In this video, I'll show you every LEGO Clone Captain Rex Minfigure ever made, starting with the 2008/2011 Phase 1 minifigure and working our way up to the 2023 UCS Venator Phase II Version!

Exactly. Even with helmet holes/lack of waistcape, the helmet print is SO much better than the old Rex and in general looks a lot better imo

Exactly. Like obviously it would be better if it had a waist-cape but the figure is so much better in every other way. The fact that people are calling it bad is just nuts to me.

@@productionsinparadise2880That was an animation error as far as I know and it was only really present in the Clone Wars movie with Cody scenes inside the Venator when he first talks to Obi-wan and later on when he commands the group of Republic Gunships to land on planet Teth to aid the remains of the surrounded 501st legion and Anakin and Ahsoka.
The new Rex looks so cool with the arm printing. It is too bad we get Cody and Fox in cheaper sets but Rex is in an over $600 set 😅. Hopefully he comes in a smaller set some day or he isn’t too expensive on Bricklink.
Wdym too bad to get in a cheaper set, it's really good unlike Rex which then it is too bad cause not everyone will be able to afford him. But it would be best to buy the new Rex minifigure on his own. I'm still looking for place where I'll be able to get him early, but so far, that's proven to be impossible until it releases.
They've already started to steal it from the factories and sell it, it goes for about 50 bucks. Not the cheapest but still more affordable than the 650 set
he should be coming in a microfighter hopefully. I pray they include his rangefinder, though if not I can always steal it from boba fett or some extras I have lying around

I personally really love the og p1 rex, mixing the p1 rex and giving it the Pauldron and printed arms makes it perfect.
People really need to stop complaining about those minor inaccuracies between two Phase 2 versions and they just don't get this:
2013 one looks more accurate to his character model used in season 4-7 of the Clone Wars show while 2023 one looks more accurate to his live action appearance as seen in the Ahsoka show, there I said it, they are 2 different versions of the same character!

It was so good to see Rex in Ahsoka. I would definitely like to see Captain Rex, Hayden’s Anakin, and Ahsoka in live action together more.
You know that was actually a stray cosplayer who sneaked onto set during a take right? Rex wasn't meant to be in that scene like the jeans guy.
I forget that Captain Rex was present during Return Of The Jedi, along with Hera
In my opinion if the helmet hole was on the dot under it then you could not put the visor on it will be too low and the new binoculars just my opinion
I wish they would keep the holes, but remove the ones that are right under it ngl. Makes it seem better, and gets people to complain less. Its now serving a function and its not detracting from the ascetic one.
You know, if the 2023 Rex had a waistcape and a shorter pauldron it would be a top tier figure
But in universe it’s pretty big

Put macro binoculars on the new rex to make an Umbara rex. It also covers both helmet holes and makes him look so much better

Saddest thing ever i sanded the fin down on the phase 1 one trying to make it look like phase 2 (i was a kid)
Unfortunate that they finally release another Captain Rex figure only for it to be in a probably $500+ set

@@G_R_H_Filmsyou can buy the fig separately. When the UCS razor crest came out, the Mando gif was going for 45-50 if I remember correctly. So I’m assuming rex will probably go for the same amount.

Both have Great details
But to make the perfect Rex Figure you must take the waistcape, torso and Head from the 2013 one and
Arms,Legs,Shoulder piece and Helmet from the new 2023 Rex.
The 2013 Clone Wars Face looks better and The Torso from the 2013 Rex looks so much better than the 2023. I love the small dirty details from the battle on his Torso.

For me 2023 is the best, I always hated how he looked without the range finder and now we finally have it, I also didn’t like his helmet cause his “face” looks too small
Can someone tell me I bought the rex came with the box the speeder and obi all good the only thing I want to know does the helmet have a Lego logo on it it’s round inside so that tells me it legit
If the helmet has a Lego logo on the anti stud then it’s legit
Just need the head and the printed arms from the new one for the 2013 version

I’m going to buy the new captain Rex figure as long as it’s under the $650, hopefully in the $100 range
If the arm print is worth 100, this figure will likely not remain fully exclusive, I find that hard to believe after what Lego has said in the past.
many people are selling the figure early on whatnot for 30-40 dollars. only downside is it doesn’t come with the pauldron but it’ll probably not be too expensive
