Spray a bunch of rem oil down in that ct dump it out fill it all the way up then tip it over on paper towel over night . That will help it does mine anyways
I still can’t believe there are people that but Knives to keep in a box and just look at later, and never use it. Just bought an over $500 ultratech and i am going to use it and carry it. Edit: going to pick up tue new Hera
Nice review. What's the actual cutting edge in the UTX70 knife? Not quite sure whether to pull the trigger on this one or not because the price is even steeper for these in EU...so for now I ordered a Chinese clone to see whether I like it or not. I'd love to use this as a jogging knife since you don't feel it and I'm pretty sure the double edge would be effective if shit hits the fan, but I'm worried that the handle would be a little short for the knife to be safe under stressful circumstances...
@@hoopersmith in the end I ordered both a UTX70 and an Ultratech clone. The 70 is too small, hard to grab, not really viable for a last ditch. The Ultra feels about just right. I wouldn't want to go smaller, these are kind slippery knives anyway. I ended up using a Bastinelli Mako folder for that same purpose. It's no auto but it deploys quick with the bram frank opening, easy to clean and basically can't rust being N690CO. Also easy to grab thanks to the ring.
Check the online shops and join a couple of Facebook groups. Every so often a deal will pop up. Just make sure you verify the seller and don't fall for a scam. The cheapest way I've seen is to catch a blade show special though.
The mini troodon looks cool, I'm just not sure I can justify the price. I'd probably lean more to the 85 at that point. A Halo would be a good addition for sure.
my utx 70 is like butter, my combat troodon is getting stiff to close : you may want to buy "the tool"' (maybe not the one from microtech) a proper cleaning is far better than drenching it in Rem oil or similar products..
Omg look at that damn scarab shit. These are gourgous!
Just received my Microtech Combat Troodon D/E - Coyote Camo Handle - Coyote Camo Blade - Signature ......and love it !!!!!
Nice lineup. Very nice!
Thanks for the comparison. I am considering getting the combat troodon.
Go for it. You won't regret it. Don't let the size deter you. It is definitely my go to.
they look really cool
I love to edc my ultratratech shadow hellhound. Love the size and the weight.
thanks for the video - getting my john wick combat troodon tactical after seeing your vid
Nice collection!
Thank you

Nice knives man 👍
Do you have a way to disassemble your Combat Troodon? Coat your springs in white lithium grease and the spring twing will be gone. 🤙

How was the clone? I'll have to pull one back out to find the cutting edge. It's the majority of the blade though.

@@umbertomasoero367 the 70 is definitely small for me to.
Is thr troodon to small for a full comfortable grip, do i need a ultra tech b vigger for that?
The Troodon is a bit small to me. The Ultratech is good length but a bit narrow.
i like ultra tech the most the other bigger models are just to heavy for my choosing.
The scarab your model has 2 springs side by side. The others ultra, combat whatever just one spring
Great info here. Thank you.
Where is the best, cheapest place to buy one?

You should get a Halo VI and Mini Troodon. Both with Hellhound blade 🤘

@@hoopersmith I just got one for 250 second hand which was cheap. Usually around 300ish used.
@@eliteclawamusements that with a hellhound blade?!
Yes sir
I personally love the UTX-85 for EDC. Great pocket size to not get in the way and gets most daily tasks for me done.
Thank you so much . Got it on the first try l size comparison so I can go orfder a clone off dhgate
You won't be the first or the last.
Troh-oh-don. Not true-odon. Sorry it just bugs me to hear it said wrong.
microtech scarab
Are these mircrotechs made
In china ?
No, these are all USA made.
OMG 😴
UTX 70 a disappointment. Very hard to operate, customer service no help.
Hard to operate because of size or is there an issue with it?
