Do I have to scan the QR code in the first step? Can I enter mywebAR then scan the image without the QR code?

You always should scan the qr code first, this us the only way for your camera to understand the code

What everyone is worried about is if we have to go to a website for the animation to work or can everyone use their built in camera for it to work

Firstly you need to scan the QR code and after go to the browser, no apps needed

If you have this message you need allow camera access on your phone (check browser settings). Sometimes phone denied access automatically because of the security.

Sure! Open your project, go to settings (left side menu) and first block is your URL (called General Settings)

Check the event source on your 3D models. Sometimes it’s becoming empty after a lots of saves

The QR code is generated by the AR Web where you create the card, in the case of the tutorial it is done with "MY WEB AR". The person who scans the code will redirect you to the URL of the project you created and by authorizing access to your cell phone's camera they will be able to see the AR...... Best regards.
