I'm not old enough to remember the art Fleming version of Jeopardy, but after watching an episode of that I can agree that Billy would be a good Jeopardy host.
Just discovered the one flaw with this game...the first two players crapped out and won $0. Player 3 knew this and of course would probably have stopped after picking 3 chests regardless, since he knows he'd be the first to be asked to play for the million. $12,750 is a nice chunk of change for him, but I'd gamble that for a shot at $100,000 for passing GO or for $1,000,000 for landing on GO in the big end game. But I suppose that's the nature of the beast, the other 2 players had options to quit and take guaranteed money.
It's not trying to be anything more than a game of chance, and he was lucky to be randomly selected to go last. It's just a simple game of playing the incentives you mention, and he did!
they sell lottery tickets and then make a TV Show with the "winners"! Brilliant idea. So you make money twice. Even a payout of 1 Million doesn´t hurt the finance of this show! :D
