      @@fiddlinjonny Sorry to hear about the _sticking_ - some of these coins, like Johnny Wong Triple Production has had some problems with *sticking* & poor release - the remedy has been to replace the inner coin-material with mouse-tape i.e. the special whitish tape that helps the computer-mouse to slide with greater ease. I enjoy your style Jonny-the violin that seems to play itself (LOL) & that mustachio is killer cool! Have a splendid Sunday, mate!

    Your reviews are great Jonny, perfect amount of detail. I'm a fair bit younger than you, but my hands are so dry that I have issues with invisible decks if I don't apply lotion first, so I think I'll have to give this one a miss. It's a pity, because it's a gorgeous routine.

    • @fiddlinjonny
      @fiddlinjonny  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Sandy, thanks for the kind words. Yes the dry hands on this product is a real issue and if you can't get the right moisture on your hands then it is not going to work the way Avi has routined it. It is still a great product and routine but if hand moisture is a problem then I too think it is a pass. Great to see you here and appreciate you watching the reviews. Have a great day.

      Thanks James I am glad this was helpful. This is one of those effects that are really great but there are a number of things they just don't tell you.
      1. If you are a magician and doing any amount of coin magic you already have the gimmick. (With the exception of maybe the Morgan gaffs they sell.) Would have been better sold as a download with the option to buy the gimmicked coin
      2. This is a very slight update to the handling of this routine that has been out for a long time. I will add that Avi does an excellent job on the clean up of this and the way in which he does it is really good. That part I feel like is the unique piece here.
      3. And most importantly in my opinion, in order for it to look the way that Avi performs it you must have the right amount of stickiness on your hands in order for it to work. I have really tried to get this to work for me consistently trying the methods mentioned without any luck.
      Avi is a really amazing magician who does really great work but the above mentioned things I think are important for the person considering purchase of this to consider.
      Thanks for dropping by, watching the video and leaving a comment.

    I was speaking to a magician who has Monarch, he uses Octopalm to help with the sticky part and it works very well for him.

    • @fiddlinjonny
      @fiddlinjonny  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Elazar. I think Octopalm is an option for some but it can be quite adhesive at times and make it a little difficult to make the release look natural.But at the end of the day if you want this routine to work and you do not have the proper adhesion then I would highly recommend they try Octopalm and see if it works for them. It looks almost the same as Shadow Coins on Michael Ammar's ETMMM, using the same exact gaff.

    • @fiddlinjonny
      @fiddlinjonny  3 роки тому +1

      Yep, they are almost the same and they are using the same gaff. Avi has some subtle differences in the routine but ultimately this is a variation on Michael Ammars version. I think it is overpriced and the special move that Avi does at the beginning and end really required a stickiness on your hands which I have been unable to attain, even with good moisturizers. I did use octopalm and that was too strong.
      By the way as a teenager I remember watching Michael Ammar on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson do his matrix routine or the shadow routine and was so blown away by it that it fueled my love of magic even more. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment.

    Can you perform this trick without a cloth pad?

    • @fiddlinjonny
      @fiddlinjonny  3 роки тому +1

      This is a really good question. The answer is it depends. If the cloth that you are performing on is secure and does not move then yes but if it is not really secure I would probably avoid. Not impossible but is best on a surface that stays in place when you drag your palms on the surface. I hope that helps some and if not just ask for further clarification. Great question and the answer is No, but they do provide 4 "replica" Morgans. So basically they are fake Morgans. They will also include with the replica Morgans a Morgan gimmick. The add copy says they are weighted to feel normal and make the sound of a real morgan when they are used. Of course I do not own them so I honestly can not speak to how true that is.
