Until his good death my grandfather would sit by her bed in a rocking chair hold her hand, even though she hadn't recognized him in years, and talk or read to her. They slept in the same bedroom. he and their marriage bed and her and her hospital bed until he went into the hospital where he died. They married during world war II and were devoted to each other their entire lives.
