Harvest Right needs to make you their spokesperson you are absolutely awesome you explain exactly what you're doing when you freeze dry something. With that being said another awesome video
I am near a Sam's Club and they sell there whole cooked rotisserie chicken for $5.00 each. I purchased four of them. I shredded the chicken while they were still warm. It is so easy to make chicken pot pies or casseroles or whatever you want to make in half the time! Great show Brooke!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Wonderful! It is so good to watch you freeze drying anything! I like your videos no matter what your doing! I love y'all so much!
We knew a lady who freeze dried everything! She would put freeze dried veges and meats in a pint jar with minute rice! Pour hot water on it and have dinner. Great for camping ⛺️
Brooke, thank you for teaching me how to shred my chicken. That was so cool. Can't tell you how many times I needed to shred my hot chicken. Oh I am so excited.
I’m sure a lot, she has been doing a lot of videos on freeze drying. Just think 🤔 for each one sold they make 20% for each sell. So that’s like $300 they get from just one sold! Wow! I would be advertising like her to! Lol
Good morning Brooke, have a perfect day. If you think about it the military and space programs have been freeze drying meat for years. You open the packets and add hot water.
Freeze-dried chicken can also be used for pet treats if you poach it or bake it without seasonings. I think you can also use organ meats (like chicken liver) for freeze-drying for pet treats. They can be used for both cats and dogs. Thanks for your wonderful videos, and also to you and Jason for the great Cog Hill Farm videos! Sending best wishes to your family and all of the animals!

Why would you need a broth to rehydrate? Also you have to do is mix rendered stock from the chicken into a freeze dried bullion cube, heat that up, pour that into the freeze dried chicken, then put them both in a vacuum chamber to reconstitute them faster through a negative pressure environment like when reverse pickle brining.
Im a woman of 78 yr old and I live alone, I lift my hat to you, Brooke, what a surprise with the freeze-dried chicken it looks so good, Thank you for sharing, God Bless 🙏🙏
Wow! Thanks for the tip to use my mixer to shred cooked chicken!! That is a game changer because my right hand cannot stand the shredding process for long. Thank you from Colorado.
I really want one but I’m alone and on disability. That doesn’t give you barely any wiggle room. It’s so hard living on this compared to what I was making before this guy rammed into me. Every part of my life has been changed and of course the lawyer ripped me off in the settlement. Just feeling sorry for myself, so glad to see this working out so well for your family. Please keep coming up with things to freeze dry.

OMG, Brooke, I'm sooooo jealous. That freeze dryer is definitely a game changer. Your eyes popped when you put the reconstituted chicken in your mouth.
I use an old hand mixer to shred chicken, pork and beef. My husband worked with a guy who did a lot of church fundraisers and was complaining about having to use forks to make pulled pork . My husband told him how I do it and the guy tried it and told my husband to tell me thanks because it was a game changer .
We received our HarvestRight Freezedryer just this past week. We are building a counter in the utility room to place it on. My husband and I are both so excited to be able to preserve our food for long periods of time. The best part is we will not have to run a freezer to preserve the food any longer!
The Tony S seasoning is pronouonced "sash-er-ree" I agree that reconstituting with chicken stock or bone stock would be an excellent way to enhance your chicken!
It's pronounced ch like church 😊❤ Yes rehydrate in broth. You could freeze the broth you cooked the chicken in in zip loc bags flat. Easy to store & thaw out. Great find Brooke. 👏
Great episode Brooke, a little prep you could do on a rainy day when your stuck inside can be a game changer with a little imagination and forward thinking planning. 😀👍👍👍
I think chicken broth would make tastier. I freeze broth in ice cube trays and put the cubes in s freezer bags. Easy to add to meals one cube at a time. You could melt in pan or microwave and then add the chicken. Yum. 😊
Ole Bay Seasoning is really good. If you like Shrimp, put a little bit of water in the bottom of a pot, depending how much shrimp you're fixing. Sprinkle the Ole Bay lightly over each layer of shrimp then add a little into the water. Steam it until the shrimp shell turns redish orange. Pour it in a Callander to drain, deshell it and eat up. If you have a bottle or can of beer, pour it in with the water and it brings out the flavor of shrimp. You can do the same with crab legs.
Brooke you can tell if a pineapple is ripe by pulling on the center leave if it falls right out then it's ripe if the leaf lifts up the pineapple it's not ripe 😊 at least that's how I do it and I hope this helps you ❤ have a blessed day always 🥰☺️🥰☺️🥰☺️🙏
I am currently in the process of building freeze dried soup mixes. I'm doing Chicken tortilla soup, chili and Beef and Barley soup. Once I get them out of my Freeze dryer I am going to freeze dry all the squash and pumpkins that are left from our 2022 garden. They are getting towards the end of being viable and instead of them rotting I am cooking and freeze drying them.
Good morning Coghill, have you ever put poultry seasoning in your water when billing your chicken? You can add other seasoning afterwards. Just add depth of favor, and you have chicken broth as a bonus.
I love watching your channel here in the UK. I would recommend watching Grandma and Grandpa Griffiths and their girls for freeze drying advice. It amazes me what you can do with a freeze dryer. love to you all and the Cog Hill Squad. 💚
Brooke, I buy freeze dried chicken all the time. I is fantastic! I use it in casseroles. Soups and even noodles. Freeze dried chicken does "powder" but I love using the powder to make my own cream soup and seasoning for other dishes. And don't forget it makes perfect doggo snacks. Also, you can freeze dry tomatoes and make tomato powder. Fantastic for anything you use tomatoes in. Check the internet for great powdered tomato recipes.
You are such a pro at making videos, Brooke! I love watching what you do! Holy cow! Chicken sitting on your counter for weeks or months at a time, what a conversation piece. Lol! 😂. Make sure you put the date on the jar so people know how long it's been sitting there! Love you guys, have a wonderful day.
I saw freeze dried meat from a company years ago for purchase so this is great to see you are doing it with the Harvest Right! Even more reason to have one!!
As I watched a video from the Okie Homestead meet up on one of the booths that sold freeze dried products, i noticed one that said Complete pot roast dinner. I'm trying to talk my son into buying a Harvest Right freeze dryer. They both work and they have four kids. I think doing complete or nearly complete meals would help them out so much!
My problem with the o2 is if open a pack. If you it don’t use them immediately they go bad. Ten in a pack so don’t use ten at same time. I put in jar n vacuum seal it. Also if open the jar the O2 goes bad. But if you have jar sealer can just pop it on hit the button n it’s resealed n won’t go bad. Can sit in counter for 25 years. Bahahaha
Brooke I'm glad you ordered a sealer. I dehydrate many things and I just put that sealer on the jar and it doesn't have to be a new lid like canning. You can use the lid over and over. If you live in a place where the humidity is high it will keep your food without air getting in. Just my experience. I am calling harvest right to get my freeze dryer to make sure you get the credit. Love you guys!!
