So every Sunday, I go to a retirement center and lead a communion service. We meet in a lounge and 14 Catholic residents attend (after we have doughnuts, or what our Pastor says is the 8th sacrament). We used to have to use a small laptop screen to display UA-cam to pull up hymns so they could sing. Hard to read with older eyes. Now this lounge just purchased a large smart TV so I will be able to display your hymn singing on a large TV. This is so meaningful for those who can no longer drive and get to a physical church! That is why I love lyrics displayed on the screen. (When I type out song sheets for them, they get a bit confused as to what paper to look at). Now they can just look at the screen and sing.
Thank you for sharing this, and thank you so much for your beautiful service to the Church! We are delighted that our videos have been a blessing to you and the residents you serve. We will be adding more videos with lyrics over the next few days, so be sure to keep an eye on the newest uploads to our channel. Here is this particular hymn, with lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/mTBZAWMBjWA/v-deo.html
opening Hymn often for us believers at St. Stephens Church on Genesee street in Toledo Ohio . My mom taking her 5 children to Sunday mass. Donuts later if we were good :)
that is terrific, because the residents really enjoy singing. Prior to my coming on board they used to just do a dry reading of all the prayers and the reading from the Bible. But now that they can actually interact and engage with different streaming masses, they really seem to enjoy this and I think this is very meaningful for them, especially since they no longer can go to a physical church.
We would love to discuss this with you in more detail. Would you mind sending us an email to info@catholicmusicinitiative.org so we could have a way to contact you?
Praise to the almighty that he give you to the talent some to sing and some to be a musician. The girt who is the top singer from your band. She have got a good voice and i am little bit jealous to her of her sweet voice. Still then God almighty who gave a gift is a gift to her song to be sweet . So i blessed that her song to be blessed by the God almighty Jehovah. Song goes so sweet so good and so fine while you are singing. And it is well done and keep it up in singing Christians song. May the God almighty be with you all take care after you on earth as long as you have a life to lived on earth. Amen hallelujah praise the Lord God almighty and Jesus Christ our savior yeshua the beloveded son of God almighty Jehovah. Amen. Amen. Amen.
are used to print out song sheets for them to hold but what I’ve discovered when I observe them, is it too difficult to look at the music sing along and then read the lyrics, trying to figure out which page they be on, which song she should they be reading from. So having the lyrics right on the screen and seeing the musicians in the song leaders saying is just more streamlined for them, and they can just look at this large TV now and sing. It’s amazing how much we don’t realize in terms of little things that could cause problems for the elderly until or we are in that space. So now I’m fully aware and I’m trying to make it as easy for them as possible.
We are so grateful that you took the time to share this with us. You are the reason why we do what we do. We agree, there is often a lack of attention to the little things, and our mission is to address those little things to serve people. Thank you so much!
Hate to be that guy. But why try and make this song upbeat? Our world needs Sacred Music. Music that will touch them deeply. That is what our Faith teaches people. To get in touch with Jesus on a deep level.
Why should people getting "in touch with Jesus on a deep level" not be deserving of an 'upbeat' representation? Think about the story of the Prodigal Son. I'm pretty sure God is big enough to accept different forms and interpretation of worship from His own creation, including how that worship is expressed through music.
@@pjackson2198 When you sing this song as it was traditionally sung, slow and sacredly, you focus on the words and what you are praying and who you are praying too rather than tapping your feet and being distracted by the people, drums, singers, etc in this video... The world has lost touch with what "worship" actually is... it isn't just singing or lifting our voices to christian songs, it is a deep reverence, awe, adoration and fear of the Lord. That is what we need in the world, music that leads people to that.
i have loved this hymn alll my life. My childhood parish was named Most Holy Trinity.
Outstanding performance with the old styled Anglican singing style...🎉
Praise God. THE FATHER THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. HOLY TRINITY PRAY FOR HUMANITY.

And thank you for the heart :)
My mother played the organ for our church. She passed away a few years ago. This song reminds me of her. So beautiful it hurts 💗 1:32
Just amazing🙏🏿
Wooow!!! Amazing and joyful, and her face shows peace and happiness.
This is truly a song worthy of praise to OUR KING. He will be pleased by the beauty of the gift of song.

Fantastic
Wish there were lyrics on the screen so the retirees I lead mass could read them/sing along.
