    Thank you for the spray arm removal demo! Miele makes great appliances but terrible owner's manuals--couldn't figure it out on this newer model.

    I washed a full load of filthy dishes with the quick and intense cycle, and they were done in less than an hour and came out super clean and dry.

    After 18 months waiting, I'm finally getting a 7566 delivered this week. I reallllllly wish they had a pocket handle version for the G7000. Currently you'd have to buy a panel ready version and their $400 pocket handle panel to get one. This'll be my first dishwasher with a towel bar, so we'll see how many times my hip checks it lol

      First world problems

  • @fauguy23

    I bought my first Miele G4100 series dishwasher about 14 years ago. After 8 years the motor went out, and Miele wanted $200 to diagnose the problem, and then if it was the motor it was $500 part ans $400 labor. So I bought a new unit (also Miele) the G6625. Now at 6 years I'm hearing a loud noise from the motor when running, so it might be on the way out. I've looked at Asko but not a fan of their rack design. The new Miele G7000 series, the racks aren't as adjustable as mine, and not sure if having pastic water tubes inside of the wash cabinet is a good idea. Not sure why they did this. Maybe if they started to leak/break, the water will now stay inside of the cabinet instead if being outside and getting on the floor.

      My assumption was that the added depth from the AutoDos soap dispensing system required the feeds to moved inside instead of taking up space on the outside. Do (or did) you use the water softening system on the 6625? I’ve used it on all three of the Miele’s I’ve owned or used over the last 15 or so years and haven’t had any service issues. I wonder if it actually makes a difference in the reliability. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@appliancesexplained yes, both Miele units I've had the 4000 and 6000 series have a water softener. We are on city water, so I have it set to 6 grains. Last year before the 5 year warranty expired, they had to replace the lower and middle racks, as the coating was coming off (underneath) and started to rust. We use the Miele tabs (half a tab) and Miele rinse aid. I had heard from other people that the "last 20 years" is impossible on the units unless you do 2-3 loads a week. I do a wash load daily. So the 4000 series lasted 8 years and the circulation pump motor started to go out mid-wash and show an error code. Since it was so expensive to fix, I went to the dealer and they had this 6625 model for $1400 ($1700 normal) as it was a customer order that was cancelled. Just about 2 weeks ago started to hear a loud humming coming from the motor that wasn't there before, can hear it 20ft away. The part is $550. So I could order it and replace it myself, as a new unit Asko or Miele is $1400+.

    One of the benefits for the wifi would be loading up the dishwasher whenever you want and then scheduling it to start later. Maybe to start at a time when energy is cheaper or starting it later when everyone goes to bed.

    My $2300 Miele dishwasher is utter trash. Barely 5 years old and drain motor wouldn’t stop running with waterproof error.
    Replaced non return valve. Wasn’t the issue. Took out the drain pan. Bone dry. Replaced floater switch. Nope. Opened the controller board - bingo. The board burned out the plug (the 7 connector plug) connected to my drain motor. The motor refused to stop draining.
    Paid Miele $300 only for them to tell me it’d cost another $1200 to fix. Are you for reals??? They blamed me for user error. What the what??? How on earth do I burn out the controller board?
    Don’t buy Miele. They claim they have such great reliability but mine didn’t last 5 years. Trash. I threw out that $2300 paper weight and bought an LG.

    Thanks for the review. I'm looking to buy one. Do plastics come put dry?

    • @appliancesexplained
      @appliancesexplained  3 роки тому +4

      Not really. The heat of the final rinse is hot enough to get the glass and silverware really dry. Unfortunately, the plastics (by nature) don’t absorb the heat from the water enough to get them completely dry. This is the case for almost all dishwashers. The 7000 Series, does however, pop the door open a few inches at the end of the cycle. So, if you’re not in a rush to unload the dishwasher, or if you were to run the dishwasher before going to bed, the plastics would eventually “air-dry”.

    • @sixthangel9716
      @sixthangel9716 3 роки тому +1

      @@appliancesexplained I see. Thank you. I guess I can live with that if it dries the dishes. I just have to use plastics less.

    • @nhaukap
      @nhaukap 3 роки тому +8

      FWIW, I have an older generation of an upper-end Miele dishwasher model with features very comparable to this one here, the main feature being the auto door opens a couple inches at the end of the cycle. If you use the Extended Drying option with your wash cycle, it increases the temperature of the final rinse then a fan runs for a while after the door opens and it blows all of the water vapor/steam out of the unit. In my experience, this does a very good job of drying plastics, we use this option every time we run the dishwasher.

      @@williamhickerson4316 Mine is the G5975, but it's about 8 years old and has been discontinued/replaced by the newer models. Even though I just had to have it repaired for the first time (a pricey circulation pump), I chose to put the money into fixing this 8 year old machine rather than buy a new one. It's been an excellent dishwasher by all measures, worth the money in my opinion.

    Our fully integrated Miele dishwasher stopped working and Miele wanted almost 1k to fix it. I expect that the machine should
    last a lot longer. The reputation and quality for lasting 20 years is obviously false advertising and a bunch of baloney. You can’t get any deals on new machines and only Miele can fix them at absorbent prices. Very unhappy with their product and attitude

    • @appliancesexplained
      @appliancesexplained  2 роки тому +1

      Let me guess, the circulation pump? You can try and negotiate on the price of the pump to bring the cost down. If it’s less than 5 years old and you’re the first owner they typically give you a break on the parts cost. If not, replace it with a Cove.

      It’s not competition, it’s money in the executive and investor’s pockets that motivates making rubbish and a high price. GREED FIRST!
