    Adam and Michael, you guys should seriously consider pay-per-view for these videos because there are so many truck school students from everywhere benefiting from your videos, and you guys are not getting compensated. Of course, the reason we're here, learning from _you_, is because our schools (the ones we are paying to be in) are garbage!

      We had to pin your comment, Fun. Thank you so much for watching and learning. We know other schools use our videos, so do trucking companies (during orientation)! Unfortunately, when we monetize the videos, our competitors' ads run right before our video. So, our videos are all free content. Our karma is skyrocketing...

      I agree with you. The equipment we had was terrible and the instructors never bothered to tell us to return the wheel to center while backing. Caused me lots of problems until I ran across CDL School Inc. videos. Used them to pass my test.

There are a bunch of different ways to complete this maneuver from what I’ve seen from different UA-cam videos but I might try and like this one the best so I can see where the back is going throughout the maneuver

But I've been watching a lot of videos such as this and have a better understanding of where I was going wrong. So come Tuesday when I go in, I'm feeling pretty confident that I'm going to knock it out. Thanks for posting.

      You'll get it, Jerome. Use the markers on the vehicle and watch your trailer tires as you back toward the opposite lane. Quarter turn on the steering wheel, back to center, quarter turn, back to center, etc. Miss the center cone by a foot. Pull forward of you get in trouble. Thanks for watching!

    The thing I dont like about driving school is you have 4 or 5 to 8 people sharing a truck..you spend 80 percent of your time standing around waiting on your 15- 30 min turn...it takes you 3 weeks to learn what you could learn in 3 days if you had a truck and parking lot to yourself...but I understand no school can afford a 10 acre parking lot and truck for each student

    • @nadiyah7071
      @nadiyah7071 3 роки тому +3

      I definitely agree. We have 18 students in our class and we're sharing 2 trucks. Sometimes we only have one because one truck is constantly breaking down. It sucks but I'm going to keep trying. This video has helped me alot mentally and I'm ready to start again Monday.

      Hey, thanks for the comment. Michael.
      Remember to start off with a small angle between the tractor and trailer. Back to center. Then just watch your trailer.
      If your trailer is early, your starting angle was too big.
      As your trailer arcs toward the alley, you'll have to add small, brief right turns to push your trailer to the left. Small turn, back to center. Repeat.
      The last turn is a hard left. Use a pull forward before the passenger side of the trailer passes over the side cones. Best of luck, let us know and ask us anything.

    This is the best video EVER, because of this video I mastered the Off Set and even learned how to Alley Dock. In my opinion the Alley Dock is a very tight version of the Off Set, it's the same principal. I shared this video with my classmates and we're all getting the Off Set now. Thanks from Birmingham, AL.

    Best video I've watched on UA-cam detailing offset-backing, very descriptive and I love the overhead view with steering pointers and how to fix a mistake.

      LittleIrish Lady! Thank you for your nice comment. We have videos for all of the maneuvers, the pre-trip, and shifting a 10 speed if you need further assistance. You may also ask us any questions that your instructors can't answer.

      P.S. I passed my pre-trip for class because of your video and I kept remembering your catchphrase and believe me it worked. Thank you."If you let your eyes tell you what to say, the items will tell on themselves". By the time I make it to DMV I'll have your video memorized word for word.

      CDL College, LLC These videos are great. I appreciate them immensely. I am confused about one thing on this video. Make small turns to angle the trailer towards the spot. Then immediately back to center to straighten the trailer with the tractor. Wouldn’t you have to turn the wheel in the opposite direction to move the tractor back in front of the trailer? Thank you

    Thank you Adam for you're video of step by step instructions of the off set. I currently attend road masters and they don't break down the alley dock, offset, or parallel like you guys do. I have taken a lot of notes and I Will be following these steps this weekend when I return back to school. I wish you guys had a school in Florida I like the way you guys break down all the backing, double clutching and putting inferences on what mirror to watch.
    Again thank you!! 😊

      @AK_MOB559 Yeah man, After I passed my test. I bounced from one crummy job to another. Finally landed a good job. No touch freight, local, and hourly pay! Over time after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours. I mostly drop and hook 53' dry Vans. I put these trailers in spots I NEVER thought possible! I drive 3 axle day cabs, but I usually grab a sleeper when I'm going to be a while being loaded.

    • @daddykiller5835
      @daddykiller5835 5 років тому +3

      @AK_MOB559 its pretty good. $22.50 an hour
      Monday thru Friday. Weekend's are optional. If I don't have anything going on I'll go to work and pick up empty trailers and bring them back to the yard. 4:00 am to 12:00 pm.
      all time and a half pay!
