    Congratulations. I have mine next month. Iv been using all my free time to study . Think should be okay with the theory test but i keep using the mocks, then making sure i understand volt drop calculations and practical faults . Think just got to keep ontop of it and not get inside my head , nerves etc

      That's the way to do it. But remember to take breaks, let your brain absorb what you've studied. You'll do great. Just remember, the 2391 only has a national average of a 60% pass rate, it's designed to be difficult so don't worry if you don't get it on the first try. It took me 2 attempts on the theory, and I passed the practical only because I'd been signing my own work off for several years before hand.
      Good luck with it. All the answers are in the book, it's just knowing how to navigate it. 🤘💪

      @@ChampionsOfTheTrade Thanks Champ . Yerrrr reading those failure rates isn't too uplifting 😐 we will see.
      What was the hardest part personally to you?
      How did you find the Classification part and the written part?
      Do you think the 60% pass rate has anything to do with people coming in unprepared? IE if you took them away the pass rate could be higher

    • @lewishumphries2893
      @lewishumphries2893 3 місяці тому

      @@ChampionsOfTheTrade also your 2nd theory attempt . Did you have to take the whole course again or did they let you repeat that part only? Iv heard different places run those decisions different

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  3 місяці тому +1

      Theory for me has always been a thorn in my side, but I'm dyslexic. I think the low pass rate is partly due to the tutors expecting you to already know what you need, and they basically try to fill in the gaps and 'teach' you how to pass the exam.

    Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 don't drink and drive 😅 fun and joking aside. Hope is the best way of preparing for the 2391-52? I was told to study the GN3, I've done this twice and failed. No more that 55/57% at a time. I started to wonder if I've been given wrong exam papers online 😢 cause nothing I've came across so far in the books.

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  10 місяців тому

      Thank you. Best advice to pass the practical... Practice as much as you can, just keep at it on those test boards, and do different test boards if available, they'll all be different from the test station, but parts of them won't be. Get someone to introduce a fault that you have to find too.
      With the theory, for me, it was getting my hands on as many past papers as possible, but if you Google them, there are sites out there with mock questions.
      Hope it all goes well, let me know how you get on.

      Honestly that's all you can really do. But go through as many as you possibly can. If there have been changes in the regs recently, they usually ask at least 1 question on it.
      Hope it goes well & good luck. Let me know how it goes.

    Hi mate congratulations, I see your comments mention battles with your governing body over your scope. If you are doing EICRs/ condition reports off your own back will you be compliant with peoples house insurance for example?? Just wondering as I’m in line to do my 2391 in the new year and then I assume I will be in a similar position to you. Thanks in advance

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  8 місяців тому +1

      It would depend upon the insurance company, but to my knowledge, so long as you're qualified and insured yourself there shouldn't be an issue with domestic. It can however be a problem with commercial...
      Fyi, my battle is still ongoing. They're just ignoring me now.
      You might be fine with your scope. I first qualified nearly 20yrs ago (2360) which is where my problem lies regarding the scope.
      Please let me know how you get on, and good luck 🤞👍

    I’m on attempt number 7 and I’m ready for quitting,there are no relevant past papers to go off as all the questions have changed recently..?

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  4 місяці тому

      They don't release the past papers because there is only an amount that can be asked. Has your tutor not given you questions that will at least be similar?
      If it makes you feel better, only around 65% of those who take the exam, pass. It has the lowest pass rate of any electrical test. (So I was told).
      Are you qualified to sign off your own work? Do you have the 2392? If not, maybe that route would be better, I did that for several year's before undertaking the 2391.
      All the best and good luck 💪

      Thank you. Biggest tip I can give you... Study as many past papers as possible, you can Google them too, there are a few sites out there, just make sure they're up to date. Main training how ever was at a local(ish) training center, 5 day course over 5 weeks then exams.
      Work wise, I've had a few so far, one nursing home which took a week to complete, but check with your governing body first against your current certs... Mine date back to 2006 and because of that I'm having a battle with them for adding EICR to my scope. Long story.... But I can still do EICRs, just off my own back, make sure the client is happy with that first.

      @@ahmedsalah5364yes but it's very very difficult without the hands on experience, and even the course providers say it's unlikely you'll pass without some background experience.
      I began by completing my Part P first, you can pass your own work then.
      This will allow you to also change consumer units which in turn gives you experience towards the test and inspect.
