    You have not given me any technical reasons why its worth it like what differentiates it from others - technically - ie, materials, moving parts, structure etc. - more like a marketing video.

    Got mine off a friend, it was 8 years old and he was dumping it as it wasn’t working. Took it home, took the door apart and cleaned the water drying pipe work out. Now had it for 16 years, keep waiting for it to fail, although it still requires those drying tubes to be unblocked once a year.

      Keep it as long as you can! They don’t make them last long anymore. Greedy buggers need to dig into our pockets every 6 years.

    Does fully integrated mean you can put a facade on it to match your kitchen units, or does it mean all the controls are hidden? Finding it kinda confusing. I love the look of that steel fronted model you're reviewing, but they all seem to be white in the UK.

    • @Donsappliances
      @Donsappliances  Рік тому +1

      Yes, you can add a panel onto the units because of the hidden controls on the top part of the door.

    For me, miele products are fantastic. I have a miele washing machine which is fantastic, especially for delicate fabrics. My sister washed her silk and lace wedding dress in it and it came out perfect.
    My miele vacuum cleaner .......it once sucked up my cat's tail from 6 inches away ( cat is fine thankfully ). I had it on the strongest suction at the time.
    I finally made the leap and purchased a dishwasher. I had one growing up but i never had one in this house. Its BRILLIANT. Ive lost ten pounds just from cooking my own food. My house is clean all the time because im not exhausted from cooking AND washing all the dishes. Its a basic model that i have......but I love it. It has the cutlery tray ehich i can also put shallow dishware on.
    I love Miele.

    Miele is well engineered and feels like great quality. I replaced an older Bosch in 2015 with new Miele.
    Unfortunately we have endured the dreaded F70 fault code (leak into drip pan) twice in this time. First was 2020, but with the WuFlu, the parts were back ordered for weeks. Cost about $500 to have it repaired. I’m now looking at another $700 to replace the leaking pump. Technician told me Miele parts prices are 3x Bosch equivalent. I’m considering junking it and getting a new Bosch but was less than impressed with the Home Depot Bosch model. These dishwashers are essential equipment and I $pent a lot on this Miele to avoid these problems. Wouldn’t likely buy another Miele dishwasher given the money pit this one has proven to be.

      After thinking I should get a Miele to not spend and struggle with dishwasher. Guess what F70 code appears after 4 years that needs part replacement will cost me $1.500.

    We had a Jenn Air installed in our brand new home in 2019 and it is now leaking water from motor and door so we decided to buy Miele dishwasher. Does this sound right to you in terms of timing for Jenn Air? We are hoping Miele does not act the same. We wash twice a day

      It depends; any brand or model can have faulty parts and malfunction. Miele dishwashers tend to last much longer. Just keep in mind no matter the brand, your dishwasher might need serviced if something goes wrong.

    I’m in the market for a good dishwasher with a food grinder. If it doesn’t have a food grinder, I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.

    • @Donsappliances
      @Donsappliances  7 місяців тому +1

      New dishwashers from any brand won't have a food grinder. You could install your dishwasher with a garbage disposal in your sink, and that will help.

    Is it worth it. Yes. Because we sell it. And the remote option where it loads the dishwasher via an app because it is so hard to load the dishwasher yourself and press the on button - worth the price. And if you are a moron who cannot choose a detergent and work,out the dosage this is certainly worth the price.

    Count me on the no side. 2017 Miele - 1 week short of 5 years. 2023 Repair cost on a $899 Miele? $1,100 for parts. Yeah, I am fine now with putting a cheap Home Depot Dishwasher in my kitchen.

    noone can convince me that they wash 10x better (as their price suggest) maybe if someone guarantees that it will work without any issues for 30+ years -then it would be worth it, but sadly noone has same kitchen for 30+ years nowadays

      With the electronic components and how appliances are made, it's usually a lifespan of 6 - 8 years. They just make them different than they used to, but they are going to use less power and run more efficiently.

      They say that in the HVAC field which I suppose Dishwashers is in the same field..
      If my AC bill was cheaper with r22 back in the day and the units lasted 20-30+ years. Now these fancy ones that cost 20k depending on the installers are not cost efficient bc your bill will stay the same if not increase. Life span on these new units is very low

      10x better? Where can you get a dishwasher for $169? We paid $1699 for our Miele dishwasher in 2018, not the top-of-the-line, but almost. Having been in the industry until 2006, I can say that Miele products are far superior to others. I remember when we got our Miele washer and dryer back in about 2001 (still have them), we saw the inside and how they were made. A week or so later, by chance, I was at an appliance store with a Maytag display showing how well they were made and we just about died laughing it was so pathetic. Our Miele vacuum cleaner is 17 years old and has never been in the shop. We've bought a Miele dishwasher in our last 3 houses and they have been flawless. Our neighbor's wine and water glasses are terribly water stained and ours are crystal clear. The heating element is in-line and internal, so nothing can melt on the bottom rack. However, I just bought a new cutlery tray insert for our Miele dishwasher and that simple plastic tray was $90, about 6% of the cost of the dishwasher. But I don't think that's uncommon for spare parts, as that's where manufacturers highest profit margins are.

    Worst purchase I have ever made. Don’t believe the hype. if you get one of these you’re buying an expensive lemon. I paid a lot of hard earned money for a POS that lasted 3.5 years. Customer service after purchase is even more expensive and parts prices are astronomical. Do not under any circumstance get a miele dishwasher.
