Baritone Mouthpiece Comparision: Barg Larsen vs SR Techno
200$ Berg Larsen 120, 0 M
600$ SR Techno Pro 115
It took me hooking this up to my live sound system to really hear the difference. In general they are so close I could not hear the difference on my phone or computer.
Once I listened through the big speakers, the high end sounds identical. The mid and low range though…… the SR Tech has a more full and sweeter tone.
Personal preference of course, but the SR TECH is what speaks to me!
Great video! Thanks for posting!
That SR sounds amazing. I’m now looking out for one. Although from your videos, you could make a plastic toy sound amazing. Amazing playing and tone!
Thank you very much❤️
You sound great on both, but you sound a little more comfortable on the SR, as if you’re not having to work quite as hard. I think I prefer the sound of that one too.
Yes definitely. Sr techno is my favorite company. I own now 8 mtpc for four saxes. Easiest mouthpieces to play ever
@@LeszekN I recently got the PRO for tenor, and I love it. I’m now tempted to try one on baritone.
It's not so easy to find it. I've found it on ebay, after mamy months of searching
I prefer Berg Larsen...
The Berg sounds really nice, which model, tip opening is that one?

What ligiture are you using on the sr tech pro?

Berg all the way!! The SR sounds like a toy in comparison and has intonation issues
I got totally opposite opinion 😊
The sr is such a better mouthpiece. I know from experience, it’s the best mouthpiece I’ve played on.
@@Kevin-ek1su If you play smooth jazz then sure SR is great otherwise its not flexible at all!! Just bright and loud
Bulshit. It's the most versatile mouthpiece, I ever had.
A play straight ahead jazz on it with no smooth jazz sound at all
@@mambojazz1 I respectfully disagree, the mouthpiece is great in nearly every setting of music. It’s easy to play on, can play soft and loud. Sounds amazing. Not too bright. Leo P used this mouthpiece for the longest time and for good reason.
