I dreamed a yacht, to sail the sea, to see you around. Share sailing skills, enjoy the beach, the surf, home cooking and smiles. Watch the sun go down, hug you hello, and kiss you goodbye. Brandy! your narrative brings it alive, Merry Xmas.
Hi Beau and Brandy, I have followed you for many many years and of all the episodes I’ve seen this episodes about “ hidden realities“, is the best you’ve ever done. Your descriptions of life are actually applicable to anyone. You’re writing is very poetic and thought-provoking. Thank you so much for doing such a great job with this. Keep up the good work.
We just spent 565 ish days on anchor throughout the Caribbean and have watched UA-cam sailing channels for almost two decades…This is BY FAR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THE REALITY OF SAILING LIFE !!! Well done ! 👏
Beau needs to show more of his DIY! Haters are gonna hate. Beau puts a realistic spin on his projects. He does not sugar coat the effort required. I know that if I do something it is going to go wrong at least once and take twice as long as anyone else. Beau rocks!...you to Brandy.
great video. Not a sailor but my wife says life is not boring being married to me. We travel to remote locations, live in a cabin in the forest, snow during the winter, wildfires during the summer. For those that like a boring life great, We preferer life to be an adventure.
just want to say thank you for entertaining us every week with your videos of your travels...wishing you both a Merry Christmas and a safe and fun 2025 😃😎
That was very well put together with great narration and plenty of archived footage. Really blowing the dust off and clearing the air for your next adventure!
It was very honest coverage of the challenges, downsides, & how simple mainland tasks become complex on a boat. I need to hear that. You balance that well with the compensations that come if you move through each problem. It's food for thought. Thanks!
Thank you, very informative and you do a wonderful job narrating. It's good to hear all aspects of the boat/cruiser lifestyle & experiences. ❤😂🙄🤩 ~love from Michigan~
I love this episode. It helps to remember why we do this while we're hauled out and the tasks seem endless. With a year(ish) out of the water, reminders like this one really help.
One of the things I really like about your boat is it is small enough to be relatively easily handled . I know of a few very comfortable boats fiends have that are too big to dock without crew
Ups downs highs lows panics great days and the we are all going to die days. But the great days out do the bad ones. If you love it and prosper that is the life for you.
Hey Brandy (and Beau), I can see YOU do a lot of work into editing. Very interesting and useful perspective on the sailing lifestyle. Once again, I really enjoyed your video
Y'all really made me feel better today with all the years we spent with y'all. All the inspiration y'all give ( Bought motorhome 5 years ago because of y'all ) 😁 and not a year goes by that y'all don't take the bull by the horns and make a life worth living with us!!!! Brandy getting bit by horse mosquitoes 🤣🤣 sorry Brandy!!! Love y'all keep safe and merry Christmas. JQ
Interesting video. However, before I started sailing long distances, I'd make sure I sailed well enough to be able to sail (without an engine) right up along side a dinghy that got away and pick its painter up with a boat hook. Not being able to do that and having to have someone jump in the water to swim to go get it bodes even WORSE for man-overboard situations! YIKES.
@@emilybh6255but sometime you just have to go for it! It’s a problem when issues give sailors a bad name but if we didn’t have adventurers nobody would have found America🤷♂️
And the one subject you left open, or untouched, "life with a partner".. As one who did think about it, I quickly discovered, a single sailor, has way more issues and concerns than couples.😢 It brings sailing to a whole new experience... Singles can't do a lot of sailing! Need more time to do everything. Spend more time in Port than on the open sea for sure... A sailor life is best spent as a couple for sure..
We provisioned a bareboat charter out of Honolulu Bay. Left a driver's license at the supermarket and pushed 2 carts over a mile back to the marina. While the crew stowed everything, 1 person ran the carts back to the supermarket.
Our first and last trip was from Ft Pierce to Hampton Va and back. It was so stressful for me. Not for my Navy SEAL hubby. Ummm yeah it was. He can fix anything so that helps. Having our dog on board who didn’t potty for 50 hrs added more cortisol to my bod. Chatting w you Brandy while we were near Satellite Beach was an added plus. St Ritz is for sale. In ft pierce. She’s on the hard. Ready for new owner. Sad. We bought 7 acre ranch house in central Fl. Somebody buy our boat.

Oh wow! Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing, this has to be hands down one of the best boat life videos I have watched in years.
Watching you two over the years, the one thing I think is so important is your ability to adapt to whatever come at you.
You said it.... Home is where you find peace...
It's moving! We just started to build our boat life plan and this video is really a must see...! Thank you.

Thanks so much for this one! We'll be starting our adventures in just a couple months.
It was very honest coverage of the challenges, downsides, & how simple mainland tasks become complex on a boat. I need to hear that. You balance that well with the compensations that come if you move through each problem. It's food for thought. Thanks!
I know all of the feelings that you just portrayed, And it never got old. Each new day was a different adventure.
Exactly!!
Best episode ever
Poetic yet profound!!!
Nice change, words matter. A story lived and shared.

LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE
Lovely video. All of the best and Merry Christmas from Albertinia South Africa.
Sois los que mostráis la realidad de navegar a vela, o al menos los que más me recordáis tiempos pasados en lugares inolvidables.
Ups downs highs lows panics great days and the we are all going to die days. But the great days out do the bad ones. If you love it and prosper that is the life for you.
I love how you keep it honest, showing the good and the bad of sailing.
It's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. 😊
Sooo accurate. Great video, loved it 🫶
I really enjoyed this episode. It’s inspiring and the true nature of sailing
Nice video You made so many good points. Keep up the good work.

Perhaps as a subtitle, this outstanding piece is “An Ode To Sailing”.
lovely video! GJ captain!
Thanks for sharing
That's a nice video. Thanks! Love it.
Thanks for sharing !
Very informative. May God continue to bless you
Thank you so much!🙏
Interesting video. If that situation is a Yikes moment for you, maybe you should consider not sailing.
@@dobrodaddy2850 I made the comment because I've been sailing since I was 6 years old. I know what I'm talking about.
