- In today’s video I am doing a whole house cleaning! This is cleaning motivation for messy homes. Come disaster clean with me and get it all done! I had so much stuff to put back in its place, declutter trash for trash day and get the house together. My house was a complete disaster from neglecting to fully put stuff away and so the house got very messy. Enjoy this weeks cleaning motivation. While the house was all cleaned up I finally got a chance to get to some deeper cleaning tasks on my list in the next video! We are also officially on summer break here in Michigan and have begun our fun.

I have NEVER seen such judgemental people before. Guys, she a You Tuber. A content creator. She has to have a messy home or she would not have any content to show you. This is real life for her and her family. I appreciate this kind of content because when I don't want to clean I use content like this to get motivated.
Also what difference does it matter what her husband and her kids are doing or not doing? They may not want to be shown on video for whatever reason. There are a lot of weirdos out there so I applaud her for not showing her kids on video. They didn't ask to be in a video. You might see them but this is HER channel and she can choose who or what you see.
People are busy. Not everyone has a showroom ready home. Life happens. Stop being so damn judgemental.
Shawna (I hope I spelled that right), girl keep on doing you. Without your content there are days where I would never be motivated. Sometimes people (like me) need that little push to get things done. Keep on creating for those of us who appreciate the real and the raw from you.
@@darkhorse8413 she ought to feel ashamed for making money off this mess. And, more importantly, not teaching her kids to clean up after themselves. Money and "entertainment" will be long gone and these kids will face the world being the next money making slobs. I'm from a generation to say this is wrong, teaching us moms to kill ourselves to clean a house after the kids run free and the husband is exempt from cleaning. Then, we start calling it mental illness. Nope, you put it for out here, some of us, will not give out trophies. HER channel came up, I watched and I commented.
I know you’re on UA-cam, so you’re kind of putting yourself out there. But, I really hope you don’t take these negative comments to heart. I doubt any of these folks would walk into your home as a guest (which is basically what we are) and criticize the way you manage your home or your family. Also, as for your husband sitting while you clean…..again, would anyone complain if he was mowing the lawn or working on the car while you watched? My hubby has his job and his duties at home, and I clean and cook. If it works for you, that’s all that matters. Kudos on showing up to inspire those of us who need it knowing that you’ll have to weed through the judgement to reach us❤
Thanks so much! Appreciate you saying so, especially the home roles. In different circumstances we would do otherwise but regardless we do what works. I really try to not let them bother me so long as the positive people are enjoying and getting a real life look to be motivated that’s what I go for, I mean because each video is not this way ya know. ❤️

My husband doesn’t clean at alllll.and honestly i like it that way because he helps out in other ways.and i feel happy to know that he is happy in his home and not stressing himself out,if people don’t get that i just don’t understand in what world they are living in

One thing we do. My son has 2 assigned days on his chore chart for him to get his clothes washed. Chores are not paid. I do not touch his clothes. In the beginning he realized really quickly that he would have to wear dirty clothes or just do his laundry. We did start early he was in 5th grade and now at 13 i haven't touched them in years. On his chart he has 2 days he is in charge of dishes all day. 1 day he mops and one day he vacuums and sweeps 4 days. He cleans his toilet once a week and room everyday. My friend you gotta get them helping so your not so overwhelmed. We are NOT supposed to do everything!! Love your channel!! So proud of how far you have come.💜
Yes I love this! They do help to do things but sometimes we are busy and I also don’t do things so I hate leaving all the mess for them when I haven’t done it but they absolutely do chip in and are restored to come to me and help when I ask or give them a task. I am also not worried how perfect their room looks these days because I don’t clean that often but once a month I try to get it “better” clean but I try to leave them to it
@@MomLikely 💜 Please reach out if you need anymore ideas. I'm not perfect by any means. As we all learn and grow from each other. Oh for menu ideas. I have a list in my phone notes. So I list all the dinners ideas I know. We are a family of 3 but I noticed budget wise every 2 weeks is when I get groceries is good to manage. No other time unless it was something I forgot. But I go through my list on my phone and set aside enough dinners for 2 weeks. This includes gofers which are days momma does NOT cook. I put in my grocery order and that is what we eat. Like you mentioned in your video. It's always great to have easy meals that are staples. But once I cook dinner I check that dinner off my list. I don't put those dinners I choose in any order to give some flexibility. But we stick to those dinners. Snacks, desserts etc. once they run out it's done until that 2 weeks is up. Helps my 13 year old ration his snacks and not eat them up in one day. Every so often I look up new simple ingredient recipes to add to my list. Oh on OUR laundry I do the same as my son. I was towels and blankets one day a week. Bedding one day. And our clothes 2 days a week so I'm not washing clothes everyday. But it helps to declutter your clothes. Hope this helps my friend. 😊

I have been trying to wash a load per day but after a week it always falls to wash a bunch and fold it another or like do a few loads in a day and skip a few days. Definitely need to push everyone to reuse their towel at least once and I need to declutter the blankets. My youngest always go for some and I wash them because of the dogs or their hair 🙄

I use same towel for about 3 or 4 days and a different towel for hair but when grandkids are here gezz they won't use their towels more then once and kmg their room is horrible but I don't want them drinking anything but water in rooms when they leave omg I find all kinds of stuff sometimes tho they will pick up before they leave which is a big help for me I had chores for my boys growing up

I wash laundry as I have a load to do (usually daily), and once I’ve accumulated a few clean loads to fold, I reward myself by watching one of my favorite shows while I fold everything. It’s helped me to look forward to a task I used to dread.
I do enjoy folding while talking on the phone but I just recently signed up for Netflix and started a new show so I will be doing this! Great way to kill time a video or show.

Flip the light on early in the morning, get kids moving. My mama didn't play, growing up, we kept our house clean. Then, we played. We never woke up to a mess. Laundry was understood, you folded and put away. Cuz on the couch, should help you. My dad worked hard at his job, but he vacuumed and cleaned bathrooms. Then, we all loaded up to clean the church cemetery and church. You are too young to be abused by your family. No sense in this mess.

lol yes my silver trees stay out all year because I usually decorate for other holidays in the year but with the move recent I said I’m just doing the winter ones and not summer ❤️🤣 I would love those changing holiday house lights though to match the holiday all year

There is a product called LOMI, where you don't have to keep putting food waste down the disposal. Your food waste can be turned into fresh durt for your garden.
Well I'm gonna applaud you for letting your husband relax. Obviously alot of women don't have or don't understand what a blue collar man does day in and day out. I don't let my husband lift a toe on his ONLY day off. Your a rockstar wife baby!!
My husband and I have lots of conflict regarding this subject. I think I have been one of those wives that don't get it. But your comment helped and I am going to try and do better so I can be a rock star wife too 😂🎉
I love it. It’s really a lifestyle most don’t get unless they are knee deep in it. Even the blessings it can be taken wrong if unappreciated. I am currently not at the stress of worrying about a dollar and he still had “things” he likes to do here or arrange but the house is my shifts to maintain and also as I see fit but I do try and keep things in order but everyone has their days or busy times but we are not pointing fingers ❤️❤️❤️❤️ bless you momma
Yes it’s not easy always seeing and understanding another’s side. Especially if his. He henni worked full time all of us struggling to keep up was different but since he has the most financial strain to care for us and provide and puts in so many hours for us to be comfortable I take on the house as it’s my job. He will work 10- 24 hour shifts to make sure he keeps his job and secures not only our day to day but try and plan for our future and I’m grateful if he never does anything but he will back me if I say “tell the kids” as they don’t always understand and also if I ask for help he will help with what I need . I really hope if it’s a big conflict you can come to an agreement that’s an individualized arrangement amongst you based on your life and needs because that’s what matters not how society deems fit but on supporting and showing up for what one another needs. ❤️❤️❤️🤣
My daughter is the same way if she doesn’t like it she will literally not eat. Have you considered going on Pinterest with your girls and finding recipes that they would enjoy eating and cooking with you? Maybe seeing some pictures of the food with make them more interested and willing to try 🙂
My youngest loves to cook but she doesn’t like the food most times but maybe I should try getting them to choose. The one thing I haven’t made is homemade macaroni and I wanna make that with them .
I’ve done weekly menus for a long time and I always have a “leftover” day, Mexican food day, sandwich/soup day, “salad” day, pizza day and pick your favorite meal day. Even with just the two of us (kids grown) I stick to my menus. It is economical and so much easier than wondering what you are going to cook every day. I do menus on Sundays then shop for those meals on Monday. Adapt for your schedule. That has been my routine for decades and works super well. I enjoy your videos very much.
I love this! I agree it is so much easier to stick to a budget having a plan and I love the simple and tried and true menu. I need to include a pizza night. Have you ever did homemade pizza? I thought about trying it with the kids
Yes, I’ve had homemade pizza, it might even be a three dollar frozen pizza from Walmart, or it might be a really nice gourmet pizza from a shop. I try to keep things mixed up a bit so it doesn’t get so boring.
I also do a vegetarian night every couple of weeks or so.
And I forgot to add that we do breakfast for dinner every couple of weeks as well. I should’ve just looked at my menus and it would’ve been quicker than me just thinking about it and then remembering ha ha ha.
Yes I love a good breakfast for dinner. None of us ever eat much breakfast especially during the school year so cooking up breakfast in the evening is fun now and again. We usually do pancakes, bacon, whip cream and eggs

Thank you. I started watching this as a way to motivate myself before I try to clean my whole house. My house is currently in a grand state of "lived-in"! I suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. Doing anything is such a struggle. I'm also a single mom with a fulltime job, so things get away from me. I've tried to splurge here and there for a cleaning service, but the 2 occasions I did left me with subpar work and ultimately I still had to clean the house myself. Just being able to consistently stay on task and diligently go room by room is a mean feat for me. I appreciate you sharing. I'm feeling like maybe I can do it. I'm about to try and tackle it now. Fingers crossed!
I really hope you got some things accomplished. 🥰 cleaners are tricky because there’s deep cleaning and the. There is maintenance house work but pricing can be weird. If you’re struggling with time I recommend the zone cleaning method fly lady cleaning system. If that is still too complicated then category cleaning helps at least continue to keep things running. Tackle dishes, laundry, and grocery shopping first. Then surfaces, then floors and deep clean bathroom and get too all other tasks once you can. I hope you got something done and have a good weekend. 😊
Buy a durable storage shelf to put your groceries on, buy plastic containers to put your food in.

Also just wanted to mention one thing because I want to save you a possible hefty plumbing bill. I’ve been told by a few different plumbers that you should not use your garbage disposal for large amounts of food. They said to throw the bulk in the trash and what goes down the disposal should be as little as possible.
I actually talked to one plumber that said garbage disposals should be outlawed! lol!
Anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents because we had to learn the hard way.

If you're looking to maximize walking space through the dining area, you should consider doing banquet seating or even just a long bench along the wall between the registers, and that will shift the table and chairs over more to the left (looking from the living room). Then you'll have way more space to move through to the sunroom. Our kitchen is pretty small and we don't have a dining room so I've been looking at benches on Wayfair or considering having someone come build a banquet seat against one wall. Then when we don't need extra seating we can push the table over the seat and have more walking space and just use the chairs unless we have company over
Please be careful putting up wet items as that can draw bugs who come out looking for water. You did an awesome job as usual, really enjoy your videos! 😊

I was with you until you put the dog's bowl and stuff in the kitchen sink and began washing them with the same sponge that you used for dishes. I literally gaged.
lol they have their own. It weirds me out to. In the next video after that one you will notice that was the last time I used the sponge and then I used it to clean my oven the next day and tossed it. My favorite for their bowls and for my tubs are the dollar tree 3 pack sponge/scrub combo packs. Scrub mommy’s are too pricey IMO to use on everything but I love them.
Why is hubby not helping? He is just chilling on the couch watching tv. That’s so wrong

That dog needs its own dog bed. The last thing you want is your sofa to smell like a dog. You cant just pick up a sofa and put it in the washer. Your guest would most likely not enjoy smelling like a dog after they have sat on your furniture.
The guests don't live there.. her dog does. If a guest came into my home and had the nerve to complain about my dog, they can leave. This is my dogs home, as much as it is mine, and they will always come first. My dogs to on our bed, on our couch, in the car, anywhere they want, and I wouldn't have it any other way 💁♀️

I truly appreciate the real and raw version of a "clean with me" video. When I'm looking for a video that inspires and motivates me to clean, I'm definitely not interested in seeing someone's picture perfect home. That's fake and unreal. Real homes get messy... Sometimes mine looks like a tornado just hit it! I have 8 children and we homeschool so there is literally no time off. I try to stay on top of the cleaning but the reality is that we live here and it shows lbvvvs. Anyway thank you for allowing us to see a real life cleaning of your home. Hey, how are you? I hope you take the comment without getting upset. I don’t mean anything. You should talk to your children and get used to the arrangement. They have become very old. Do you have a knee on the ground and everything is stacked on the ground? You must have time for your home, which needs coordination, arrangement, and furniture items.
I wish I had everything in the house such as washer/dryer as I have to use the laundromat and have to do large loads as no point in paying a lot for a small load. Or trash bins so I don’t have to walk half across the complex, and a backyard for the dogs. Laundry and trash days are so tiring in this Arizona heat man!

The meat should be in the drawer where the drinks are that way there’s no cross contamination with the blood from the meat and you can line the drinks up in a row and have them on display. It gives the refrigerator a organized look and the girls can restock the fridge once the drinks are getting low.
In our household we do pick up every night before bed/wind down. So place is clean. And even if we don’t get the dishes wash we’ll put away food and clean table and put all dishes in sink.

The table is nice just get some chairs when you can and if you don't like the look of the table you can always paint it and also a big mirror would look nice on that wall between those two sconces 😊

I usually do not like light, blond, or cherry color wood floors, but I love your floors.
I have a induction stove top..if u use a scraper lightly on it it will lift all that gunk off..

One thing I would recommend is dust first bc small stuff is going to fall to the ground even if we can’t see it so then after u go behind and sweep,vacumm, then mop.

I’ve been a long time subscriber and I must say that I’m not understanding why your home is as mess as you show it. You have daughters are not toddlers that there is no excuse for how they keep their rooms and add to the mess in the home. Your showing your girls it’s ok to be this way when you yourself are that way! Is this all for content or your really this messy especially not working any longer.
Not for content but I share our real life situation. Many people may do better but I do my best. We also don’t only tend to the house. I also have a UA-cam channel so I don’t work outside of the house but I work from home. I don’t just film and the video is ready but I have to edit and make other digital works which takes away from cleaning.
Some people make the house show ready because they are paid to makeover the house and keep it so but I share our real life and don’t shove products everywhere im just sharing. My kids will know I try. I require that. This is my first time here and for some that is motivating.
I love your home. Do you like the idea of a round diningroom table? That makes it really easy to walk around and to have access to your screen room. I think a round table gives a nice flow to a room. I wish my dining room was big like yours, i would totally do a round table.
We did look but we want to eventually get a 6-8 chair table and it would be big in a round for that. It’s not off the table just looking for a good deal. Brand new tables are expensive at full price. We look at Facebook market often.

Not sure if you know this but it’s more hygienic to let your dishes air dry.
Well I’m in luck lol I use the dishwasher so I’m good there and at the old house I had a pan hanging hooks over the sink so they always drip dried so here I just wash the pans and dump them out.
