I'm surprised to find such an unbalanced corporate commercial on a YT channel that heretofore seemed aimed at ethical journalism. I hope it was worth it.
Why did you feel it wasn't balanced @8camplethargic8? I addressed the criticism from the media, mentioned Tesla's own design team wasn't crazy about it, mentioned less range than promised in 2019 and higher pricing, even showing a chart detailing the comparison so it was all out in the open. Are those critiques not enough? Of course I had to describe the innovative aspect as stainless steel is a completely different design and that deserves attention.@@camplethargic8
8000 views ? this is so well produced thought i was watching cnbc
@@Newsthink The imbalance is in your paean to Elon Musk, "visionary maverick".
Furthermore:
"Criticism of the media" in the form of often discredited Jim Cramer? Please.
Innovation? Stainless steel was used in the DeLorean beginning in 1981 (albeit not cold-rolled). The inspirational Lotus Esprit is from 1976. Unibody, and monocoque, vehicle designs are not new, although their use in a 6800 lb, super powerful vanity truck that will annihilate conventional vehicles in an argument 2:25 , is new.
I just subscribed, very nicely done. Thank you!
Maybe people hate it because it is a pedestrian killer. It has poor visibility, like very poor. In combination with very sharp edges and the claim of being indestructible. There used to be a gentleman's agreement about cars being crash compatible with each other, as well as other traffic participants. This design violates it in every possible way.
That's what I am also saying. So people think tanks should be on the road doing 75 mph and think that's acceptable? This throws away decades of safety improvements in vehicles. It's irresponsible
Not just pedestrians, also the passengers. All the shock from the impact goes straight to them.
@@xXYannuschXxyou realize Tesla/spaceX make the safest cars and spaceships on the planet right?
@@mitchelljagg I realize you havent watched the Cybertruck crash test.
@@xXYannuschXx And you are just repeating what some "specialists" put out on UA-cam.
Tesla produces the safest cars out there and that's just a fact.
They also issued a rating for the Cybertruck. So you really think they would do that if they think they would miserably fail it?
Btw there is no need for them to get an official rating and they still bothered to issue one.
For me this doesn't look like they don't know what they do, it just looks like the propaganda against Tesla that was out there for years.
Btw. it's easy to hate on things that are unpopular and way more work intensive to educate yourself to understand why something is getting hated.
It's your choice to decide which path you want to go down.
I bet Elon Musk can design a stainless steel bulletproof toilet seat shaped like a hexagon and still convince people to buy it.
He would just draw a shitty doodle and then a REAL engineer would design everything, just like they do now.
That cuts you when you sit on it and has a lever that sticks in the down position.
Didn’t you see the video? Franz Von Holzhuasen designed it.
Does not support adult human weight. May provide slicing hazards to any exposed body parts. Rusts when wet. Is not bulletproof.
'Aww man the Tesla cyberpooper is the best thing ever!'
I love how the cover of that most important part of any ute/ truck, the load space, has a heavily sloping cover, tapering off to the rear.
An absolutely brilliant,(not) design feature.
This was an about video, it has nothing to do with the question in the title and doesn’t explain why people hate it and then it’s just rounded off by some lame ad
Aren't cars designed to dissipate energy and provide better safety for passengers? that car is a death trap for passengers and other drivers. Insane.
incorrect, reading into what BS Telsa's competitors put out there will get you no where
@@infinitehexingtonBeing an Elon fan boy will get you nowhere.
@@randomname4726 "Oh but we do hate it. Very much" I assume you have the ignorant mindset that anyone who doesn't hate the Tesla like you is some Elon fanboy, and I thought the cavemen went extinct
@@infinitehexingtonabsolutely not. Crumple zones are exactly what makes passenger vehicles safe. They absorb energy instead of directly transmitting it to the driver and passengers. The Cybertrucks crash test looks more similar to the cars built in the 50s and 60s than it does to cars built today.
The Cyberrust is equivalent to OceanGate submersible
This is going to be a MASSIVE sales flop. I give it 3 model years tops before it's canceled.
In most countries it will never be available due to its lack of safety.
@@konstruktivismuskonstru9360At least those countries will be spared having to look at this hideous monstrosity.
pretty sure it has about 2 millions PRE-orders already buddy
@@infinitehexingtonPre orders aren't actual sales. Those orders were collected when the truck was priced at $39,000. Now that it starts at almost $61,000 I'm sure a lot of those orders have been cancelled. That's what happens when the CEO over-promises and under delivers. Musk is notorious for that. Missing about 20% of the promised range sure isn't helping anything either.
@@brandons9138 it's not only double in price, but also half in range. And it rusts in rain and get's stuck offroad ;-)
Cybertuck looks like it was designed by a 5-yr old learning how to draw using a ruler.
It's because it was designed by a manchild, Elon Musk.
@@cyruslupercal9493 explain.
where are these disgusting hate comments coming from? this video literally went in depth yet people still turn a blind eye
@@infinitehexington Fr
@@infinitehexingtonThese people are just blindy throwing out hate comments because Elon Musk made it. The least they could do is provide effective criticism instead of hating on the guy for no reason.
I really hope this is not what the future looks like
I really do. I kinda love this car
womp womp, grow up old head
Don’t worry it isn’t.
I originally wanted Cybertruck primarily for the 500-mile range, so I'm glad there's a 470-mile option. Still, the rumored price of $96k ($80k + $16k for range extender) is pretty steep.
More like 100 miles the moment you tow something😹😹😹😹
At $18 a gallon equivalent
$18 a gallon? Please enlighten us with your math
@@ilovepinktacos Pretty simple.
@@ilovepinktacos Dont feed the trolls.
Great video. Super fast cut with same day footage and up-to-date commentary. Very well done.
If i look at it, none of the haters are wrong.
Wedgetruck is an overpriced display of cringe. Luckily it has massive headroom for the drivers enormous head.
It's so bad they had to make it bulletproof!
Maybe pick up trucks haven't changed much because they are the perfect design?
2:10 nothing to copy but a 5 year old’s drawing on the fridge
Honestly the cybertruck defeats the purpose of what a truck is supposed to be
He was designing a car for Mars ... Then he decided to make an Earth version.
That's not true. Elon designed a prototype to test early the feasibility of new systems. A Mars Car isn't even on the drawing board yet or more accurately, on a CAD screen. The Cybertruck was an experiment which became popular as an Earth vehicle. I doubt a vehicle on Mars will even have wheels.
@@PlanetEarth3141 ... So you think wheel wouldn't work on Mars?! ... You know there are already vehicles on Mars!
We know petrol won't work. And paint may not last because of the radiation ...
Musk has to be the dumbest "smart guy" on the planet.
The earth version, like Starship is the development prototype.
all i ever see is hate from this car but i like it and i might be the only one to like it idk
It always happens every time something new comes out, and then people praise it for being iconic years later never made sense
This will never be praised by rational people.
@@randomname4726 So Jay Leno, a figure who is an icon in the automotive community, isn't rational?
@@Randzenot regarding this garbage, no.
@@Hgoenge81 and what do you drive exactly?
It “almost” amazes me, that people historically speaking still can’t see beyond the norms and rules we’re given. Yet, many want to taste something different and unique, but when shown the possibilities of something, some people just can’t differentiate between a uniquely potentially better stand alone product Vs. the usual establish quote. They call hilarious now, just to become a benchmark later on. I like the Cybertruck. But to each their own. 😉
The Musk cult is not better than the Trump cult,
but to each their own.
I don't know about everyone. I love it
I'm curious whether Tesla will create anything similar to cyber truck later in the future.
Cyber Truck Mini™
Cyber van
Sooooo.....when does the video stating why people are wrong come out?
I get terrified driving past a cyber truck because if it hit me my car would fold like a piece of paper
The only thing I dislike is for 61k you get 250 miles while other competitors have 400 miles with same or slightly higher price.
Different doesn't mean useful. Good first principles are not needed in just engineering, but in the product placement as well
Super rigid steel with sharp edges... if it hits something, they get erased?
Yes but every other tank-sized SUV and Truck can decimate whatever they hit also.
Saucer lands, they lose, you Win!
everyone laughed at the Prius when it first came out. But in this case, I think the Cybertruck will not prove to be as visionary as the Prius, unfortunately.
Well, it'll be very popular with gangsters.
The % Price Increase is not the same as Food, Medication, Home Supplies, Clothing, or mostly Other Vehicles within that same Period.....
Best animation information how to steel more strong
"A Toy for Elon Fanboys" is a perfect description
How could everybody hates it it’s not even out yet.
Because Elon bad and EV car bad obviously
@@justapleb7096
Plus they just love to send thousands of dollars every year to the already filthy rich people (ironically often Muslim) abroad.
I also suspect that none of them has ever been forced to scrap their car because the rust has gone too far...
Everyone hated it when the first pictures started circulating online, but I think a lot of people have changed their minds
Virtue signaling
because it is too heavy, inefficient, disregards all safety needs, ugly and expensive.
No the normal cars are made from allows to have crunch zones, so you don't kill others if you drive into them. That's why this care will never be allowed in Europe and it is a death trap for yourself if you locked in - batteries malfunction and door does not open and the battier burns good luck if not even can be open from the outside.
I have no idea as to the market acceptance of this product, but the process and man behind it reek of arrogance.
I bet the cost for repairing it, is plenty special too.
I'd buy a cybertruck one day
Remember the '68 Stingray when it first hit the streets?
I was a Kid and later had one for 20 years after my Uncle told me I would have one, one day.
I was 14. My first Car. 435 HP.
Great vid. Who hates the cybertruck?? It's awesome. Whether it's commercially successfully is in question, but it's still awesome.
Me. I hate the cybershit.
@@konstruktivismuskonstru9360bro really can't stand it
I hate it. It's a terrible vehicle in so many ways.
Because we are in the right time yet for these kinds of ugly cars. When cars fly, then we would reconsider.
My only problem with the cybertruck is how expensive it is
If it comes to the original price of $69k for tri motor. I’ll buy it in a heartbeat.
That's what I😍 call a futuristic vehicle
It reminds me of an el Camino.
Wish they still.made el caminos
I can totally see my dad-bod , wearing a cowboy hat going to drop my toddler to school in this. 😂
If jim cramer says don't buy a cybertruck... you buy 6
Just buy a Refurbished DMC-12 and clip on a Wagon Trailer to it instead. You'll have way more Fun and Reliability than riding in this right now.
Shame cybertrucks off the road. Awful vehicles that will kill you if you get into any type of accident with them.
This is great, Cindy! I still do not understand the concept of Air Bending?! Can you elaborate that in a future video?
Reminds me of the Simpson show where Homer's brother has Homer designing a vehicle.
Thought you might enjoy this from Rest Day Rider - Santa Baby, Slip something Bike related under the tree, for me !
Would love to see a Christmas Day video 🎅
That thing looks so retro, and the inside is pretty dim. Unless you like sterile empty space w/a video panel interface for, everything? which probably means that w/o it you cannot use the car's features. Will it drive without screen?
Its not hate its being realistic. The top model costs 99,000 dollars and only tows 11,000 lbs
The future was here and left when they announced the price and range
That thing is armored so probably that’s why it’s like a military truck
What was the answer to the thumbnail? Why does everyone hate the cybertruch? Personally I dislike it and Musk himself, but did I miss the answer?
Get on the Titanic with Gordon Johnson, and go down with the ship!!!!
2 reasons
Reason number one: It's electric.
Reason number 2: It looks weird.
If it looked like a Ford F-250 it would help. The electric thing hasn't caught on yet. People are reluctant to adopt new technology. I'm going to get a stand up electric scooter because that's what I can afford right now. I can't afford anything with a gas powered engine. I would get a Honda if I had the money.
imagine how much this thing weighs
Not aero dynamic? This will create a lot of wind resistance its quite ulgy too.
so much for "natural rust resistance"
Ya gotta love Elon's attitude. He creates what he wants, the way he wants.
....and flushes billions down the toilet. you shouldn't love that.
Fast forward FOUR years later. . .
i love that "why not" line when asked why make it bullet proof. thats why i like that elon he always asks why something CANT be done then sets out to do it.
So you like needless and useless features with many negative side effects? Why not. This is such an unreasonable and childisch answer and more than reason enough not to buy this shit.
Elon is a con artist who continously lies to keep Teslas stock price artificially high. He is a moron.
😂😂 ugh why not just buy a tank if you need something bullet proof?
What normal person needs something bullet proof? This is just for people who fantasise about being badasses getting shot at.
Withstand bullets? I only see hand gun and Tommy gun but no one use a 50Cal?
But who owns a 50 cal lol
@@Shawn-ho6de it's not about who owns a 50cal. If he's hyping up he's product talking about how it's bullet proof and then using bow arrows and Tommy guns with no armor piercing rounds how can you take him serious. Elon should put his money where his mouth is and use a 50cal. He's rich enough to get one
@@golden5522uuuh most mine protected military ifv's can't even stand a 50cal, from side on most even apc's would possibly get penetrated by a 50cal

I don't hate the Cyber truck!
Cool idea looks kinda cool, fails at being a truck. Small bed, very little ground clearance, attempting to tow anything would wreck the battery range
To be fair, towing with any vehicle will decrease it's efficiency.
@@sethjansson5652No shit Sherlock. It's WAY worse for battery electric vehicles.
It’s actually a big bed, ground clearance is great about 16inches, only thing it does underperform is in towing range
The Cybertruck has all the benefits of a traditional pickup but none of the drawbacks. This will become a global success!
If only that was true
Lemow
It has a bed shorter than a Honda Acty kei truck from 1999, got embarassed by a Subaru off-road, and gets completely bricked by going through a car wash.
Cybertruck is a prototype for some military contract. That is why they pushed the envelope so far
No it's not
The truck is great in everything, the only people who don't like the truck is the ones that can't afford it.... Stay safe... My friend.... Big hug. From Portugal...
Nice cope there buddy. Lots of us can afford this monstrosity but would never dream of owning such an ugly, terrible vehicle.
I think they look cool asf, at first I was thinking the hype will die down because they will take ages to reach full production, but it was announced like 4 years ago and people are still excited about it
None of Musk's promises as far as price, range, charging speed, launch date, exoskeleton... have been met.
neither the self-driving capabilities.
Because musk is a con man
The historical pattern is that "bold design statement" cars sell like hotcakes the first model year and eventually reach a point where everyone who wants one, has one and sales nosedive. AMC Pacer, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Hummer H2 all went through this. I predict the Cybertruck will be no exception, there are enough Tesla fanboys who've been waiting for years to keep it buoyed up through the first few hundred thousand units but after that it's an open question.
everything changes over time so every 50 years even the cars.. that it was not something unexpected for me to see an era of square cars.. but it's still a shock first time when you see it😅
This design affects me the same way the Toyota Prius affects me..🤮🤮🤮🤢
I love the cybertruck
I don’t understand the psychology behind being angry about something just because it’s not available to you. It’s like the men that hate women because they can’t get laid.
🤦♂️ they keep talking about trucks and compared it with a F350.
They are also aiming for the people that buy work trucks. This is not what people who buy work trucks need.
It costs to much for the amount it can tow and haul.
I hate it because it's ugly and bad, and Elon sucks hard.
Tesla should make Cybertrucks from Starships that are in the Garden.

Wouldn’t you be “Brilliant” if you had mentioned the Inflation adjusted price from 2019…. P.s. and the I.R.A. $ 7,500 rebate and the fact that a 2 million reservation list allows for a premium til production ramps.

If only cybertruck was available for Tupac
cool as it is, with the car market on the verge of collapse (thereby a huge drop in prices) it hard to justify the insane price jump on the Cybertruck. I have one preordered but will probaly pull out
That would probably be the smartest financial decision you ever made.
It's a 50-50 chance for its population, and whether Tesla is electric, or not, they can't dent or compare it to like other EVs. Cybertruck is not an electric vehicle.
What are you smoking? It is electric and a giant turd.
i cannot wait to get this truck! :D

There's so many cool new cars made all of live glass moving parts and without a steering wheel etc. so why would anyone even care about this car that we all drew in kindergarten? I appreciate the attempt to make something new but this looks like he designed it himself when he had a lunch break or smth! Elon will eventually make better cyber trucks in the future but this is like he is starting from scratch so it will take some time until he catches up to the present!
