Also, it now makes sense why Alex Horne has never actually been a contestant on CatsDown, only ever a dictionary corner guest (as far as I'm aware.)

What about Janice Long (BBC Radio 1 DJ, and sister of the late Keith Chegwin) who appeared on the very first edition of "3-2-1" in 1978? She appeared along with her then husband, and although they ended up winning the show, they didn't win the star prize (a Vauxhall Chevette), but instead won a sterling silver tea service, which they later sold so that they could put a deposit down on a house. Amongst the wierder prizes oin that show were a St Bernard dog!
What about Ed Byrne (Irish stand-up comedian, and regular on "Mock The Week") who also appeared on "Blind Date" in 1993? Like Amanda Holden, he didn't get chosen. TV presenters Jenni Falconer and Ortis Deeley also appeared on the show, in 1994 and 1995 respectively.
