Great podcast. Can you please share how you take photos of guest tables? I always struggle with that as round table usually requires higher ISO due to Low aputure to get everyone in focus. These tables are also far from your off camera flash setup and congested that you can get stand with light stand.
Great video, it would be great if you'd share a BTS photo/clip of what your setup looks like practically. Do the videographers not complain about the umbrella being big and in their shot? When photographing people attending the wedding, do you then just rely on your on camera flash?
Thank you! That's a great idea and one that I'm working on for a future video! To answer your questions - no problems with the videographers! In my experience, if you work together there's plenty of room for everyone to set-up their gear. And if I'm taking group shots of guests during cocktail hour, then yes I'm relying on my on-camera flash. Hope this helped! Be sure to download the FREE Flash Guide in video description!
I did not know exactly how to setup three flashes during photography (I am new At flash photography) Now I know that my camera flash should be on manual mode And the other two flashes need to be on same channel and ID, but with different ABC.. groups. Also i used to wonder where slave mode is, now I know RX is the slave mode.👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching! Well, it depends on if you're point it straight in-front of you or if you're pointing your flash straight up. Most often my flash is pointed straight towards the ceiling, so the light illuminates all around me in 360. Hope that make sense
Another PRO of learning your MANUAL flash settings: If you switch camera bodies or do a firmware update on your camera & all of a sudden your camera/flash combo WON'T "talk" to each other, you wont be scrambling to do a firmware update on your flash &/or up Sh¡ts creek bc you dont know how to override/operate your flash manually. I can't speak to Sony/Canon, but for Nikon. I know a lot of photogs who switched to Z mirrorless & they solely rely on TTL mode...but find their flash wouldn't go into that mode during a shoot/event. They either had to do a convoluted firmware update on the fly OR struggle thru a crash course on Manual mode. If they even bothered to do that. I think some just cranked the ISO & hoped for the best. I learned my flash in manual mode, so even tho I switched to mirrorless, I never ran into this "issue" bc I dont rely on TTL.
I explain this in the video, TTL isn't necessarily bad. But if you want consistent lighting which makes editing easier later in post you'll want to use Manual. TTL guesses every time you fire the flash which can make your lighting inconsistent.
@@DClassifiedWithDanielle the exposure shooting someone from 6 feet away is not going to be the same as shooting a group from 15 feet away. So you’re still having to adjust power. That’s my point. With TTL, while not perfect, it still does a very good job and the adj is automatic. If you consistent distance, sure manual is great. But guess what, I’d be using a meter as well.
@@30dcanon id agree with having to adjust but personally id prefer to be the one making the decisions and not relying on the flash to guess. If you photograph in manual on your camera you should be with your flash as well. But to each their own. No answer is wrong.
ty for the feedback! This channel started in tandem with my podcast so I'm slow figuring out my process and how I reconfigure videos for youtube, but I would agree with you! I always appreciate videos that get straight to the point.
Really, “Thank you”, very very informative.
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching

23 minutes of intro is too much. Most people will lose interest by then. I’m just sayin.
ty for the feedback! This was originally formatted for a podcast so I'll be making adjustments for future videos to be more concise.
Thanks for that. I fast-forwarded that insanely long intro.

Thank you so much! Happy you're here!
Lots of great info thank you are you using high speed sync?
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. Nope, I don't use high speed sync!
Great info.! Thank you for the time and effort.! One thought with the dome on V1 isn't it 180 degrees of spread.?.

This is a great point! Thank you for sharing!
What camera are you using on this video
It's the canon r6!
What’s wrong with TTL and flash comp. I use the V-1 and I don’t use manual even though I shoot in manual. TTL is very good today.
I use ttl on my on camera flash, usually set to -07

❤love your video
thank you so much!
Good information thx 👍
ty :)
What camera body do you use for wedding photography?
I use the Canon r6!
Why the rubber band have to be white around the Master??
just helps me quickly find my master flash on wedding days
I'll throw shade on Yongnuo, I hated mine. LOL
🤣 I feel you on this
Good information however I think the video is too long. I think you could have made it a 15 minute video.

Good information, a little too long intro but appreciated the info
thank you for that feedback! In the future, I plan on making them shorter and more concise :)
Awsome video
I would make mention that it’s not advisable to bounce you flash if the walls or ceiling have color. That color will transfer to your subject.
I cover this in the video!
Oh just get on with it!
noted lol
I left after betterrrrrr 😅
can't be everyone's cup of tea 🤷♀
People who don’t learn flash are lazy
