@@marcryvon Why do you put down Millennials? (by the way you didn't even spell it right) Why do you judge them as lazy and no good? I am 56 years old and I raised two of them. One will in a short time be designing your next cpu for you computer or some other replacement that is way better, and the other one is a blink of an eye away from being the director of her company. What? Are you afraid of them? I have yet to meet any millennials that are lazy, I have met a bunch of them that refuse to go into debt to live the way their parents do, which is only a month or two from destruction with no savings. Most millennials would rather live in a van in the parking lot of their job than to pay rent to a landlord that refuses to fix anything. They also don't believe in going into debt, so they will live with mom and dad and save to build a small house, and I mean a very small house! They think differently than you do, but that doesn't make them wrong it just makes them in so many ways smarter than you are, because they will get to 50 years old and have no debt and have still traveled the world. They are more into the experience and the adventure than they are into the stuff. This next generation has a lot to teach it's older generations, and yet my generation sounds just like my grandparents generation who thought my generation was just a bunch of loser's. My grandfather didn't understand why I didn't value marriage and was such a free spirit. Didn't understand, why I would go to an expensive fine arts college instead of just get my MRS. Now in my 50's I wish I had listened to my heart and not gotten married, had my kids with a sperm donor and raised them on my own, and lived life my way. I raised my kids to always question authority and to always challenge it! I am extremely proud of my kids, my only regret is that I married their father.

Good NZ morning guys. I loved this clip. It had sailing. It had bushcraft. It had hiking. It had a young couple in love. With each other. With sailing. With hiking. With camping..bushcraft. With freedom. And with L I F E.!!!
I've been subbed with you for quite a while now...and just love how you show each other respect when talking to the camera. You don't interrupt the other, or finish their sentence, or talk over the top. That to me is fantastic. It shows respect for the other person. My love for for your channel and you guys increases with each new video. Would love to be able to meet you personally down here in NZ once our borders are open again. Take care and stay safe my friends.

I have to say I enjoyed this episode immensely. Not just for being one of the top episodes that isn't all about sailing but also the production quality. The use of background music and elevating it in conjunction with what is happening on the screen is a tool that is rarely found on youtube videos. Like the starting sequence where Dan is stating that he is ready and lets the sails out. All of a sudden we get the background music at the forefront at a faster pace along with a faster pace editing for a few shots and it slows down again and the music dims down back to background.
You are not only progressing as storytellers and sailors. You are progressing as genuine quality content providers in all aspects of the genre.
Great video and can't wait for the second part of the hike. Hopefully you will have enjoyed the sunrise from up there.

Thank you for your comment. Uma, Dan and Kika are on the north coast of norway now, and i think they understand that saying.
In this perfect step, love filming and all of it, we see them enjoying sun and nice weather in swim wear, this week they need better clothing.
And i know they have all the good clothing they need for a safe journey going north. Looking forward to see more from Uma next week

Referring to the raising of the anchor. As a project, consider installing a well placed pipe with spray nozzle. A switch that is either Auto or manual. Auto will activate the pump when the raising motor is switched on. This would spray & clean the anchor chain! Brian

Spectacular shots! Even though I suspect Norway (like Iceland and New Zealand) is a hard place to take a bad photo:-)! I'm really impressed with the combination of drone, gimbal(?) and other shots all edited together beautifully! Had my heart in my mouth when Dan was starting the Dinghy though - the prop must have been pretty close to those rocks! Good job you were still there! Hiking with wet boots can be a bit miserable glad your feet didn't blister! Fantastic camp site too - intrigued as to what else was in the fire lighting pouch! I remember you being given the knife in a previous step and the advice to keep it and something to start a fire with on you all the time - great to see you following the advice! The roller reefing for the spinnaker looks interesting too - does it roll up again easily? Thanks again for another video that you clearly put so much effort into!
