Yet another spectacular mission from the GR boys. As far as the loudest jet I have ever heard, that goes to the Harrier II. They did a flyover the Indy 500 one year and left 300,000 race fans deafened, and it was the most pleasurable pain I have ever had. They flew over in the missing man formation, then one broke off and circled back over the track. He went into a hover and drifted over the track, stopped in midair, then pivoted and began forward flight like a boss. You felt it rumble your chest more that heard it. It was a religious experience for an aviation buff. And I served four years on the USS Theodore Roosevelt so I know what loud is. The Harrier II made a Tomcat sound tame. And that's no small feat.

I think the carrier groups are also vulnerable to nuclear attacks. Large coverage. Away from civilians. Low risk of long term fallout contamination.
Like the expected tactic of high altitude air burst blasts to take out bomber groups or reentry vehicles.
Wouldn’t mind seeing that approach tested.

Final run of this should be trying B-1Rs to see if they can either reach the bombers in time (especially now that they have a flight model and a human can control target deconfliction) or if they can’t get to bombers before the launch. And for the love of God Cap, shift the AWACS towards the REDFOR bombers instead of orbiting over Guam/home base. That’s much more realistic than nukes from starfighters at this point 😂

it might be come a stability issue. Keep in mind that fighter aircrafts are pushed (engine nozzle at the end) rather than pulled. Imagine a bicycle which you try to push backwards: much more instable than if you push it forward. That instability (to my knowledge) was one reason why the F-103S required additional tail fins.
At very high speeds very little imbalances can become significant. E.g. the arrestor hook of the F-104 is not on centerline. Pilots had to use some trim to compensate at high speeds.

Nicely Done Cap. Of some concern would have been the EMP off of the limited nukes, Don't know about it personally. Nailing the Swans only seems possible if a Carrier Wing from the flank could deploy, or a "Hypersonic, air to air Nuke" >1200 Tons. Thanks for the hours of production...

A name it never really deserved once the crews got used to it and the design had some updates from the earlier models teething issues, it went on to be a very successful and well liked bomber by its crews.

Imagine flying across the world in a loose formation, no technical issues with any aircraft or missiles, launching a vast strike of cruise missiles which would challenge any modern air defence... Going home and just seeing news reports of nuclear flashes in the sea a hundred miles out, fishermen told to steer clear for a week or so, and nothing else.
Who would win, vast saturation assault or four 1960s boys with very big missiles? Its such a blunt solution but its great.

Low altitude nukes dont put out EMPs. The EMP effect comes from extremely high altitude detonations (for further info, research Starfish Prime) the nuke doesnt cause the emp itself, but the high altitude detonation creates highly charged particles in the upper atmosphere that propogate towards the ground effecting things like high tension power lines.

No thaad in dcs also thaad is for killing ballistic weapons not swarms it can’t kill planes or drones or cruise missiles. Its the top level of a multi tiered system but that doesn’t mean it can do the job of lower altitude covering systems. So replacing thaad with patriot is a bad idea.

@@Nr15121 Good Point! And I don't mean to literally change them, but just change them for a video. But ya I totally wasn't thinking they were Ballistic Anti-Air Defense. I just want to know what it would Literally take to defend Guam from a surprise Attack. Say they were to go after Taiwan I would think that this is something they would want to do before going after Taiwan. And they would probably want to do surprise attacks on Multiple bases in the region like our bases in the Japanese Islands, Philippines, etc.

Hold up there's such a thing as a Nuclear Rocket? Meaning, a Nuclear Warhead is being propelled by an unguided rocket? That sounds incredible irresponsible! lol I googled the difference between a rocket and missile, and it would seem the only difference really is whether or not it's being guided unless it's being used to go to space and then it's a rocket again. Which is really confusing to say the least.

@@SciFlyGal right it seems like a waste of time creating a low yield nuke for this or any low yield nuke is a waste of time really? Once you developed nuclear capabilities to the point of extinction why bother throwing something low yield especially if their in a a formation in their way to bomb you. Hold up, is my time line off? Was this tech developed before or after Intercontinental ballistic missiles? I’m confused as to why they would need to send a fleet of bombers in the first place. I know know this is a thing we “the US” planned for if we were to go to elect with Russia. That’s what the F14 and the AIN 54 was made for, but we went to the moon before the Tom Cat which means they had rockets capable of reaching The states. So why the bombers?
