- Don’t think we can trade a Casio G-Shock up to a Rolex? We’ll, we already succeeded...
At least at getting the first trade. If you watched our very own Natalie’s watch collection video ( • Natalie's Watch Collec... ), you know that she started a trading game. She wants to use her first watch, a white G-Shock, to start trading up to progressively more expensive pieces. This is nothing new. In 2006, Canadian blogger Kyle MacDonald traded his up from a single paperclip (yes, it was red!) to a house. It took him just 14 trades over the course of a year to do it! When you consider that feat, transforming a Casio into a Rolex watch or better doesn’t seem that hard to do!
The main two questions to answer in all of this are:
1) How many trades will it take for this to happen? And
2) How long will it take Natalie to do it?
Right off the bat, she hit the ground running, getting a trade for a Seiko 5 Sports on day 1! We added a poll about this in our Community Section, asking people whether the second trade should be an Omega Mission to Pluto or a Tissot PRS 516.

It’s for a boxer named Gennady Golovkin. He is known by his nickname "GGG" or "Triple G", is a Kazakhstani professional boxer. He has held multiple middleweight world championships, and is a two-time unified champion, having held the IBF title since 2019 and the WBA (Super) title since April 2022. So he isn’t Ukrainian:) but he is a top level boxer from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿:)

My boys face at 30:56 after my man said I don’t gash people was the look of someone wanting whatever “they” can get out of someone. Lesson today is ****Never be a customer and mention what you think something will cost to someone selling you the service or business**** You never know there intentions. But I understand when dealing with jewelry it’s a money game and eventually everyone who does business with you becomes a dollar sign. Great for Steve seeing the story behind that watch over the business side and keeping it honest.

Ok I’m sorry. I have to complain about this video. DLC is applied via PVD, but not all PVD is DLC. This is a common misconception and point of confusion in many industries. Proper DLC is very tough, whereas PVD only tells you the application method, not the compound(s) being used.

I love what Carlos said about not buying a watch it was a gift from a family member it really touches me my stepfather who is 95 just gave me a watch he didn’t wear the watch he knew I wanted to watch and he went out and he bought the watch 95 so he’s blind can’t see you can’t walk so he had someone get it but they got it they sent it to me because he can’t come see me and I can’t go see him because of medical issues and when I got it and someone said will you gonna sell it I said I don’t care if I’m living on the streets again as long as I can keep this watch safe it will show you my love that he gave me over my life time with him. And that secret never ever should be taken for granted. Also now I have to find out with that guys watch that you guys help them fix looks like so often more videos. That hulk is not DLC, and I don't think it is actually a PVD or even AVD process, It looks like a Black Chrome plating, which is a solution electroplating process. The clues are the amount of wear on the watch, the pattern of the wear, and the age of the watch. Big smooth worn areas like those are typically the result of a softer material like an electroplated material wearing through, like the gold plating on a cheap watch. The Black Chrome is chrome which is a very hard materrial, but also thin, and nowhere near the abrasion resistance of DLC. DLC is practically bomb-proof, it was developed as a coating for industrial cutting tools like high speed endmills that chew through steel all day long. Desk wear is not going to wear through DLC like that. Well, I guess I should preface with what Carlos said "In my opinion".

People aren't just getting screwed over with fakes they are having their soul ripped out. I was gifted a Submariner from my Division for my retirement while on a Port Visit in Dubai (UAE). I thought it was real for years until I took it in for a cleaning and service at a Rolex Boutique. I felt my soul leave my body when I got that call. It came with a box all the paperwork, brand new even.
These fakes are getting really good, they're even able to fake the paperwork
