Agreed 100%. They forgot the importance of letting the viewers imagination fill in some of the blanks, especially in Nightmare on Elm Street's case - it was supposed to be sort of a psychological thriller. They started showing him too much and turned him into a pop star lol
This sounds takes me back to Halloween of 1985 when I was jus a kid and my mom says come in kids I have a movie (on VHS) called a nightmare on elm st. And from that day on I have been a fan of this horror icon since. Pt 1 and 2 are definitely the darker krueger, also 3 a bit, he still was deadly but by 4 on it was comical for the most part.
Too bad the sequels suck after a while. 2 is overhated IMO, 3 is the best sequel, and 4 is okay. Everything after is ehh (as much as I didn't mind the Freddy's Dead entry)

Amazing! Could you do someday the one for _A Nightmare on Elm Street 3_ (1987) by Angelo Badalamenti? I just love it, one of the best soundtracks ever, though one of the most special ones too. I notice a very heavy inspiration from it for the classic and mythical _Resident Evil_ (1996) videogame. Thank you!
What I disliked most about New Nightmare was that it dismissed the original mythology of a murderous pedophile who was burned to death by the parents of his victims and came back for revenge where they couldn't protect the rest of their children and reduced him to something with no relation to the actual fictional person Freddy Kruger.
And they won't come after you without reason but also just letting people and definitely those who want them to be real your wish did not come true it always was true to begin with they are real they say there not they are but just in case you don't know don't get scared and panic he's not bad like they make him out to be truth is in reality he's both good and bad something most people will never understand a double-edged being and yes those are definitely real to don't let people who know the truth lie and deceive you
My Opinion is the best 2 night mare films were The Original Movie then part 2, for reason of this Freddie was as evil and cruel as he should of been in both films, after these 2 films they started going into a more campy Horror Comedy bit with his Character, the first 2 Films his Evil Demonic cruelty was on high volume, for a character like Freddie it is a good thing to make him more menacing and terrifying
