    I sure hope Kingroon can sort this printer out. I've been wanting a small enclosed printer for doing ABS, ASA, and Nylon. My 2 Kingroon KP3's have been giving me great results for over a year so I know Kingroon is capable of making a good printer.

    I got mine in 3 weeks ago, it had lots of damage to frame bent, acrylic panels cracked, belts weren't connected, I sent Kingoon pics of all the damage, the replied with 24 hrs and said to keep the printer for spare parts, and promised to send a new upgraded version with screen, all-metal hotend, and better packaging around end of June. We'll see, I still have hopes.

    Hello from History ✌🏻
    I’m having trouble with my z axis going home; it likes to party and doesn’t wanna go home. When it reaches the very top it starts jumping up and down 😂 but seriously, it’s like its stuck on something and it doesn’t work. I haven’t printed anything out yet as I’m worried it’s gonna mess itself up like a child. So far no luck online for fixes. Any useful tips? Thanks in advance.

      Sounds like there might be an issue with the Z endstop switch. Make sure it's connected and is in the right position for the bed to trigger it.

    Thanks for the video! This is a completely different experience to the review made by My Tech Fun. His KLP 1 came with a screen and the quality out of the box was at least decent. On the other hand, he published his video only about a week ago, so I wonder if Kingroon has been ironing out the quirks.

      They seem to be. Received my KLP1 Gen 2 five days ago and it's been ok. With the default Cura profile it ships with, 350mm/s is out of the question if you want a good print. I've dropped mine down to 175mm/s and it prints really well. I'm sure with some tweaking and tuning for a particular filament I can get that speed up.

    I skimmed this admittedly. Printing in PLA tells the potential consumers of this printer nothing. You buy an enclosed printer because you have moved beyond PLA to high temp engineering materials like ABS, ASA, PETG or similar. Thank you for not printing in white, the sample print color of morons. ;-) Look forward to a follow-on video. It's a tempting price for certain and the little KP3S is awesome for what it is. Could be a real winner here. I do enjoy your channel from time to time. You are a reliable source. Unscripted content like this is best. Liked.

    • @leroy7647
      @leroy7647 Рік тому

      PLA is easy to print. ABS is harder. It cannot do PLA well. Given that current status there is no need to try out harder to print materials and tells anyone exactly what they need, whether they print PLA, ABS or PETG.
      This particular device tested could still be a bad sample, but given its cost of less than $400, and with all those specs, this has compromise written all over. And not a good compromise.

  • @mrmechano
    @mrmechano Рік тому

    Kingroon products need to be dismounted and remounted with precision and knowledge. After that they give you good results.

    After fine tuning now it's a small jewel.

    Just on the "12 minute Benchy from the Mk4", please consider not using it as a comparison again in the future. It's not a regular #speedboatrace rules Benchy and Prusa knew exactly what they were doing when they released it. Their regular Benchy file is 27 minutes which is still fast, but doesn't sound quite so good when compared to what some of the competition in the same price bracket can do.
    This is mostly unrelated to the KLP1 of course as the Benchy from that looked like trash (although I'd be fascinated to see if it can do any better with a bit of manual bed levelling).
