Yeah it was cracking, wasn’t it. I sent him a message afterwards to thank him for the fair battle. He always left me a car’s width so we could fight safely, which you don’t get very often in sim racing these days!
This was a really hot race! You had your hands full from start to finish. You defend, you attack, you try to keep the car inside the limits...that sure was demanding for you. Fantastic racing moments with Muñoz, you both have done a great race!! Should be a P4 yes, but P5 is also a good place to be proud buddy! 💪👍
Lovely race Chris, this is exactly the kind of racing i always hope for. Nice tight battles but still respectful driving for the most part. Makes for awesome entertainment for us watching too. 👍👍

Great race! I don't really like Nurburgring, but it actually usually brings good fun racing. Going two wide in the Chicane rarely works out, so kudos to both of you for keeping it on the track!
Yeah, he’d always left me a car’s width when we battled earlier in the race, so I trusted him enough to go two wide. It was a big risk though. I messaged him after the race to thank him for bringing such a fair fight. Was great fun.
Cheers, yeah it’s a regular problem I encounter with the Lambo. It’s probably down to me pushing too hard and overdriving in the early stages… quite often I throw it into the corners too aggressively and slide through it too much. However, it only added to the drama in this one! Cheers

@chrisrogerssimracing it won't be a season long battle. We will win the league by 20points. It's crazy how dominant we are. If you get rid of the clown you will stay up, you have a squad of good footballers, much better than we had last year.
Yeah, he had us playing good football at home before the international break, but we’ve been woeful since coming back. Trying to play the same style away and we’re just being blown away. That needs to get sorted out fast. Even draws away will be ok, but we’re nowhere near it at the moment. Really poor last night again.

Haha yeah I know! I took a 0.6 safety rating hit for that 🤣 All that door banging racked up the incident points, and yeah the divebomb at T1 handed me a bit of damage too. Will need to try and keep my nose cleaner in the next race!
3:10 the steering animation goes hand over hand which makes me wonder if you have your sensitivity set right : o also, your races and videos are very entertaining, keep them coming

I honestly don’t know! We’d had such a good battle a few laps earlier… he’d always left me a car’s width, and I’d done the same for him, so I think we’d just built up a bit of trust between each other to really go for it at the end!
I did consider it, but I was feeling in a good mood after the race so I let it slide 🤣 no real harm done, I think it was just an honest mistake, and he turned into me purely because he was trying to avoid running into the back of the BMW. If it had wiped me out, I’d definitely have reported 🤣
That was a good battle with Munoz. I watched the highlights of the game and thought "Chris isn't going to take this well." 😂 If it had been, say, Sunderland, it wouldn't be so bad. But Cardiff had won 1 game all season. Cissoko's reaction, though. Not sure how much of it is down to just that, though. Was Rooney serving a ban for his sending off, or hasn't that started yet?
Yeah it was a disaster. We’ve not won away yet this season, and I honestly thought we were going to finally do it at Cardiff. Yeah Rooney was serving his one-match ban so he wasn’t on the touchline. Cissoko was a complete idiot… if only he showed the same amount of fire to track back after giving away possession! Millwall away tomorrow, so really hoping for a big reaction 🤞
I’m not racing atm due to the fact my Thrustmaster T300 rs gt has given up the ghost after 7 years hard work. Thinking either Moza R9 or Fanatec ( now that they’re solvent again). Got to convince my wife that it’s worth me investing in DD wheels. 😂
Good luck trying to get that purchase order signed off by the boss of the house 🤣 sounds like the T300 gave you a good innings, but a DD definitely makes sense for an even longer-term and more durable replacement.

Haha yeah it was a miserable afternoon on Saturday 🤣 As for the mapping, the Lamborghini generally performs best on map 3, so that’s what a lot of Lambo drivers use… map 1 is more aggressive on the throttle, but also has virtually no engine braking so doesn’t handle as well. I think this is a quirk of the Lambo, so a Lambo map 3 is the equivalent to map 1 on other cars.

The car is a handful though,

Great point! Yeah the paint job was gifted to me and I saved it to my folder but never thought about adding it to the team page. I’ll get it added this week 👍
I use a Thrustmaster TX and, honestly, I’ve never really looked at the settings beyond saving my inputs for the first time. Might well be that I need to adjust my maximum rotation angle, as several people have said it looks like I’m steering way more than I should be.
@@chrisrogerssimracing yer it just looks like you are running a very stable set up that was all. If you start practicing with a more aggresive set up then I can garantee you will be quicker.
I feel like your inputs are too harsh, you need to be smoother with braking, steering and throttle application. Sure, your tires were out of the optimal temperature window (70-90°C). But you don't lose that much grip alone. I think it was the combination of both, that you were sliding that much. But I know it is hard to be smooth if you are under pressure.
Yeah you’re exactly right. It’s an ongoing problem that I start to overdrive a bit, particularly when under pressure. I also slide the car into corners far more than I should do, which contributes to my troublesome tyre temps later in the race.
