though I had some problem with sea water It also ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Whether or not you are a fan of the Nokta detectors it seems the success of the Simplex and Legend machines at a lower price point has made a positive impact for the end user on the detector market. The $269.00 that Minelab is charging for the X-terra Pro really seems like a great bargain but it also makes the Maniticore and Equinox machines seem a bit overpriced.💲

I loved my Xterra 705, I still have it as my spare, in my opinion having used the Xterra and the 800 Nox,
I find that the Xterra is more stable on targets such as silver and Australian Clad.. that’s just my opinion having used both for many years, thanks for the review Mike 👍

Yea we have all been wanting a good quality and good priced affordable detector and I think the companies are listening at last. I still use some legendary older detectors like my Nautilus and my Mk 2 Red heat both single Freq and they still hit deep deep targets. What I love about them is that they last. Both are over 15 to 25 years old and still work well :) the red heat hits low conductors deep on iron infested sites too that many of my modern detectors just simply can't do. So separation is key along with depth and quality. At an affordable price. This is great for the new users like another gentleman mentioned. :) Good times for the hobby

If you think you are going to stay in the hobby and want a really good one that will grow with you grab a 800 from ebay or a new 700. The XTERRA and Vanquish 540 are both great options. You mentioned the 440 but you cannot use wireless headphones with that and it does not offer a low/high iron bias like the 540. If your going to be water hunting the XTERRA, if you plea to relic hunt the Vanquish would be better because of the multi iq. Coin hunting both will be fine.

This machine kind of makes you scratch your head a little bit though. They come out with a $1,600 detector and then come out with a $270 detector that's probably going to pull up 99% of what the manticore does. And judging by what Calabash did with the beach test I don't see the need to buy either a 700 or a 900 equinox considering the price difference and that this can be used on the beach with no issues! Not to mention this detector is deep! Seems like they're cutting their own throat here. They are pretty much forcing me to take advantage of this detector because of the price point. Well don't mind if I do then!
