Great video, Man! I think the Zoom Podtrak P4 added to the mix would be a stellar mobile video podcasting rig. I'm gonna give it a go and see how it works out.
Ayyyyyy you beat me to it I’m working on a portable podcast video with the DJI action 4 and usb mic setup Good stuff, great video and setup suggestion!
@@FollowMrFORD so far I love it. I had the pocket 2 and liked it but also kinda wanted something with less moving parts and pocketable since I don’t need the gimble aspect and the action 4 fits the bill
Yeah, it’s really versatile. There’s a lot of things you can do to fit any set up. Honestly technology has come so far in the last 15 years it really is hard to believe sometimes.
What type of phone? You would need to use usb for power from a phone or the Osmo. If you go into a different device from the mic you can record good audio that way.
So it’s for both solo and for interview podcasting. The way you record would be slightly different if you only have one osmo pocket 3. I am making a video for the setup this week.
Are you looking for anything in particular for your portable set up? I have several different options that I am going to be reviewing for travel. Are you doing a video podcast or just audio? Do you already have microphone options? I am reviewing a few different types of microphones and camera options depending on how you want your set up to be and how professional you want your production. In the next video I’ll be including lights as well as the types of stands that you can bring for any conditions.
@@FollowMrFORD hey ford, thanks for getting back to me, I would say video podcast setup, I have the DJI pocket 3 as wel as the Shure mv7 mic too, I was hoping for options for a two person podcast setup with the DJI pocket 3. Is it possible to hook up two DJI mics to the pocket 3 or two shure mv7s?
So you can connect to Mike’s with a splitter cable. It will only play the audio from one microphone, but you can use the headphone jack from the second microphone to record directly to an audio recorder. I think the DJI Osmo pocket is the only USB-C device that powers both at the same time. A cellphone can’t do that.
Bruh I have this mic and never used it really and now that I plugged it to dji osmo pocket three and went on the Shure motiv app and set the mic on auto and oh my god all I did was plug this mic to the pocket 3 and put the volume at 0 on pocket 3 and it sounds amazing
Could have saved money and used the lav mic by DJI plugged into the Dji mic 2. All of which can fit in your pocket. You don't like a small mic on your shirt but perfer a big mic in front of your mouth... interesting. I only use my Mv7 with my OP3 when i dj live on stream.
Well, I already had the Shure Mics, they were a part of a studio setup. I travel and interview more and the quality of the lav sound really wasn’t the same. They are a great solution in non interview in the field shoots or vlog style talking head.
Yeah, if you listen to the audio from first scene when I’m outside, I am wearing the DJI microphone and there is a lot of ambient noise compared to the MV seven. The directional mic also has a lot fuller sound.
@FollowMrFORD yea. I've got the pocket 3 creator combo. I'm also in houston. If u can guide me on how to use the shure mv7 to the get quality sounds like the one in your post. I'd be really glad.
Yes Sirrr! I use the Pocket 3 for my podcast...This camera is amazing! 👍👍
It really is!
@bluntconvozpodcast How do you capture or sync the audio from your podcast mics
@@RJ.THE.CREAT.OR. We have a mixer. I just get the audio files from there and sync it with the vid.
How is it for long run time 45mins to an hour?
@@AnthonyBlackwellJr I have ran it for over an hour and didn't have any issues....On more than 1 occasion.
This is brilliant! I didn’t think to try it but now I will. Subscribed!!!
Yay! I’m glad the video was helpful! It’s a great setup for sure. Hope you like it.
And thanks for subscribing 😁
love this idea! thanks for sharing! good luck on your youtube endeavors!
I’m glad you liked it. And Thank you! I appreciate it.
I have the shirt and I’m thinking about picking up the pocket three so this video was cool. Thanks for making it.
You’re very welcome. It’s a great combination. I’m glad it was helpful.

Thanks! That sounds like you’ll have a nice rig
I have been having an issue. When I turn on my osmo with the mic plugged in, it starts recording by itself for 1 second then stop.
Ayyyyyy you beat me to it

Nice, how do you like the Action 4?

Nice, I definitely thought about getting one just to try it out. What do you use it for usually?
Thanks G...This is so informative
Of course, working on a more detailed part 2.
Cool.🎉Thank You
You’re welcome. 🙏🏽
You can also just use your phone as a monitor as well. I wish the UI would work with IPad .. maybe the MIMO works with mini as external monitor

You’re the greatest 😮
Thanks 🙏🏽. I appreciate it.
Great video man..what setting did you used?
I will try and remember to go grab the settings and post them in the comments
could u plug a cable from the headphone port to ur phone and record on both and get sound

when you say podcasting, is it solo podcasting? how can you connect 2 of those mics to the dji pocket if you have a co host?

Oh and thanks for this recommendation
Also left out the wind muff
Well, you forgot to use the mic 2 option for AI noise reduction and get super clean audio.
I do like the mic 2 for non-podcast videos. It’s super versatile!

Thought as mush. Cos was about to ask if the lav mic would produce the same sound quality as the shure mv7@@FollowMrFORD

I am actually going to make a video on how to set up your shure microphone. I will add a link to it as soon as I upload it.
