Earth and fire should be considered a national dutch treasure!!!cheers to Red Bullet for spreading the music of the band.
Earth and Fire were a remarkable good band, started with this great George Kooymans composition Seasons but it proved out the twins were very talented songwriters resulting in a stream of high quality pop/rock,progressive rock singles. Sadly the high level lasted only 4/5 years. Love of life was the last great single. It's fair to say they were one of the best Dutch groups ever and deserved more succes abroad.
Earth & Fire was really together with Golden Earring(s) somewhat the best of Dutch international pop to give the world unforgettable classics never to forget at that period!
Wonderful Dutch band. They made some really cool stuff. Jerney rocks!

This is not Jerney Kaagman singin but Manuela Berloth, she was the first singer of the band.
This song is from their first album, which was released in September 1970. Jerney is credited for all lead vocals.
Manuela Berloth, the original singer for Earth & Fire was forced to leave the band in late 1969 due to an eye disease.

I heard this song probably 20 years ago and now a few days ago I was dreaming about it, weird.. I never knew this was a dutch group.

This one is also written by George Kooymans of the Golden Earring. Goeie jongen die George;-).

Ik heb het idee dat die goeie jongen vooral zichzelf goed vind, net als die andere bandleden van Golden Earring. Dit is het enige nummer dat hij voor Earth and Fire geschreven heeft. Voorderest is Earth and Fire veel beter dan Golden Earring.

@goldmarque earth and fire had more hits in Nederland than this , i can t believe why this group didn t chart in the uk , i read some comments of people living in your country , so i think that the dj s in your country didn t play this records .This uncredible group had 7 big hits between 70 and 74 in Nederland and my country .Shocking blue was no better than Earth and fire but they had a nr 1 in the VS .I had so much too say and to many place

EN. That was then and this is now. Back in the day, we had the marvelous popmusic from The Hague. Now there's only riots in the 'Schilderswijk' and bad politics from the 'Binnenhof'. Sad but true.
NL. Dat was toen en dit is nu. Toen hadden we de grandioze popmuziek uit Den Haag. Nu hebben we rellen in de Schilderswijk en slechte politiek uit de Binnenhof. Droevig maar waar.
