I've been watching your geography videos for a while now, and they inspired me to do stuff on flags. I used to only know a few flags, but now I know all of them (though I struggle with some of the spelling) I tried out the Europe capitals for the first time when I saw the title of this video. I tried a similar quiz a few months ago and only got 12 correct. I've been trying to learn them all and on my first attempt at this particular quiz, I got 45/47, only getting the capital of Malta (I was like 2 letters off) and Moldova (had nooo clue) wrong. So I revised them and did it again, getting 47/47!
I'm convinced it was you who helped haha

Hi Jack, I have a tip for Ljubljana. I’m from Sweden and here ”lj” makes the sound ”j”. For example the word light in swedish is ”ljus” but we don’t pronounce the ”L”, it’s just ”jus”. So here’s the tip. Imagine Ljubljana as ”jubjana”. It’s very easy to say ”jub-jana”. After that just put a L infront of the j’s and you get Ljubljana. So don’t think about the L’s, it’s just confusing👍Hope that helps, love your content here on this channel. You’ll get through this, we’ll get through this with you!❤️

  • @Liggliluff

(12:45) I get that some capital cities are annoying to spell because they don't have an English spelling. Slovene capital Ljubljana is pronounced /ljubljaːna/, which with English spelling could be "Lyublyana", but the first Y /j/ might get lost over time, simplifying it to "Lublyana". Same goes with the Icelandic capital Reykjavík, pronounced /reiːcaviːk/, so in English could be "Raykaveek", or using the English cognate with "vík" being "wick", it could be "Raykavick". But it is what it is...

    HOW TO REMEMBER CAPITALS
Belgium - B for brussels and B for Belgium.
Bulgaria - Shaped like bull, its owner is Sofia hence it capital.
Albania - Since Jack thinks that the Albanian flag is very nice, its capital sounds like Tiana hence its capital is Tirana...
Luxembourg - Although its the biggest micro state, its still its own capital, so biggest state, own capital.
Switzerland - Switzerland can be crazy sometimes, its capital Bern sounds like Burn but its the opposite because its very ecofriendly.. So Bern..
Romania - Romania is shaped like a fish, so the fish needs some rest hence its capital, Bucharest.
Hungary - Budapest, Bud a guy is a pest and is hungry after all that naughtyness he did. Hence, Hungary..
These are very weird ways so I hope it'll help you.. !!!

Hi jack. Just wanted to leave a small tip for the Asian capitals:
Sri lanka has 2 capitals: Sri Jayawardenepura kotte, and colombo. You only need to enter 1 of these 2 to get the answer right, and obviously Sri jayawardenepura kotte is much easier to remember being a mere characters long compared to the ridiculous 7 of colombo

When you get to Asia, the capital of Sri Lanka is "Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte"
