I'm finishing the book right now and it's a great read! It gets me hype to make pottery. I enjoyed hearing about his life, and the things he has been through to get him where he is today as one of the top potters in the world in my opinion. Also interesting to find out he went to Waldorf school. I wanted to send my daughter to one but they are quite expensive in the states. Thanks for taking the time to reflect on your life and write a book about it Florian!!!

I got the book a couple of days ago and I have hardly put it down! It is insightful and entertaining. I would very much recommend it.
Jon -- I think one of the major differences between pottery in the US and pottery in the UK (and I'll include pottery in places such as Scandinavia as well) is that when I look at UK and European home/decor/design magazines, I see a style that is very spare and I think that aesthetic is a through-line in Florian's work. I also think that life for craft artisans in the UK is very different from life here in the US. Part of that is the fact of living someplace where you can be living in a house that is 1000 years old and people there are, I think, very aware of the work that goes into craft and are willing to spend real money to have real things in their homes.

That's amazing 🤩 It would be awesome if you could share your thoughts and choices throughout the whole process (I've only seen potters building the kiln in time-lapse so far and not really talking about their choices, options, materials, costs ect).
