This, my friends, this is the essence of early 21st century comedy. Be that as it may, this relic has, unfortunately, never seen the popularity it deserves. May it rest in honor, to be referenced by niche friend groups for years to come. Not fading from our memories, and preserved in the unending archives of the ever-growing world wide web.

Mr. Parks, thank you so much for all those hours crafting the animation and for posting this, too. It's fun for me and my students and our year wouldn't be the same without it.
Thank you for the kind words! I wish it were higher quality and finished, but I'm thrilled that people are still watching it regularly. Keep up the good work teaching the youngin's!
THE Geography teacher here ~ great content, good laughs. I integrate it into my Canada unit for kids to identify all things that could be found there 😂 score one for Beluga whales!
my family has been watching this video for about 14 years now, any time we need a cheer up. even now, just saying "beluuuga" cracks us all up. i still show it to people now. thank you for the years of laughter
First time I heard this I was living with 2 visually impaired friends that were listening to this plus lots of Dr Demento and Bob Rivers stuff. Good old days I am glad I found this again. I hope they are doing well now missed them ever since I moved away.
A large group of people started quoting this video on Facebook today and it drove me crazy! So that's how I ended up here. This video drives me crazy too XD
I remember hearing this on the radio late night like in 1994 when I was like 13 or something and I've had bulbous bouffant stuck in my head ever sense and have never been right in the head either.
You and I are about the same age, but I don't think I heard it until I got the Dr. Demento 30th Anniversary collection. But agreed, I've never been right in the head.
similar age here too, also not right in the head. My dad introduced me to Dr Demento - I'm pretty sure he's where I get my not-right-in-the-head-ness from.
Heard this first when I bought a Dr. Demento CD because it had a couple Weird Al's songs on it! But having heard this, it's become an instinct classic! I love it when someone asks me a closed ended questions, I respond Nooo, the Eskimos! Or a BaluGA whale! Those enlightened by this recording catch it instantly, others just look at me and walk away w a pained, strained look on their face! I've even memorized this with my daughters, and make for a fun car ride as we roll along saying/ singing mukluks/placebo/blubber / blubber/blubber/ shindig
Same situation for me! I found the 20th anniversary collection on cassette and had to get it because I was already a fan of Weird Al so of course I'm going to love more funny music! And I did. I was with my mom and when popped it in the tape player when we got in the car. "Delicious" played and it was kind of awkward being with my mom. 😆 I'm glad you and your daughters have bonded over this nonsense. Woohoo!
For a simple short cartoon, you did a really good job. The differences in the three characters. I'm an English major and that was interesting for my ears. Thank you for your creation.
Thank you for the kind words! I can only take credit for the visual because the audio was done by a sketch comedy group years ago, which is obviously the best part of the video. I just did my visual interpretation of it with the skills I had 11 years ago.
My toddler children got stuck on the word "stupid" because they heard it and think it sounds funny. I'm glad this is still here so I can use it to redirect their attention.
A few minutes ago, someone said "Gazebo," so it was - of course - my pride and duty to introduce them to this masterpiece.
you did your duty. thank you.

This video is legendary
I've always wanted to be a legend. I can quit now.
This is an adult sesame street scetch if ive ever seen one
Puppets, baby!
My geography teacher showed this video to the class and everyone was dying of laughter, especially me. I love the guy just going "Macadamia"
OOOHHHH!!!!
I'm curious why your geography teacher showed this. Usually it's English teachers.
@@spejampar because she just shows our class anything and she wanted to show this because she got a good laugh out of it.
@@PartyMarty4212 I love that!
THE Geography teacher here ~ great content, good laughs. I integrate it into my Canada unit for kids to identify all things that could be found there 😂 score one for Beluga whales!
I remember hearing this skit for the first time waaaaaay back when I could barely understand a lick of english. It was... odd x)
I can only imagine what it sounds like to a non-english speaker! :)
My partner mentioned making mukluks and it turned out he'd only heard this up to blubber or so, not the full version. His delight made my year.
His delight makes my year too! Is he making mukluks by hand? Or has he created a cocktail called "mukluk"? ;)
my family has been watching this video for about 14 years now, any time we need a cheer up. even now, just saying "beluuuga" cracks us all up. i still show it to people now. thank you for the years of laughter
Thanks for spreading the love! Let's keep it going!
My dad first played this for me when i was 11. We were driving through wisconsin.
I hope you enjoyed it!
Best part about WI, the bulbous buffants
Definitely one of the most hilarious things I've seen, good job.
many thanks!
First time I heard this I was living with 2 visually impaired friends that were listening to this plus lots of Dr Demento and Bob Rivers stuff. Good old days I am glad I found this again. I hope they are doing well now missed them ever since I moved away.
Glad you found it!
10 years ago and you still get new comments on this video. That’s got to be some level of gratifying. :)
Very much so! It's very strange and satisfying to me. Thanks for being here!
I first ran across this nearly twenty years ago… I love words that feel funny in my mouth to say…
One time my 5th grade teacher showed our class this. Man time flies. I had just remembered this video and it is amazing.
Good teacher right there.
"HULLABALOOOOO"
still gets me everytime
I've listened to this for years. never seen a video, though. Dr. Demento played it on the radio a lot and I recorded it on a cassette! lol
I just eat ben's cookies "white chocolate and macadamia" so i remembered this epic video 16 years later lool . MACADAMIA !!
Macadamia will never be the same! ;)
A large group of people started quoting this video on Facebook today and it drove me crazy! So that's how I ended up here. This video drives me crazy too XD
in 4th grade our spelling test had all these words in it. i havent heard this song since then
ROCKING TEACHER YOU HAD!
I think about this every once in a while. Thank you.
You are very welcome. I think about it too.
I remember seeing this 5 Christmas's ago, and it still comes up as a memory I can't rid of, and I love it!
It should be a christmas tradition! The memory will live on forever (as it should)! ;)
@@spejampar I agree wholeheartedly!
Thanks for making this, this was always one of my favorite Dr. Demento things.
My pleasure! I loved listening to it on the anniversary collection!
This is one of the most pleasant videos on UA-cam.
Pleasant is my middle name. And you have a great first name.
I heard this the first time 15-16 years ago and it never gets old :D
I'm glad you and your daughters have bonded over this nonsense.
When that guys hair said “🥦”. I felt that
Any time I hear “blubber”, “macadamia” or “gazebo”, I start singing” blubber, macadamia, blubber, gazebo!”
And I would join in if I were there!
Hullabaloo
I haven’t seen this in at least 10 years. What a perfect video to rediscover at 2:45am
It's 3 35 am for me lol
havnt seen this in years
How is it?
My toddler children got stuck on the word "stupid" because they heard it and think it sounds funny. I'm glad this is still here so I can use it to redirect their attention.
There are definitely better words to highlight than "stupid"!
@@spejampar Certainly a plethora!
This is what people did for entertainment while waiting for things before phones.
I have been unaware of this for its sixteen years until now
Longer than that actually. This was on a radio show - Dr Demento! The comedy trio was then known as Radio Free Vestibule, sometime in the mid-1990s!
@@StrangeHistoricalThings So many years!
Used to listen to these guys on the radio back in the 80s, I always used to picture them in the Gazebo on Mont Royal in Montreal whenever I heard it.
oneguycoding The Dr. Demento show?
Pretty sure it was just on the CBC.
