I'm from Palau and I've been seeing lists of the smallest capitals come up a lot so it's cool to see my island get some recognition. Your pronunciations are fine btw lol
@@geography_joe Yeah it's crazy. i never really thought much of it until i left. I moved to Germany a couple years ago but i fly back for the holidays. You got a new subscriber. 👍🏻
This is so funny. But still very interesting as these places must be. I consider Iceland small and we are just about to cross 400,000 people bý the end of the year, been growing.
Glad you found it funny! That means its fun to watch 😂 congrats to you guys almost hitting 400k! Our state of Delaware is within 4,000 residents of hitting 1 million for the first time in its 300 year history. Go iceland and delaware!
@@geography_joe cool a million milestone 😀 Iceland has rapidly changed, so many a bit older locals refer to the "old" and "new" Iceland. The capital and only real city just passed 250k (greater-reykjavik)
@@gfritlev9956 I’ve seen videos of modern Iceland and I’m surprised by how American you guys sound when you speak English. Its almost as if Iceland is equally influenced by being European as it is being a major American tourist destination (is this correct?) I live in Cincinnati, a city of 300,000 (3 million in greater cincinnati) and we’re considered a 'midsized metropolis' ☠
@@geography_joe this is very true. Reykjavik is sort of an American car city. Even some Americans feel somewhat at home, but later realize the nordic or Icelandic culture 😉 It is like 50/50
Great video! Your definition of a capital just is a bit off, since there are also quite a few countries where the government isn’t seated in the capital. For instance the capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam, but the government is seated in The Hague.

You’re from Palau?? Thats crazy! You’re from one of the least populated countries in the world! Do you still live there?

Joseph Alexander Palacios Thats very cool :) whats life like in palau? Really appreciate the sub!
@@geography_joe like any small town Stateside lol. It's pretty laid back. It's a popular tourist destination for many Asian countries.
Great video! Love the IBX2Cat style
Cool video! Subscribed
I've been on a similar trip as you through Europe (Lichtenstein, Augsburg, Munich, Innsbruck). good video.
great content

Ah the tricky netherlands again! Thats true, i shouldve specified that my definition was more of an ‘in general’ sort of thing.
I stayed up all night last night researching Palau and then I found this
Hell yeah 😎 glad i could help
Super cool video like always! These small capital cities makes me want you to make a video on the 7 largest capital cities! It would be super cool
I definitely could! There are some GIANT capital cities out there
