking forward to your review.
thanks for the reminder and i stand corrected. totally forgot about it and the ktm 390 adv too...lol must be too many rides to gather up..lol all the best!
since this clip ive now purchased same bike in black. fitted crash bars/sump guard and rear carrier. off road tyres on next week rides coming soon and all info in my history side
ive had issues with enfield just as much and i still like those bikes...lol at least go and take a look at the suzuki as its a pretty good bike overall. i may have not had good dealing to start with but the bike itself is still pretty good-runs well-very little vibe-cruise easily at 100 kph and very well priced too. so im positive on the bike not so much on the pre-order experience. all the best!
A less than perfect experience in an area that should be perfect and streamlined from a reputable global organization whilst exchanging 1000's of worked for pounds....... it might just be 1 person to Suzuki, but that 1 person isn't me, i know the bikes are top notch, but whats the point in serving the best meal in world on a dirty plate, unless people refuse to put up with substandard service, it will continue to happen@@frankperham5629
yeah i forgot i had the 390 adv...lol had one of those too after i sold the 390 duke. trouble for me too many rides. good bike too. got the chance to try out the abs corning mode on the 390 adv and it worked very well
Hi, think it looks really nice in this colour. Yellow also a very safe colour on the road. Your lucky to get these 250's,in the UK the range goes from 125 straight to 650 with nothing inbetween! All the Japanese manufacturers have some great bike's 125-500 that we don't get over here and I can't see why as they all seem to be latest euro 6 standards. The honda gb350 is just one example that should be here. Royal Enfield are ahead of the game with their 350-410 range and must of taken thousands of sales of the big jap four manufacturers! Time they caught up! Hope you get to like the yellow or I'll find myself watching a warro paints his vstrom video 😅
cold weather is here now so that rules out painting. i think sunday is -3c anyway when i get the hunter 350 in a couple of weeks time i will certainly confirm the colour prior to buying it...lol plus plenty of them about i think so colour should not be an issue there or i hope not....lol
yeah i was mainly concerned that if i knocked it back and said get me my order which they cant find and thats my advanced $1000 deposit i may be waiting for orange next shipment. told pre-orders go out first. not unusual thats what happened too with honda when i ordered the 300l either way i am team yellow now and colour aside which still looks alright- who knows i may not have likewd the orange...lol all the best!
Hi Warro, I`ve had mine for about a week and a half now.... The dealer stuffed me around a bit by telling me to come and pick it up as it is ready to go. And when I get there, I find that it isn`t even built and still in the crate!!!! Apart from that, I`m really happy with the bike. At $6490 with a box and carrier thrown in, its a really good deal. The Yellow (which is the one I got), could prove to be the better selling colour, if you decide to move it on.
i'm sort over the colour think now and overall its a pretty good bike for the price. i was told topbox and carrier is not due now till june and they'll contact me when it arrives. im not too keen on top boxes but i suppose its for free so that side is ok with me. been trying out a cheap ebay wind delfector and it works pretty good for not much money. plan to put up a clip probably friday on that side. all the best!
@@ridewithwarro I know what you mean by top boxes, as I`m not too keen on them either. But as you know its something for nothing, and it could come in handy, so why not... I`ll look forward to seeing the clip on the wind deflector.
Little dirty Suzuki looks great Warro✅ Shame SA didn’t get back to you about stuffing you around with your preferred colour scheme 🤦♂️ That’s not good PR. Am thinking about the new 8S, but not if they’re not interested in helping out! Looking forward to your first ride review 🤙 Cast rims should be robust enough down some of your goat tracks 😉
yeah it only cost $6500 so it will be interesting what one gets for that. bit late on the pickup but something clip wise is still far better than nothing....lol the optional red transfers on the wheels look good against the yellow so thats a plus...lol
thanks...i am keen to get on it later today to try it out. -3C overnight and a bad frost about so with new bike and tyres i best go out when conditions are much better
This was one of the bikes I was considering before I settled on my hunter 350. Unfortunately I don't think this is limited to Suzuki, but many sales teams. When I ordered my hunter 350 from my dealer they told me it was already ordered stock and should arrive in a week. I then basically got this message every week for 5 weeks. When the bike did finally arrive, the staff told me... they didn't have any fuel in the dealership! I would have to go down the road and get some to take my own bike! I have never heard of having to buy your own fuel for a new vehicle. After that I went to check the bike over and asked where the owners manual was, and was told that oh customers don't normally want those so they are still in a box over at the workshop. If you want the owners manual, you will have to ride a few blocks to the workshop and collect yourself! Haven't heard from the dealer since taking delivery, I was hoping that they'd have a community of customers for information and rides, they seem to not want anything more to do with me. It really is a make the sale then don't want to know you process. Needless to say I didn't end up buying any of my accessories through the dealer as I had planned, paid a nice fellow in india 1/3rd of Australia dealer prices the price for genuine accessories shipped, and I don't feel bad about it.
yeah well best idea dont take any notice of dealers on enfields...lol you probably know i bought 20 of them in total -all new and i was actually telling the dealers what was wrong with them on the 500's some think they know 500's...i actually know...lol my joke to a dealer once when i bought a new 500-i think this is the only new bike you can buy and go home and start fixing it...lol he didn't think it was that funny but he knew i was right! tell me your experience with the hunter 350 - im thinking of buying one in two weeks. there only $7700 which is nothing and i have the classic 350 and i believe the hunter has a better mid range tune and sharper handling and a bit lighter. enfield todays are not like they were when i first bought one 10 years back. those bikes were total junk. i would ride one now if you gave it to me. the 350's are the go. good looks and reliable but dealer wise ...give them nothing as they are just sharks. interested in hearing on your hunter experience. either way i will buy just for curiosity as thats my dna ..lol but i think something is terribly wrong if your not keen on it or all other test riders are taking it up too much. back to the petrol side. i bought 4 new cb500x's from the same dealer and no petrol either just $10 back and full retail price...lol i find its the little things which annoy me. i can drop a few $1000 on a bike and laugh about it and get overcharged for a meat pie and it annoys me for days.
@@ridewithwarro yeah at least you got $10 back haha I'm really enjoying the hunter 350. I wasn't able to demo one before I bought but I did demo; Classic 350 interceptor 650 cbx500 Svartpilon 401 ninja 400 CBR650R yamaha mt07 triumph 660 but after taking delivery of the bike, I think it was best of the bunch for me. So far since getting the bike I have been doing the run-in all according to manual, so been keeping it under 70km/h for the first 500km and such, because I bought this bike as hopefully a lifetime bike. I don't have the same history of bikes as yourself, but Ive owned 4 bikes (Suzuki 185, Yamaha xt250, wr250r, hyosung gt250r) in my 12 years of having a license. I don't have any interest in big capacity bikes or going too fast, and the Hunter 350 seems perfect. Compared to the classic 350 the different frame and shorter wheelbase, with a sharper front rake and the 17" alloy wheels and tubeless tyres seem to really give it the edge over the others I demo'd. Its really really pleasant at low and high speeds to maneuver and Ive always been confident going into turns and getting around. I don't mean to self promote, but Ive been doing a little video series on my channel installing all the accessories on my bike to get it into my final desired form. I definitely started improving the bike as soon as I got it, but that's a big plus because i love tinkering. The accessories I've gotten from India and Greece are excellent. I do think you would enjoy the bike, there's lots to do with it and its very capable.
@@MrCombfoot yeah i think those hunters are interesting. i like the 350 classic better but ive had heaps so like the style of them. no real demo bikes in this area or very few. dealers only get one bike or so of each and they sit not for long....lol what colour hunter did you get. im sort of steering towards that dark metallic grey-do you see that unit.
crap...forgot about it...lol finding neutral told me about my yamaha xt250 and i forgot about the ktm 390 adv. so 3 strikes and i'm out...lol hopefully i remember how to start it up...lol all the best!
That’s a good looking lemon there Warro! I’m sure you will have lots of fun on it. Looking forward to the future videos. PS- that’s my favourite colour on this bike.
yeah if say yellow was the only colour i'd let it ride and say ...team yellow. but they gave me a choice of colour and on a pre-order it should have been done right but thats how it goes. if i'd passed on it i'd say i would be waiting for another couple of months. then again who knows i may have got orange and then said i'd prefer yellow...lol
Hi Warro, the videos coming out of India show Bluetooth connectivity (Suzuki Ride Connect?). Could you confirm if it's also the same for the Australian model?
never heard of that one here but it may be. i usually pick bikes now i can get more easily and save van travel. i will have to look up that model on bikesales
Lucky, Ive still got another week to wait :( Not getting the right colour is not on not even an easy mistake to make. theres only 2 colours! Australia misses out, the indian market gets a 3rd colour, Black.
yeah i guess i could and maybe do a bit better job too but the weather has hit hard here...lol overnight it was a -3C so i will wait till mid-day to take it out as i'm not what i'd class as a good rider -just a rider so better play it safe
only rode it the once with low seat and although it drops the ride height it was extremely hard. so comfort was out the door unless the rider has additional rear end padding...lol which at 70 i dont...lol stock seat is fine and the seat height isnt crazy high. i had a new srz400e for a while...that was crazy high. didn't like that at all but this one drops slightly as its softer suspension too
did you see those tyres. i might try that mud section again where i fell off and see what happens. although this one is higher up than the enfield plus it looks much bigger too. even the wife asked...are you sure you can ride it. my reply was...the bike yes...lol
😂🤣Warro Yellow😂.Yellow is ok pity about Suzuki Australia being usless c#*ts does wind you up when customer service is slack & you really like their product.
I’ve always had awesome service from Triumph. Put that down to luck I feel. The best for me as been Holeshot by a country mile in Auckland. It’s harder for Warro as I think he’s living in the outback’s in the desert somewhere and a million miles from a dealer, lol. Love Warro’s new bike and the colour. But for me a total blacked out bike is easy to look after. My Triumph is totally All Black. Cheers.
@@johnmartin7158 yeah my first triumph i bought used say 4 years back was a 875 scrambler with arrow exhaust.that one surely crackled...lol yeah dealers are scarce this way for some bikes so its more one in each big place plus floor stock is not crash hot either
Yeah that's one of the reasons I chose Trident 🔱 was blacked out engine for ease of maintenance & my Interceptor would get moisture clinging to exposed metal like engine casings & have to leave uncovered.Painted parts are ok that's why I prefer them & ease of maintenance is a bonus.I like both looks but do swing to blacked out engine.
@@ridewithwarro Just watched a few Hunter reviews & one review Fuzzy biker called it a baby Interceptor the Interhunter.Has the floating motor so is alot lighter & sportier especially with the 17" alloys.Look forward to that video & also seeing what you think of this after some kms gone up on it.
not sure there hard to say but it runs extremely well as is. no complaints there and a very smooth sealed road runner too. very little vibe and pretty comfortable in the seat
@@ridewithwarro ok, thanks. With the amount of 'surprise' loss of pavement/construction/dirt and rock roads here, anything to roll over obstacles a bit easier is a nice to have. Hopefully I can make a nice ride even better
I tried to get this bike, but also got the big run around. I think it the bike Suzuki want to hide away in the closet and forget for some reason. I had planed to purchase two bike as a pair, however I ended up going else where and have a V-Strom 1050 DE, gf approved.
That's not good being messed around Warro, so the customer is always right doesn't apply. It's a lot of money to get something you didn't want. But anyhow hope you enjoy the bike & can spin a negative first impression in to a positive.
yeah imagine you emplyed the half witt who read the invoice and there were only 2 choices either red or yellow and he pulled the wrong one... after that also sent the wrong colour bike to the dealer but got the red wheel trims spot on ....lol i'd say he probably loaded up pornhub instead of suzuki sub...lol and shot the wrong load.
im 5.9 and have no issues there. all i can say on this bike...buy one! ive had lots of new bikes and honestly this bike is extremely hard to beat for value for money and what it is. very low on bar vibes too. cruise along at 100 kph easy. pulls good hills in top gear. remember too i had the 300l and 250 rally....rather this one any day impossible to beat for the price. i had some-one comment it needs this and that and this...lol easy fix dont buy and spend double the money and still you'll be fixing up the more expensive bike ...lol for the money its a very good bike
yeah its a single and pretty smooth too.dont think its a made in japan for $6500 honda dont do that on their $10k crf300l or even the ct125 trail but saying that these vstrom are very well put together and i read that the old vstrom twin was a bit vibey where this one is great. i actually dropped this bike and was pissed off and sold it. but later i thought its the best value bike ive been on so went bacj to the dealer and bought the 2024 model in black...lol really good bike
My recent experience with Suzuki Australia is the complete opposite of yours. They got back to me straight away with queries I had on my new VStrom 650. This was in complete contrast to the Royal Enfield Australian importer who are f’ing hopeless
well i suppose the reason i get on well with enfield is ive bought $200K or roughly 20 of their bikes...lol that helps i guess! more importantly seeing they sent me the wrong colour too that didn't help butbikes mean nothing to me and i just ride them. when i do my open road test ride today i will tell it how i see it by the way i knew a guy who had a 650 vstom and he told me its a very good bike. never ridden one to find out but in reality im not a suzuki lover so to speak and was attracted to this unit by price only. $6500 is nothing so very easy to grab and if no good should flog it off easily for $5k
@@ridewithwarro yep I’m sure 200k of purchases helps! I think a lot of it also comes down to how interested the dealer is in helping out on issues. My VStrom is the non Lams version and have found it to be very good but only 2000 klms so far. Hope the new bike works out for you
well if i have issues with dealers i like to remind them but i still think this little 250 is good value for money and im setting up the mic and stuff to go ride it shortly and post a ride review. it was -3 here last night and pretty frosty so i want to ride on a good road as im scared of the sealed stuff...lol as a rule i only like 20 hp or a bit more bikes as i cant be trusted with power....lol i have the urge to wanting to flatten 'em or i did in the cars till i switched to cheaper bikes. actuallt thought today that little suzuki for $6500 was pretty cheap compared to the xmax scooter for $10k but the ct125 i had at $7800 each were heavily overpriced and heavily undepowered and gutless too....lol honda certainly ripped off the consumer on the old school day trail with the new school price. caught me twice but i was curious and it filled in a bit of time so no real harm done there
yeah suzuki never replied to me so no luck there. i even said in the email that they should express freight the right colour to the dealer too. plus i also said -how hard is it to pick the right colour out of two. in fact i said it was a 50/50 and you still got it wrong. my guess is they didn't like my email but they didn't knock back my $1000 deposit in jan...lol plus they are now getting good publicity on how to do a very easy job where a company employs idiots who can't read ..... even enfield replied when i got my first 650 interceptor and the key jammed in the locking petrol cap. they actually sent out a full harness for the bike to be re-keyed so that shows how much they cared. that was 2019 in very first shipment of the 650's they have pretty good values and thats why i plan to buy the hunter 350 shortly. it appears to be a pretty good set of wheels
@@ridewithwarro maybe they only go through dealers. i don't know i've had two new suzukis but never even went back to the dealer let alone contacted head office. no need nothing ever fails and when parts wear out you can just get them delivered to your door.
@@6226superhurricane yeah its hard to say. the drama side is over for me now. i'm sort of looking foreward to buying the enfield hunter 350 and try out how it compares to the classic 350 reborn. some say a much better ride experience. personally i don't think it looks as good as the timeless classic but i still think i will have to try one out and see for myself.
Yes, you are right. i was probably giving it too much value for the money...lol its the 4th new bike ive bought this year and 2 of those have led's and i miscued there...lol
They don't give us a topbox/mount here in India. But for the price, the build quality, the fit and finish, overall robustness and the audience it's aimed at for, an excellent trooper at that. Barring the low front suspension travel, the little Strom absolutely doesn't complain anywhere you take it. The power figures don't do justice on paper, but on real word, just like all Suzukis underpromise on paper and overdelivers out there... Enjoy it Warro!
thanks-yeah its a great little bike which runs extremely well and good for the price too. the top box deal was only available prior to pre-orders for the first shipment. i think from now on its still available as an option to buy. either way the free topbox is not due here till end of june all the best
Lemon hey; maybe Suzuki Australia needs a lemon blancmange , for listening to customers, perhaps:! I hope it turns out to be what you need Warro,! At least you will give it a fair go.
yeah i wasn't too impressed with that especially when i had the text saying i'd buy it in the red/orange. but i'm over it now and not that much plastic on this compared to the scooter...lol never got this till late in the afternoon and it was pretty cold too. better weather tomorrow so i plan to give it a run then next week i might take it back to a couple of places i took the enfield 350...lol interesting times ahead
I am partial to yellow, I think it looks great! But I guess that's not the point when you set your heart on a different color. Suzuki will have lost a few potential customers from that. Suzuki: beware of karma, she's always watching. Moving on to watch the riding review.
yeah its an issue or was. i already have theyellow sports car and yellow grom so an orange would have been different. milk is splilt now so its yellow...lol heres latest clip -ua-cam.com/video/VKAJK84Yifs/v-deo.html
G'day Warro, mate catching up with the videos as l have been away on a big ride with mates, l would be pissed if any Motorcycle Company stuffed me around like that, you must be a saint compared to me, hope the bike meets your expectations, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
yeah i suppose thats how it goes but i'm sort of over it now. looking foreward to maybe trying it out and more details are in the next clip after this -the ride review out now. interesting to watch to say the least
I think it will be a quite decent bike for what it is but... i have never liked how suzuki bikes look like. Might also be because of their color options.
i would say it pretty hard to get a good bike regardless and ive bought 65 of them new over the past 10 years....lol thats enough to own your own orchard......lemons of coarse!
Problem is here we all want best for cheap if it is car ancap 5 but affordability is going rock bottom less than developing world so manufacturers r not showing much interest not in priority any more when u sell or provide service, below normal service we r charging 200 or 300$ per hour imagine i may get bike for 6800 in few years maintenance cost and rego will be more than bikes worth ,mining and real estate migration keeping the system going
id say with this bike do the minor services yourself and just do the valve check from dealer. i think regular oil and filter changes and chain oil will get you out of quite a bit of service costs. i sold this one and bought same n black. good bikes and run wel
@@ridewithwarro seems to actually be built in the Suzuki plant in India. You could check by looking at the VIN code which has the country of origin embedded in it.

I gave this bike a very big handful for 10000 km from Adelaide to Cairns and back
As well as in between trips and couldn't break it
The chain was replaced standard with high quality one

too late today to do anything but tomorrow i plan to go out and give it a run and check it out more thoroughly.
i've got a pretty good idea now but tomorrow will be more hard core....lol
charging the cameras as today struggled with gopro battery power. didn't like the cold weather or so it appeared.

This bike with Shinko 805's or TKC 80's would be a blast on dirt roads.
bike does run well as ive put up 3 or 4 clips on it. didnt go too good in the clay type mud and i dropped it...lol
on open road runs very easy at 60 mph/100 kph and pulls hills good too
The real bonus is that Hazard yellow paint - rescue services could spot it 5km in the air 😁
Joking aside, its a pretty sharp looking ride! I look forward to the upcoming vids!
yeah and where i plan to take it that colour may just come in handy...lol i am going to try it out later today.

That bike looks AWESOME 👌. That actually is a cool looking yellow. Doesn't look like that high viz traffic vest type at all. No doubt someone else would have pounced on that bike had you not taken it. You also had a Yamaha XT250 as well to compare it to 😉. Looking forward to your review.
thanks for the reminder and i stand corrected. totally forgot about it and the ktm 390 adv too...lol must be too many rides to gather up..lol

since this clip ive now purchased same bike in black. fitted crash bars/sump guard and rear carrier. off road tyres on next week
rides coming soon and all info in my history side
i was going to buy one of these tommorrow but because of your experience with suzuki i am staying well clear of a suzuki dealership now, cheers mate
ive had issues with enfield just as much and i still like those bikes...lol at least go and take a look at the suzuki as its a pretty good bike overall. i may have not had good dealing to start with but the bike itself is still pretty good-runs well-very little vibe-cruise easily at 100 kph and very well priced too.
so im positive on the bike not so much on the pre-order experience.
all the best!
Why, just because one person had a less than perfect experience?
A less than perfect experience in an area that should be perfect and streamlined from a reputable global organization whilst exchanging 1000's of worked for pounds....... it might just be 1 person to Suzuki, but that 1 person isn't me, i know the bikes are top notch, but whats the point in serving the best meal in world on a dirty plate, unless people refuse to put up with substandard service, it will continue to happen@@frankperham5629
Nearly bought this but couldn't wait and got the 390 adventure. Interested to see your comparison. Cheers
yeah i forgot i had the 390 adv...lol had one of those too after i sold the 390 duke. trouble for me too many rides. good bike too. got the chance to try out the abs corning mode on the 390 adv and it worked very well
Amazing bike, back here in india we get a light mode odometer. I have driven over 6k km and i am loving it !
i too think its a good value bike which appears to run quite well.all the best from AU
Hope you get to like the yellow or I'll find myself watching a warro paints his vstrom video 😅
cold weather is here now so that rules out painting. i think sunday is -3c anyway when i get the hunter 350 in a couple of weeks time i will certainly confirm the colour prior to buying it...lol
plus plenty of them about i think so colour should not be an issue there or i hope not....lol
Wise move to accept the yellow one. Chances are that they have increased the price since you ordered this one by 5 to 10%...
yeah i was mainly concerned that if i knocked it back and said get me my order which they cant find and thats my advanced $1000 deposit i may be waiting for orange next shipment.
told pre-orders go out first. not unusual thats what happened too with honda when i ordered the 300l
either way i am team yellow now and colour aside which still looks alright-
who knows i may not have likewd the orange...lol
all the best!
@@mariomessinamotorcycles i'll be putting the wind deflector clip together shortly. all the best!
Little dirty Suzuki looks great Warro✅ Shame SA didn’t get back to you about stuffing you around with your preferred colour scheme 🤦♂️ That’s not good PR. Am thinking about the new 8S, but not if they’re not interested in helping out! Looking forward to your first ride review 🤙 Cast rims should be robust enough down some of your goat tracks 😉
yeah it only cost $6500 so it will be interesting what one gets for that. bit late on the pickup but something clip wise is still far better than nothing....lol
the optional red transfers on the wheels look good against the yellow so thats a plus...lol
Beautiful!
thanks...i am keen to get on it later today to try it out.
Needless to say I didn't end up buying any of my accessories through the dealer as I had planned, paid a nice fellow in india 1/3rd of Australia dealer prices the price for genuine accessories shipped, and I don't feel bad about it.
yeah well best idea dont take any notice of dealers on enfields...lol you probably know i bought 20 of them in total -all new and i was actually telling the dealers what was wrong with them on the 500's
some think they know 500's...i actually know...lol
my joke to a dealer once when i bought a new 500-i think this is the only new bike you can buy and go home and start fixing it...lol
he didn't think it was that funny but he knew i was right!
tell me your experience with the hunter 350 - im thinking of buying one in two weeks. there only $7700 which is nothing and i have the classic 350 and i believe the hunter has a better mid range tune and sharper handling and a bit lighter.
enfield todays are not like they were when i first bought one 10 years back. those bikes were total junk. i would ride one now if you gave it to me.
the 350's are the go. good looks and reliable but dealer wise ...give them nothing as they are just sharks.
interested in hearing on your hunter experience. either way i will buy just for curiosity as thats my dna ..lol but i think something is terribly wrong if your not keen on it or all other test riders are taking it up too much.
back to the petrol side. i bought 4 new cb500x's from the same dealer and no petrol either just $10 back and full retail price...lol i find its the little things which annoy me.
i can drop a few $1000 on a bike and laugh about it and get overcharged for a meat pie and it annoys me for days.
@@ridewithwarro yeah at least you got $10 back haha
I'm really enjoying the hunter 350. I wasn't able to demo one before I bought but I did demo;
Classic 350
interceptor 650
cbx500
Svartpilon 401
ninja 400
CBR650R
yamaha mt07
triumph 660
but after taking delivery of the bike, I think it was best of the bunch for me.
@@MrCombfoot yeah i think those hunters are interesting. i like the 350 classic better but ive had heaps so like the style of them.
no real demo bikes in this area or very few. dealers only get one bike or so of each and they sit not for long....lol
what colour hunter did you get. im sort of steering towards that dark metallic grey-do you see that unit.
So which dealer was that? I'd like to minimise the chance of getting the same shite 'service.'

The mud hornet mate. Actually orange is my favourite bike colour but I don't mind that yellow Warro.
yeah if say yellow was the only colour i'd let it ride and say ...team yellow. but they gave me a choice of colour and on a pre-order it should have been done right but thats how it goes.
if i'd passed on it i'd say i would be waiting for another couple of months.
then again who knows i may have got orange and then said i'd prefer yellow...lol
Hi Warro, the videos coming out of India show Bluetooth connectivity (Suzuki Ride Connect?). Could you confirm if it's also the same for the Australian model?
no i dont think we get that here and i'd say that has to do with the low rideaway price
Great Bike in UK we have a Zontes 350T2 very light and good value.
never heard of that one here but it may be. i usually pick bikes now i can get more easily and save van travel. i will have to look up that model on bikesales
Lucky, Ive still got another week to wait :( Not getting the right colour is not on not even an easy mistake to make. theres only 2 colours!
Australia misses out, the indian market gets a 3rd colour, Black.

only rode it the once with low seat and although it drops the ride height it was extremely hard. so comfort was out the door unless the rider has additional rear end padding...lol which at 70 i dont...lol
stock seat is fine and the seat height isnt crazy high. i had a new srz400e for a while...that was crazy high. didn't like that at all but this one drops slightly as its softer suspension too

My Triumph is totally All Black.

yeah dealers are scarce this way for some bikes so its more one in each big place

Yeah that's one of the reasons I chose Trident 🔱 was blacked out engine for ease of maintenance & my Interceptor would get moisture clinging to exposed metal like engine casings & have to leave uncovered.Painted parts are ok that's why I prefer them & ease of maintenance is a bonus.I like both looks but do swing to blacked out engine.

not sure there hard to say but it runs extremely well as is. no complaints there and a very smooth sealed road runner too.

@@ridewithwarro ok, thanks. With the amount of 'surprise' loss of pavement/construction/dirt and rock roads here, anything to roll over obstacles a bit easier is a nice to have. Hopefully I can make a nice ride even better

i didn't know there was a shortage of them in the stores. they must either be selling well or supplies are limited
That's not good being messed around Warro, so the customer is always right doesn't apply. It's a lot of money to get something you didn't want. But anyhow hope you enjoy the bike & can spin a negative first impression in to a positive.
yeah imagine you emplyed the half witt who read the invoice and there were only 2 choices either red or yellow and he pulled the wrong one...

yeah its a single and pretty smooth too.dont think its a made in japan for $6500 honda dont do that on their $10k crf300l or even the ct125 trail
but saying that these vstrom are very well put together and i read that the old vstrom twin was a bit vibey where this one is great.
i actually dropped this bike and was pissed off and sold it. but later i thought its the best value bike ive been on so went bacj to the dealer and bought the 2024 model in black...lol
really good bike
My recent experience with Suzuki Australia is the complete opposite of yours. They got back to me straight away with queries I had on my new VStrom 650. This was in complete contrast to the Royal Enfield Australian importer who are f’ing hopeless
well i suppose the reason i get on well with enfield is ive bought $200K or roughly 20 of their bikes...lol that helps i guess!
more importantly seeing they sent me the wrong colour too that didn't help butbikes mean nothing to me and i just ride them.
when i do my open road test ride today i will tell it how i see it
by the way i knew a guy who had a 650 vstom and he told me its a very good bike.
never ridden one to find out but in reality im not a suzuki lover so to speak and was attracted to this unit by price only.
Hope the new bike works out for you
well if i have issues with dealers i like to remind them but i still think this little 250 is good value for money and im setting up the mic and stuff to go ride it shortly and post a ride review.

my guess is they didn't like my email but they didn't knock back my $1000 deposit in jan...lol
plus they are now getting good publicity on how to do a very easy job where a company employs idiots who can't read .....
even enfield replied when i got my first 650 interceptor and the key jammed in the locking petrol cap.
they actually sent out a full harness for the bike to be re-keyed so that shows how much they cared.
that was 2019 in very first shipment of the 650's

They don't give us a topbox/mount here in India. But for the price, the build quality, the fit and finish, overall robustness and the audience it's aimed at for, an excellent trooper at that. Barring the low front suspension travel, the little Strom absolutely doesn't complain anywhere you take it. The power figures don't do justice on paper, but on real word, just like all Suzukis underpromise on paper and overdelivers out there... Enjoy it Warro!
