Its the best horror film soundtrack of any not done by John Carpenter. Not the sequels, the 1979 soundtrack has this jam quality to it, i know Myrow used to work with Jim Morrison and this is reminiscing to a more jam band version of The Doors like music using synths, pianos and organs, but that drummer is special, very tasteful. Damn good soundtrack. I have this movie on Blu-ray Remastered and the Collector's Wide-screen Edition Laserdisc which is around $100, I'd like this on Vinyl but both 1979 and 2016 Mondo remaster re-release are over $150, but i can get 1979 Japanese vinyl at about $75 and I'm an anime and Japanese gamer playing Konami's Castlevania Circle Of The Moon as we speak so i may get the Japanese vinyl.

There's a new double LP out now (2024) that supposedly has all the music from the actual film score.
