not even an international student haha but omg im thinking of applying to LSE to do the exact same degree as Maëlle! would it be possible for you to interview her about her degree at some point as not many student vids on it? x

Hi Jem, I was planning to film with Maelle at some point again actually so will definitely ask her about her course as it is a little niche!

I have a longer Q, but please respond I’d be so grateful. As an international student I worry about the time frame of applying and accepting. Because only in England do you get answers so quickly. So lets say that I apply for top schools in London, good schools in other countries, and «safe»/backup schools in England. Scenario: i dont get accepted in top London schools, but I do get an offer from uni of birmingham, exeter etc. However, I’d rather go to CBS etc in other countries. Q: other countries gives you their answer much later than english schools. And as I’ve understood it, english offers has a time limit for accepting it or else it will get withdrawn and offered to someone else. Thus, accepting uni of exeter etc (backup schools) and then getting offers from better schools elsewhere would suck. How do I best approach this? Whats your advice? Can I choose to be offered a spot later on in the spring or extend my acception time? Hope you understood my dilemma, Thanks for help.

I think once you've recieved all your offers, you have until the 4th of June (I think it is) to respond to which will be your firm and insurance. In regards to other countries, I'm not too sure about when their deadlines are but I would work towards the UK deadlines if you are mainly interested in studying here. Also, it wouldn't hurt to email UCAS or specific universities to ask for more support once you've recieved your offers.
      All the best x

Hi! Yes so you can firm and insure your top choices for UK universities in Spring. Then you don't need to do anything else until you receive your exam results. When you firm and insure your choices for the UK you are only saying that if you get the grades you might want to go there. Up until you start at the university you can withdraw your application and UK students won't know where they're going for university until late August (after their results day). The 'firm and insure' process does not tie you into anything. So when I applied to the Netherlands first time around, I firmed and insured UK universities even though I was either going to the Netherlands or taking a gap year. You just reject your offer on UCAS once you get your final school results. Hope this helps!!
