There will be times in certain conditions, on certain waves, when Caity will shine because she just has that kind of vibe and talent. And the judges (and fans) will reward her and love her for it when they can. But having said that Erin is nearly technically perfect in almost every way. Best backhand on the planet, (yes, better than Caroline's), best bottom turn by far, best of everything really. And she works harder than anyone to boot. All other things (aka waves) being equal in any given contest and Erin has the capacity to slam the door shut on all of the competition. And she's only getting better.

I think the story of the year is women's surfing in general. Watching the women this year has been way better than the men.
Really can't argue with that. A lot more men are now watching now that the young women are light years better than most men!
