Soothing Vocal Therapy Exercise
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2021
- Use this exercise to relieve tired, sore or swollen vocal folds. Great to use as a cool down after singing or to start your warmup if you're in rough shape. Also great for anyone who becomes hoarse from speaking too much or too loud. Any skill level can do this. It's OK if you don't sound good at first. Gently repeat the exercise until your voice smooths out.

Mark, where did you buy those hair? Great exercise and entertainment in the same video!
If I tell you then everyone will have magic hair!
any chance you know how i can tell i have vocal damage? when i talk i feel fine but when i sing my my voice starts to feel tired and break up a bit. will this exercise help? and sometimes i can do a vocal fry and sometimes i can’t, since to do a vocal fry your vocal cords need to be flexible does that mean i dont, and that i just have vocal fatigue?

Im watching frm Malaysia n has always been following yr lesson..such a wonderful teacher.
How can i keep a steady stream? I laughed when u go underwater😂
I become less funny the more you watch! :)
Because of Covid here in Thailand, I have not worked or sung for more than 2 years. Just soft singing at home or not at all. Now I feel I have no "tone" to my voice and of course, no range. Can you please suggest some practice that may help me to get back in shape a little bit? THANK YOU
thanks for your reply do you think i should do this and the other video? and if some can do a vocal fry does it mean it is not damage? thank you so much
I think you should do ALL the videos in the playlist. You're not damaged - just impatient.
My teacher used to give it to me when I have a hoarse voice 🤨☹️ hope won’t have it again
For me I used to have a really stable voice and I could sing anything perfectly without straining my voice at all , but for a few months , I didn’t know that I was straining my voice and kind of started to sing in a false voice for a long time. So I felt like there was a lump in my throat every time I talk or sing , also I wanted to learn how to vocal fry and I guess I did it incorrectly cause now wherever I talk or sing , my voice keeps frying even in high pitch . My voice never cracked or fried before but now I’m not sure how to get back my original voice. I’m trying to let more air out to stop the fry and to let my vocal chords vibrate properly but I’m not sure how to do it. I feel like I’m damaging my voice more. How can I get my natural voice back , sing from the chest and stop the fry ?
Can't get through these when I'm laughing man! lol.
Hahaha - Singing is too important to take seriously!
Best video ever 😂😂😂
By the way i couldn't even speak this morning normally and after this exercise i can sing again with power ❤
@@GiorgosDetsirapis Glad to help out!
Wow you began to sound like a trombone the higher you went in pitch
Hahaha - I was always good at making trombone sounds!
☀️🌞🌻
Thanks for watching!
Hope it will help my voice i’m really struggling now everytime i want to hit a high notes and i feel my voice gets tired easily and my speaking voice sometimes got hoarse i feel so depressed I can’t do want i want to do like I did before..
Yes - this will help! But you also want to let your voice move as you sing higher to take the stress off. Follow this: ua-cam.com/video/pOYDSo-ZFBg/v-deo.html
Thanks Mark! Would you tell me the purpose of puffing out the cheeks?
Creates more back pressure (air pressure pressing down on the vocal folds opposing the pressure coming up.
Does Lax Vox do the same in result as this exercise in effect?
Yes - all the SOVT exercises do the same thing.
Hello Mark Baxter, please I would really love your respond to this....is singing with power same as belting...does it incorporate the same flow? And if it does, how long can one develop a consistent vocal power while Singing just like Sam Ryder (I guess u know him) and if you don't please do check him out so u could understand his power and his control........tnk you once more because you've always responded to my messages, am truly greatful.
It depends who's using the words "belting" and "power" because they mean different things in different genres. Sam is a wonderful singer - but he would sound weak singing in the Foo Fighters or Machine Head. It's when the singer and the sound of the music complement each other that everybody elevates.
Is it okay if there's some rumbling and growling in my voice as I do this? I can't seem to do it smooth and clean, my voice is pretty rough :(
Keep practicing!
I remembering Mr.Bean TV comedy serie he had goldfish in mouth and looked this.
That was in bingo. Not doing vocal exercises.
It is funny stuff and this is too.
And wrinkles goes away ha ha.
