Another great video! Those knives are a lot of fun aren’t they!? My kids thought I was going to watch Jurassic Park from your intro BG music (which was awesome!). Keep it up my good friend! Very entertaining and informative as always!
I've carried my ultratech for edc for 2 years now. I value the fact that I can deploy it and retract it with one hand. It has done everything from cutting cardboard to cleaning squirrels and has never failed. I did send it in to Microtech a month ago for sharpening and I couldn't be happier.
Very cool video... you don't get to see too many OTF videos unless you seek them out. Thanks for the fun video. My wife is NOT into knives but she did think the OTF ones were cool. I just ordered her a Lightning OTF (very budget but reliable)... coming soon. Thanks for the great review Brad.
Thanks for checking out the video my friend. Yeah, they are definitely in a class on their own. Pretty expensive, but well done. I'll be curious to hear how she likes the Lightning! Be well out there.
Autos are definitely fun! That's a serious OTF for sure! LOL...not only is it an auto but its a dagger blade! You are definitely going to jail in Washington.....lol!!!! Great review brother! Thanks for sharing!!
I enjoyed that review. As a fellow Washington I've only ever handled a microtech once, at Blade Show West. It was super cool feeling, kinda scary but really crisp. Learning about the accidental deployment safety was really interesting. I might have to get one for just at home. Have you seen the microtech bounty hunter that was done up like Star War's Boba Fett? It's wicked cool.
Hey, very happy to connect with a fellow WA knife fan! Yeah, I'm with you, I've only handled OTFs at out of state knife shops or trade shows. Was lucky to get to borrow these. Definitely a little scary, but very solid and authoritative action. That Microtech Boba Fett is awesome, those colors and weathering, so cool. Thanks very much for watching. Be well out there!
Although certainly a tactical design, the EDC benefit of a D/E blade means twice the Sharpe edge per inch/blade... 2x as long before you "have" to sharpen it... but we really know what that's built for 😏
Thanks man! These are pretty darn cool. I'm not sure I'm an OTF guy, but if I become one, I'll be looking at these first. Little on the pricey side though. Appreciate you watching!
So let me get this straight.....The double edge is not double feather sticking?!?! Cool review, the knife definitely has a cool factor, unfortunately we can’t carry those out in California either.
Shhhh don't tell Scott, I tried that and no, no it's not. Lol. Yeah, fun knife to check out and review. Very much appreciate you checking out the review! Stay well!
I live in Washington State as well (Everett, WA). I don’t know if the owner of those Microtech’s is open to trades or not, but I have a Signature Series Troodon with the Hellhound blade in CTS 204-P steel and Carbon Fiber that I would be willing to trade straight accross for that black Hellhound Ultratech. If you broker the trade I’d throw you $40-$50 for your time as well.
Hi Evan, good to meet a fellow Washingtonian! My buddy Scott is the owner of these beauties, I'm happy to let him know of your offer and he will reach out I'm sure if he's interested. He also has a great UA-cam channel, Big Bore Knife amd Gear! Thanks for checking out the review and I'll pass your comments along to him (free of charge:-).
Great video. The fidget factor is through the roof. Clip is reversible. Thank you for sharing this 👊
Right on! Thanks again man. Socom video coming soon. I'll get these beauties back to you ASAP!! I'm sure you're missing them.
Carry it just don’t let the powers that think they rule over you know. This is America.
Those fire and lock up beautifully! Microtechs grinds are just gorgeous!
Very well done knives for sure. Thanks for watching!

Definitely a lot of fun, making the video was too! Lol I'm pretty sure I'll get flagged for copyright infringement, but oh well. Take care brother!

Question how much did you pay for shipping to and from?

Looks fantastic , very well made ! Good review, thanks for sharing 👍😊
Thanks Patrick. Definitely a well made knife and in a class of it's own. Pretty darn pricey too though. Thanks for watching. Be well.
Such cool blades! The 70 is top of list for me🤙🏼 thanks for sharing
Agreed, very cool knives. A bit pricey, but well made and unique. Really appreciate you watching. Be well man! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

Thanks for watching man... I may be calling looking for bail money, keep your phone close.
@@mildmannerededc will do...lol!!!
the legality depends on the state, its legal to carry in michigan since 2017
Great deep detailed review 👌
Thanks very much. Appreciate you checking it out!
Would you sell the hellhound?... I’ve been looking for one like crazy!

@@mildmannerededc Thanks, I will be. You be well too.
Definitely a badass knife.
Agreed! Cool on a lot of levels. Thanks very much for checking out the review!

i love the comparison to the Sworfish! :)
Ha! Indeed! Thanks for watching.
How much you want for that ultratech hellhound? 👀
I have absolutely no need at all for an auto but I want one now. The mechanics behind it are interesting.
I have always wanted a Microtech but settled for a Cobratec OTF. It cool but its not a Troodon!! Great video brother.
Thanks man! These are pretty darn cool. I'm not sure I'm an OTF guy, but if I become one, I'll be looking at these first. Little on the pricey side though. Appreciate you watching!
Cobratec are fine and I own a couple, but if you save your money and buy and ultratech you won't regret it. It is a night and day difference

Awesome video 👍
Thanks very much Kevin! Really appreciate the feedback and support. Be well.
@@mildmannerededc thanks and stay well yourself
The blade should sit like 2 milo meters deeper in the case, when it's pulled in, the point of the blade is almost sticking out
Does anybody know the sharpening angle?
No......There YOU go!
😂 accidentally fire an otf in your pocket 😂😂😂😂
The biggest blade is the halo not troodon
The Halo is a single action OTF though...
Great video, but why would you live in a states that restricts KNIVES??? Ridiculous. Move brotha haha
I wissh these were legal in my state
Indeed! Very cool knives. Pretty expensive, but also very well made. Thanks for watching!

Good looking, cool, illegal, LOL. even if it was legal i don't think i would carry an otf. They only really have one use. All the best.
Agreed, not my style either, but fun to get to handle and experience... plus, pretty darn pricey. Be well!
Isn’t that a regular troodon?
Halo 5 is the largest fyi
Ultratech is just letter opener. Too small for me
Honestly I never really wanted something that fast to deploy; Ill stay to backlocks for locking knives.
I'm mostly with you, OTFs aren't my cup of tea, but definitely fun to check out. I'll take a good ol' liner lock any day. Thanks for watching!
