I just build this after 30 years out of the RC game. It was frustrating, but boy can this thing shift and handle

Just built and ran the laydown at my local track (astro) and boy this things a weapon compared to my previous buggy (PR Racing) luckily I'm in the UK and parts for the laydown are both cheap and practically everywhere. I never thought the car would make such a big difference but this thing has so much front end grip.

Subbed. For me it was between the cougar laydown and the 6.2 ended up getting the 6.2 due to price, support and not having to spend another 100 dollars to get it to steer like the laydown. Here in RSA we race controlled tyres..meaning everyone race the same tyres on raceday. and we have no minimum weight limit.

Nice honest thoughts captured in a informative video. I love Schumacher cars, this year i switched my 2 wd to Associated (fear of parts issues with brexit over here in the Netherlands) and I will go back to Schumacher ASAP. The quality of the B6.2 is very poor compared to that of Shueys. The B6.2 works well on astro for me but the amount of play in the car drives me nuts.

The two reasons I don't run Schumacher are the prices in the US and part availability. I think their performance on turf and carpet is almost unmatched

@@RoachRC even over here in Europe Schumacher cars are more expensive than the competition. Associated is the cheapest A brand over here and the Associated cars are good without a doubt.

Below some footage of my old Schumacher KF2. It feels different on the track, probably has to do with front end geometry.

You seemed to like the TLR as well? Too bad Horizon pretty much gave up on Europe, nobody runs TLR over here which is a shame.

@@mvbracing That KF seems pretty dialed on that track. Cool track too. Didn't know Horizon wasnt popular in Europe

@@RoachRC TLR parts are not available in hobby stores over here allthough one shop has taken it back into their catalogue. Also in the 1/8 class i recently started in i have not seen a TLR yet. It is a shame since their stuff looks great. My last TLR was the 22 2.0. Loved that car on clay tracks.

Check your top front screws, the left one was loose in the video. Good luck with the car.

orange paint is the lightest pigment to use as far as weight goes believe it or not. Ever wonder why the fuel tank on a NASA space shuttle is painted orange? For that exact reason, to save weight.
