I'm not a wedding photographer but if I were, I would definitely want to use this, or at least try it out. As a portrait photographer, I feel like I edit each shoot slightly differently and don't have a consistent style (and not sure I want one). But, I am a techie and very forward thinking so as I write this, Imagen is editing my last photoshoot from this past weekend...oh, it's already done. Now to see the results...

Sounds amazing. How does it work with cropping images to your requirements. Is AI able to learn how to crop an image .
I personally only use the straighten feature, but I Imagen (haha, see what I did there?) it learns how you like to crop

Haha I’m not sure actually. It’s definitely an older one!
How does nobody question data privacy issues? Do you inform your customers their photographs (data) are being sent to an AI server? Are they aware you are not the one doing the job or do they believe they get quality artisanal work, while their images are uploaded to third-party servers without their knowledge? Does Imagen use these data for its own improvement? Does this involve facial recognition systems? How is this different from presets?
Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with my personal photographs being uploaded to AI services, even less so if I paid a premium price for photography and retouching.

All of these things are covered in my contract for the client facing side ❤️ for the questions you have about Imagen’s process I’m sure there are answers on their website or support. ☺️
Privacy and security are our top priorities. Your photos will be stored on secured AWS servers, and without your explicit consent, we will never use them for anything other than training your profile and editing your images.
As to how we differ from presets: Unlike presets, Imagen analyzes each photo individually and adjusts 50+ editing parameters uniquely based on its specific needs. Presets do not recognize the photo they're applied to, and they can only statically apply the settings.
What are you using to do behind the scenes and how is it set up?

They’re completely different. For me Imagen processes my photos from raw to jpg In lightroom with my style, etc. Evoto retouched skin and eyes and hair and makeup and so much more. I use both, one right after the other

I’ve been trying out Luminar Neo for a while and I’m impressed with its capabilities. If you’re serious about saving time in editing, you have to be using some form of AI. Another excellent video.
Luminar Neo is awesome too! Different and not quite meant for bulk, but more details editing and some really incredible means for pulling or adding detail to an image
I must be too picky. I've tried that 3 times now (after I've uploaded 3 weddings... so.. it was 'taught'). I just feel like the crops had to be adjusted too much for too many photos. Exposure and color was great, but crops (half faces of people the subject is interacting with, other distracting elements). I'm sure it will get better, but just found myself having to re-crop most. So, now just rely on presets I've created and the cropping that I had to do anyway w/ Ai. Just my experience w/ it so far.
I personally don’t use the crop feature, just the straighten and it’s awesome.

I just wish they weren’t a subscription company. If they weren’t subscription based I would use it because it’s not like someone else is editing the photos for you in that time for the Ai to edit. If i was hiring someone else I’d understand charging per photo but it’s not worth it to me personally to spend more money off of each gallery even if my weddings are $10k per wedding. It adds up in the long run just like all of our other subscriptions until it’s the same price of Lightroom then it’s not worth it to me.

@@VanessaJoy I will now try Neurapix based on your AI tools review in previous video. I worked wit Afrershoot for a while but their Graicard profile didn't quite do the job. 5k images to train their algorith is a lot. Neurapix requres only 500 so I'll give them a shot. Thanks for sharing this useful info!
I've used it and I don't agree with it's choices. It also begs the ethical question if photographers can charge the same price when they aren't doing half the work. I think clients would be furious if they paid 5k and didn't even get a full human value of work for their money. But who knows.. people are pretty dumb nowadays
Actually I think you should charge more when you aren’t doing the work, it raises your cost of sales 🤷🏻♀️ especially justified when it edits better, faster and more consistently than I do as a human (but of course, I actually suck at that so results may vary like in your case!)
I think that the clients don’t care as long as they get their photos. Especially if they get them faster. And I also think you should/could charge more for a fast turn around. I don’t think it’s unethical at all.
Just makes a lot more new photogs… mirrorless camera tech makes shooting easier between AF and live exposure and then you just edit with AI? Easy peasy. Which inevitably brings down the demand and cost of photogs-saturated market. I’m sure it won’t hurt Vanessa or other popular and high caliber photographers…squeezes out the mid-level.
@@soniajimenez5105 I don’t think that anybody is becoming a photographer because it’s easy. Technology is always going to change. I’m sure this is the exact argument made when the world went digital. “Now it’s going to be easy for everyone to be a photographer.” Personally, I like to embrace change because it’s inevitable and we have no control over it. Follow your heart and don’t worry about what others are doing. ❤️
