Just bought mine in February, I love it so far! $27,400.00 for the grey AWD. It is so good on gas, and I love the features it offers. I will eventually invest in some sound deadening and an improved sound system but it is still so nice. I have no children so my car only ever has me and my partner in it, he is 6'4" and fits comfortably.
Thanks for the great walkaround and very informative video. I wish the manufacturers did such a thorough visual tour. Definitely liked and subscribed. For those considering this car, I just bought this 2023 Kona SEL Convenience AWD yesterday and I got the Teal Isle color. I live in Hawaii, so the vibrant color blends in with the vibes. I traded a Mini Cooper S convertible, so it's a little different car, slower (obviously), but smoother ride. One thing I noticed is that if you turn the lane follow assist on, it kind of fights you a little in turns, which actually makes it feel a bit sportier. Overall, I compared this to a Kia Soul, Honda CRV, and Subaru Crosstrek. I might have gone with the Crosstrek, but there was literally 1 on the island to look at. It's my 3rd Hyundai I've purchased in 25 years, but it seems very solid and well built. Btw, the dog in my Google picture is named Kona, so I guess it's her car now.
This car at this trim is currently being sold for 40,000.00 USD in my area in Las Vegas after taxes titles fees out the door. they were willing to go down to 36,000.00 This car is on the smaller side and kind of cramped like all small SUV's The base model of this car is advertised on Hyundai's website at 22,000 for the SE. the convenience package is marked at +2,400.00 on the website. This car is worth sticker price 26K at best and you should haggle maybe about 12% off in normal circumstances. It is NOT a good time to buy any car at the moment.
Bought the teal isle color in SEL without the convenience package. Would have liked the leather-wrapped steering wheel but honestly, in Arizona heat, it's kinda annoying to contend with. I one day plan on getting an N from Hyundai but with gas prices where they are at, I love the 32-35 mpg I can get up to. My main focus was practicality and day-to-day driving, but the DCT does interest me. The only concern is the manual states there are a couple of overheating warnings for DCT models. Once I have more disposal income generated, I could see myself with an N. For now, the $126 for insurance at a $300 deductible for collision and comprehensive at 32 mpg does it for me. The only thing I regret is not asking for a better price in the Finance office, but altogether, I was at $27k for the car. Might be foolish to some, but truth be told, I don't need heated seats in what's about to be 115+ degree weather. The ventilated seats can be hit-and-miss since those are leather as well. I had someone tell me at a motorcycle dealership that it's the equivalent of having swamp @$$ so in this weather, I think I made the right choice
Will the headlights turn off automatically in the “auto” position? Or do I have switch to “off.” Also shoutout for mentioning the downhill braking assist feature button had no idea
Yes the headlights will operate without needing adjustment in Auto. On when needed and off when not. They will even turn on with the wipers in an intermittent setting.
Regardless it’s still a great product. Best selling subcompact SUV in Canada and I doubt that’s stopping anytime soon. I’ve already seen a few 2024 Kona’s on the road. They will continue to be a best seller for a while. I truely think the first gen Kona (2018-2023) will age better long term.
Yes! Rear cameras have been mandated in the US on all new vehicles since May 1st, 2018. This means every 2018MY vehicle and newer should have one standard. They were previously optional equipment.
Very true! All vehicles with Digital Key have the wireless charging pad automatically but coincidently most (if not all) also have the 10.25" screen now which doesn't support wireless AA/AC. It's give and take for sure but as I have found the adapters work well for AA/AC.
Not a fan of wireless charging. Heats up your phone and is pretty slow. If you have a new phone (1-2 years old), it will easily last all day anyway. The more you sit and trickle-charge or repeatedly charge it during the day, the faster you lose permanent battery life.

I bought my Kona last month in a dove grey with the black trim.... LOVE IT !!! Still figuring out how it works 😍😁.
Congrats!
We just got one on 4/5, dark gray with light gray trim. Like you, we're still working on learning all the different features.

Congrats! The 0% for 36 month is a great option right now.
What’s your credit score like?? Asking because I want to do the same promotion they have available but my credit isn’t in the fair range yet

You must have very good credit!
Great overview! Bummer that there's wireless charging but no wireless Android Auto or Carplay with the "convenience" package...
